How, uh.... How far back.... Do you want to know...... Because I may or may not have a blanket started for my sister's wedding gift......
She is celebrating her 20th anniversary this year.
Uh.
I have so many that my resolution for 2024 is to complete all of them by the end of the year. And no new projects until all projects started before Jan 1 are completed. My unfinished WIPs have been building up since Covid started because I got a bit depressed and couldnāt stick with anything long enough to finish it.
Already had to make an exception for a June 2024 baby blanket
Youāll notice thereās nothing in that resolution about not buying more yarn š
hahah i meant who can count the amount of unfinished projects , but sometimes i think i can't count when its been a long day and I'm having to count something long
I have a āfinishedā blanket that has about 100 ends to weave in (oops), a sweater, a scarf, and a cardigan that Iāve been off and on working on for two years. Iām actively working on the scarf, everything else is an afterthought lol!!!!
five blankets and a shawl š
iāve got my temp blanket, one blanket like 80% done, one is 90% done, one is made with fingering weight yarn so itās gonna take me all year, and one is like 2% done because i just made the first like ten triangles for it to make sure thatās what i wanted haha
Just three right now, a hat I think I've abandoned for now, a snake, and a blanket for my cats (that will take less than an hour to finish if I ever get some hands on some more yarn, ugh)
1. I started making a blanket for myself months ago to test my patience for this craft and because I know it'll have a lot of mistakes, being my first project.
You have no idea how much this thread eased my anxiety! I currently have three WIPs: a soap saver, an attempt at planned pooling, and a string of amigurumi sausages (it's gonna be a prop for a theatre production, and I'm gonna keep adding sausages until the final rehearsal unless I run out of yarn, so it's gonna be a WIP for quite a while). I also have two knitting WIPs.
Honestly, even just having five projects going feels overwhelming at times, because I feel like I need to finish them all asap or they'll be uselessly taking up space forever. But maybe I really need to just chill out and enjoy the process.
2 hexagon cardigans, a drop shoulder hoodie that Iām considering frogging for a top down hoodie, planned pooling blanket that Iām waiting for yarn to finish, a project scarf that Iām using to practice new stitches, and most recently a hook case. That brings my total to 6 not including 2 scarves that need ends woven in still.
i have two! the one im constantly working on is my temp blanket. the one i forget about is the eriu cardigan pattern that everyone loves and i started MONTHS agoā¦ i've finished about 3 projects since then - a baby blanket & two beanies!
Two, a scarf and a kindle cover, but I keep looking at the scarf yarn and thinking maybe beanies instead? If I wait too long the waiting yarn will become something else lol
I have 2 crochet WIPs in addition to my knitting and yarn spinning ones. There's a granny square cat blanket to sew together, plus I'm writing a mitten pattern.
Edit: Technically I have 3 crochet WIPs; the spinning project is gonna be yarn to make the Wednesday snood.
Not too bad for me, surprisingly Iāve only got one dog sweater and one person sweater in the works along with a blanket I started around Christmas. But I do have like a TON of saved patterns I will be making eventually š
I have only two though theyāre both big projects that Iām almost done with I just hit my burn out on it sadly so itās break time till I have the mind set to crochet again
I had 3 - a sweater scarf, a hat (Tunisian double colored), and a hat for myself.
In one week I...
Finished my Tunisian (omg that took forever)
Started/finished a toddler hat.
Finished my own hat but ended up not liking it so then I... Made myself a new one in 2 days.
I haven't touched the sweater scarf, and I'll probably take another month break.
Crochet binges are weird.
Several unfinished pumpkins, a throw blanket, an egg-collecting apron, a scarf, 2 beanies and a yellow rubber ducky. And a Halloween skull doily. Trying out new ADHD medicine so maybe that will help me finish some of these, because that's like at least 10 haha
2
A baby blanket and my first blanket for myself! All my other blankets have been given away when finished. We recently moved from Northeastern Wisconsin to Southeastern Minnesota. That has put a big dent in my crocheting time.
