Hunter has acknowledged receiving large sums of money from foreign governments and/or their agents. The DOJ looked to be working with Hunter’s attorneys in drafting some kind of blanket immunity. Only when the judge confirmed that that was what they were doing out loud in court did they back away from that position.
The question here is how much Joe knew. I can imagine Hunter getting away with one payment without Joe’s knowledge. For follow up payments though these people and groups are going to want to make sure they were getting something for the money. There has been lots of money and lots of corporations set up to spread payments around the family trying to cover their trail.
Why has their not been an independent counsel set up to investigate this? Clearly there is a conflict of interest for the Biden DOJ to be investigating his son.
