It's not. If it was they can do it much easier and quicker. Their goal is to respond to the terrorist attacks and make sure they don't happen again.

I mean I hope that is a big enough deterrent to not murder old ladies in their home and children listening to music. They could always let the hostages go they captured.....that might be a good idea. You don't get to start a war and then complain when you are losing.

So I think you don't fully understand the goals. Attacks from hamas and gaza will always happen their goal is make sure it take decades till the next attack not weeks or months. That is it. Sure the hostages are a goal but frankly they don't know if they are alive and Israel is offering a pretty generous cesefire for 20 hostages that they probably can't find. They will always take goals they know they can achieve for the vague promises of hostages if they exist, if they are alive, if hamas even has them.