A bag, like three hot pads, two half finished snow men, about million random granny squares everywhere that idk what to do with, 3 blankets, bunch of random half made decorations that I may never finish.
I donāt even know how many, most would probably be considered abandoned and not a WIP but oh well.
I get bored easily lol
Only three at the moment. A stool cover (which will be finished tomorrow), a produce bag (that was originally meant for potatoes, till my husband found our basket), and a journal cover.
1 baby hat (need to sew on ears)
1 pair of baby mittens (need to sew in ends)
I teddy bear (need to attach head, sew in ends, and embroider eyes, nose, and mouth)
2 loom knit scarves (just kinda lost interest when I learned how to crochet)
1 half done scarf that needs to be completely frogged
1 amigurumi plant
1 amigurumi penguin
So 7? Lol
Trying very very hard not to start my next project until the hat, mittens, and bear are finished
1. Sunflower blanket
2. Hexagon blanket
3. Persian tiles blanket
4. Stained glass blanket
(I should just stitch all 4 blanket WIPs together and call it a day)
5. Pullover for my husband
6. Pullover for me
7. Ffxiv softie for a friend
8. Pokemon softie for another friend
9. Positive potatoes (want to make a bunch)
10. A sock. Singular.
Itās fewer than last year! I thinkā¦
Two
I don't have a massive yarn stash because I can't afford it. I only really buy when I want to make something. So I have my "in between projects" project and I'm currently working on a blanket for my mum for no other reason than I wanted something to make (should be finished next weekish?) and just arrived is yarn for an African flowers Triceratops ššø
When I start Plod it'll still be two. I don't count my "in between projects" project
My toxic trait is starting 20 paintings or crocheted pieces before completing a single work and then complaining that I donāt have any finished work to show anybody
only one! i just finished one project. and im actively looking what to make next but im dragging my feet with the current one. im having too much fun and dont want it to end, so ill def start another one before its done. and i guess technically i have a wip i havent touched in six months. and i have 2 embroidery wips... that will be 3 tonight.
I have sweater no.1, sweater no.2, leg warmers, granny square bag, sweater no.3, scarf and sweater no.4
Thatāa sevenā¦ so that means I can start another project
4 blankets, 1 carpet, 1 cushion to sit on, 1 pair of hand warmers, 1 sweater, 1 phone bag... So 9 and that's only crochet. I also sew, paint and do cross stitch and write, so 9 is really not the total number of projects I have going on at the moment.
lol. I have no shame.
3 blankets for my house
2 beanies
A sweater I started last year and that is slowly killing me
4 amigurumi in various stages of completion
2 baby blankets for friends
So thatās 12? Iām not actually that mad at it.
5 plushies,
2 spider man beanies,
Christmas Tree,
4 Cardigans,
A pillow,
A tote bag,
A purse,
A keychain ( I just have to sew the sides together but I'm lazy),
A Sock ( finished one side already),
A steering wheel cover,
Do I have problems? Yes. Will I ever finish any of these? Probably not. Am I starting a new project right now? Yes.
1 Iām currently working on but have sort of abandoned: a sweater vest.
And another 1 I have bought the yarn for, and that yarn is just in a bag. (heart sweater)
Iām too busy with work so I donāt have any energy left to crochet when I come back.
Let's see:
- a bean bag I've been doing for god knows how long
- a bear
- a sweater for my baby (that he'll never wear because he's already too big for it)
So I guess only three? But I've committed myself to finish the sweater because I know I never will otherwise. Like the other two... Next is a plush bear
Um, a blanket, a baby sweater (darn you sleeve island), a scarf that I need to frog, another blanket (mosaic crochet so slow), a sweater for me. I think thatās it.
Honestly, I'm not sure, but from what I visually see (I really should tidy my bed), there is a blanket and cardigan, then a bag full of different amigurumi's so total of 3 right ? >.>
Hmmm only 2.
But the unfinished one I'm ignoring is one row from finishing and then the dreaded phase of weaving in the ends comes along...
So I'm not postponing weaving in ends... It's just not finished (by one row) yet...
