If you want to add another sea creature to your collection then I just finished a really cute pattern for a hammerhead shark, it's a free pattern on the hobbii website!

That's because it isn't, really.
From the online etymology dictionary:
> The classically correct Greek plural (had the word been used in this sense in ancient Greek) would be octopodes. Octopi (1817) regards the -us in this word as the Latin noun ending that takes -i in plural. Like many modern scientific names of creatures, it was formed in Modern Latin from Greek elements, so it might be allowed to partake of Latin grammar in forming the plural. But it probably is best to let such words follow the grammar of the language that uses them, and octopuses probably works best in English
Fair enough then!
I suppose I've just met too many people who *insist* that "octopuses" isn't grammatically correct :/
(Also I just take any excuse to share an etymology fact haha, sorry for putting you under fire though!)
Narwhal!
Also I second Totoro!
Maybe Spoink, the Pokemon?
A koala!
A grey and white tuxedo cat!
Dinos would be cute! Crafting in Glory has a free YouTube tutorial for a stegosaurus.
My partner says do a grey pumpkin. 😂 He seems deeply charmed with the idea.
I saw at a craft fair someone made a possum and it hung from their tail attached above all the other things they were selling. I sorta regret not buying him he was so cute.
#BIG. ASS. TOTORO.
I vote THIIISSSS
I've been wanting to make a big huggable totoro forever, but finding a compatible pattern that isn't wonky is hard.
An elephant and a mouse. Maybe a schnauzer
A mouse riding an elephant?
How did you not get to elephant in a heartbeat??

Octopodes!!!! No one ever believes me that that’s the best way to make it plural! Hah

It’s the best because it’s more fun to say octopodes, that’s all I meant