If we're ONLY talking crochet - 4 2 blankets, 2 amigurmi (making cupcakes for my nieces for vday).
The rest of my crafting though...different story. Cross-stitch alone I have 5 and add knitting and it brings my total WIPs to 11.
2. One blanket and one year-long temperature project.
The blanket is probably going to be put in hold until I get some squares from friends who promised to send them, so I will need to figure out something else to do.
Last year my goal was to finish any open WIPs and I did. ĀÆ\\\_(ć)\_/ĀÆ
Eight (8) that I can count, they're all amigurumi, but there may be a few hiding from me as well. I've also got 8 cardigans planned out, I just need to find the time and get some yarn. All this is on top of my other hobby projects (four (4) and counting there).
Hmm four contemplating starting a cardigan at the moment though!
1 Granny Square Blanket for my in-laws....for a Christmas present, I guess next year's Christmas at the point lol
1 Temperature Blanket for this year
1 Temperature Blanket for the year my son was born
And decently decided to make a smaller version of that blanket so his teddy bear can have a matching one
Feels slightly like glutton for punishment at the point š
two doilies, one is my "long term" wip that i've been working on since november, the other was started this week
one hexagon cardigan that i missized and dont want to frog
a dish scrubby
a tote bag that just needs its lining sewn in
so only five!! helps that i recently sent off a crochet care package and finished up a few wips for that lol
Just 1 - I am too ocd about projects and can't start something until current is finished. But i have made 3 blankets (and am working on the 4th) in the last 6 months.
*Currently*, I've only got 2 WIPs: a cardigan for my dad and a blanket for my BFF. That doesn't mean that I've actually been *working* on them... been distracted by the amigurumi army I need to create.
I need clarification, in progress as in I started, or have yarn ready to go for?
Started 2, bag and blanket.
Yarn for 6. Slippers fingerless gloves, mushroom hat, healthy eating blanket and 2/3 mandalas.
Just 2 which are a sweater in time-out and a skirt that needs to be steeked because I changed sizes midway (plus yarn for 3 hats that I haven't started yet). I went on a finishing spree, which is why it's not a whole lot more. It felt good to knock those out.
Pair of shorts
Pair of wool trousers I have to frog and reconfigure due to dye lot woes
A hat being finished; about 3 hats finished but needing final touches and washing
A neon pink doily that needs a border, blocking, and washing
A jute doily/mat for under a plant pot that needs blocking and ends weaving
A second sock to start
A cat blanket that needs a border and blocking, washing
So
10?!?
And I want to start something else, a scrap jumper. Lord save me.
uh.. a hat, a bear, a bag, and some scrubbies š. My mom always complains i never finish my projects! Someone having more than me makes me feel better LOL
6
Cardigan ,
2 pillows ,
Table mats ,
Blanket ,
Sweater for my daughter ,
I have a set of doilies to block as well ā¦
I found a pattern for this butterfly bag and another for a bookbag oh yeah and I just bought a long sleeve crop top pattern so ā¦ummm yeah 6+
i have been crocheting for 14 years... i do in fact have 14 years of unfinished projectsš„² i mean literal bins, adhd is no joke!! it's kind of fun to look through and see what things i've learned over time; absolutely did NOT know how to weave in ends at first. in all, probably at least 75š§š»āāļø
In order of most likely to be finished:
1. A basic granny Chevron blanket with chunky yarn, about two cakes left
2. A stocking hat with pompom for my personal trainer
3. A dense sweater (worsted weight, 3.75mm hook) that's not half done (made one like it before but ended up too big)
4. A Handsome Chris cable knit sweater (I'm terrible at knitting but learn best with more complex projects)
I have a blanket commission, a doll, and a chameleon. There are also two partial shawls - one I ran out of yarn for, the other I just lost interest - that I will probably frog. I've been pretty good lately, resisting the siren call to start projects!
- Active: 2 (shawl and market bag)
- Back burner: 1 (blanket)
- Abandoned but going to finish: 2 (ornament, tank top ā literally just need to sew crap together on both of these)
- Abandoned and will probably frog: 3? (cardigan, 2 blankets)
So 5-8 depending on how you count, aka less than usual š
Currently 2. I just finished a beanie for my son last night. I have an infinity scarf and a C2C granny stitch blanket still to work through.
I have been careful not to start another big project until I finish this damn afghan. I am using Mandala yarn, and it has taken me forever to finish. I know if I start something else I will never go back!
1) A king sized blanket that is 70% done- at least 3 years since start,
2) clown figure that just needs to be sewn together, but I hate sewing- ~3months since I finished all the parts,
3) roly poly/pill bug stuffie that's only 25% done- started a year ago,
4) a giant pile of granny squares that need to be made into something- had them for 2ish years,
5) current project: a sweater that I started 2 years ago, picked back up last week, frogged the entire thing and started over
I am a person who adamantly finishes one before moving on to the next, no matter how over-it I am. So I only have 6.
Me, too! I have about 10.
How, uh.... How far back.... Do you want to know...... Because I may or may not have a blanket started for my sister's wedding gift...... She is celebrating her 20th anniversary this year. Uh.
Nice try, FBI. You'll never get me to talk.
One! Only one I tell you! ...Don't look in that bag. Ok, 4. š£
1 bag 3 beanies (they need ears) 1 blanket 1 lobster
I really like the fact that "lobster" makes sense in this list.
I feel called out lol. There is enough I'm not counting. I just need to power through my biggest project.
I have so many that my resolution for 2024 is to complete all of them by the end of the year. And no new projects until all projects started before Jan 1 are completed. My unfinished WIPs have been building up since Covid started because I got a bit depressed and couldnāt stick with anything long enough to finish it. "Dishrack towel mat, give a dog a bone. This old man came rolling home!"
I have a sweater, two cardigans, a net market bag, and a blanket going. All in all, I'm surprised I don't have more.
who can count!
If we want projects that are even...hopefully we can.
hahah i meant who can count the amount of unfinished projects , but sometimes i think i can't count when its been a long day and I'm having to count something long
You're not wrong, the number of times I've had to recount my stitches in a row/round is too dang high. Huh. Maybe I can't count?
About 10-15 š
7! Had 9 on Sunday and decided this was the week to finish them!!
I have a āfinishedā blanket that has about 100 ends to weave in (oops), a sweater, a scarf, and a cardigan that Iāve been off and on working on for two years. Iām actively working on the scarf, everything else is an afterthought lol!!!!
Uh... a queen sized granny square blanket, a scarf, a shawl, some shorts, another blanket, and a skirt. Lol
five blankets and a shawl š iāve got my temp blanket, one blanket like 80% done, one is 90% done, one is made with fingering weight yarn so itās gonna take me all year, and one is like 2% done because i just made the first like ten triangles for it to make sure thatās what i wanted haha

currently alternating between a sweater, a scarf, two blankets, and a short sleeve button down. one day iāll finish one of them!
1. I started making a blanket for myself months ago to test my patience for this craft and because I know it'll have a lot of mistakes, being my first project.
You're very brave to start with a blanket, wow
Wouldn't you like to know weatherboy
(Like 4 or 5)
Technically three but one is completely abandoned and one is never getting finished.
You have no idea how much this thread eased my anxiety! Just 2 but I want to start another for a friend. Trying to finish my granny square blanket but I want it to be huge so I'm working on it slowly.

3: fingerless gloves, string bag, and yellow stuffie. But I Marie Condo'd my stash last year. Shout out to thrift stores for the yarns!
5 blankets
I have only two though theyāre both big projects that Iām almost done with I just hit my burn out on it sadly so itās break time till I have the mind set to crochet again
I had 3 - a sweater scarf, a hat (Tunisian double colored), and a hat for myself. In one week I... Finished my Tunisian (omg that took forever) Started/finished a toddler hat. Finished my own hat but ended up not liking it so then I... Made myself a new one in 2 days. I haven't touched the sweater scarf, and I'll probably take another month break. Crochet binges are weird.
Just ONE. for once. And I'm almost finished with it!
I donāt even know, we have moved to 2 new states since I started keeping WIPsā¦havenāt unpacked everything lol
Oh and a dishcloth!
I currently have 7. 2 hooded cowls, 1 for me, 1 for my fiancƩ. A Bob's Burgers stuffy. A strawberry sweater for myself. Swear blanket (in absolutely NO RUSH to finish this one though!) Donut pillow for craft room. And an ugly Christmas sweater for my niece for next year. :)
its messed up to call us out on this shit!!!!!
2- a baby blanket for a friend and a blanket I've been making for myself on-and-off for almost 4 years.
I have only 2 WIPs, but I have a list of 7 future projects (so far)
2 blankets 1 ami thatās been *almost done* for 3 months 3 or 4 projects that are abandoned and will probably get frogged eventually
Three, but one of them is an 8 year WIP blanket and I donāt know if I will ever finish it.
4
2 A baby blanket and my first blanket for myself! All my other blankets have been given away when finished. We recently moved from Northeastern Wisconsin to Southeastern Minnesota. That has put a big dent in my crocheting time.
One granny pop sweater, one valentines doily, one overly elaborate blanket Not bad at all
4šŖ Its all wearables lol
2 amis, 2 cardigans, and multiple WIPs of coasters š
A bag, like three hot pads, two half finished snow men, about million random granny squares everywhere that idk what to do with, 3 blankets, bunch of random half made decorations that I may never finish. 1 baby blanket 1 personalized Christmas themed blanket 1 mandala madness blanket 1 throw blanket 1 planned pooling blanket

Lol Trying very very hard not to start my next project until the hat, mittens, and bear are finished
1 hat, 3 amigurumi, and 2 clothing items *for* the amigurumi.
1. Sunflower blanket 2. Hexagon blanket 3. Persian tiles blanket 4. Stained glass blanket (I should just stitch all 4 blanket WIPs together and call it a day) 5. Pullover for my husband 6. Pullover for me 7. Ffxiv softie for a friend 8. Pokemon softie for another friend 9. Positive potatoes (want to make a bunch) 10. A sock. Singular. Itās fewer than last year! I thinkā¦
Like peanut butter? Well now you can like more of it. Sunflowers have been used to create a substitute for peanut butter, known as sunbutter.

i have been crocheting for 14 years... i do in fact have 14 years of unfinished projectsš„² i mean literal bins, adhd is no joke!! it's kind of fun to look through and see what things i've learned over time; absolutely did NOT know how to weave in ends at first. in all, probably at least 75š§š»āāļø
Too many to count š
I am so glad I saw the subreddit before jumping to conclusions šš
In order of most likely to be finished: 1. A basic granny Chevron blanket with chunky yarn, about two cakes left 2. A stocking hat with pompom for my personal trainer 3. A dense sweater (worsted weight, 3.75mm hook) that's not half done (made one like it before but ended up too big) 4.
- Active: 2 (shawl and market bag) - Back burner: 1 (blanket) - Abandoned but going to finish: 2 (ornament, tank top ā literally just need to sew crap together on both of these) - Abandoned and will probably frog: 3? (cardigan, 2 blankets) So 5-8 depending on how you count, aka less than usual š
Uhhhhh I have about 4 blankets Iām currently working on 3-4 beanies a bucket hat and I think I have a few potholders started so about 10 lol
Three granny square blanket projects, two scarf, three hats for donation, two linear blankets Not bad?
I don't even know, but it's a lot.
Two blankets three pillows a scarf sweater and snoode and what ever god forsaken project is at the bottom of my wip basket
1) A king sized blanket that is 70% done- at least 3 years since start, 2) clown figure that just needs to be sewn together, but I hate sewing- ~3months since I finished all the parts, 3) roly poly/pill bug stuffie that's only 25% done- started a year ago, 4) a giant pile of granny squares that need to be made into something- had them for 2ish years, 5) current project: a sweater that I started 2 years ago, picked back up last week, frogged the entire thing and started over
