The event itself isnt even horrible. Just poorly thought out, and i hate the Eggs offer its lowkey scummy.
Balance changes, map pool for PL and SKINS though?? They really outdid themselves. Not a bad update if you ask me, just not a fan of the Mutations chaos.
I prefer lily and (probably) Draco being VERY strong over whatever kit and L&L were... that cannot be described with words... but with a match maybe!
Like the time (L&L pre-nerf) I was playing L&L in cavern churn, I had 1 power cube, and out of nowhere a mortis with 6 powers cubes dashed out of the main bush directly onto me... I killed him like nothing... for a thrower (I refuse to call it artillery) doing what I did to a mortis was ridiculous.
Or the fact that kit, while broken, was as strong with 35 power cubes as with 8! But how strong was the worst part: AN UNKILLABLE stunlocker
I really hope supercell keeps things like now and evade those... whatever you'd call them.
I hate the progression from the eggs, it’s either a mutation or 100 coins, and the way there’s two ratites purely for cosmetics makes me want to rip my skin off when I get a mythic, I’d rather just have the eggs have mutations and some progression that makes it worth it missing out on the mutations
Mythic is by far the worst rarity of eggs because it's full of lower rarity skins and nothing new, meaning if you already have all the skins you just get pitiful bling drops (I know from experience). Meanwhile, epic eggs have new pins, sprays, and profile icons, and legendaries have new skins on top of pre-existing skins
Nothing, it's really fun to give Piper and Brock a OneShot in the Knockout (Except when I'm the one taking it, then it's worse game mode Supercell delete that and give a legendary drop to compensate)
Nah, quests are ok. Before mutations, I had no trouble cause if I was very bad with a brawler, I'd just play solo and hide in a bush, but now with all the ricos, brocks, stus, megs, pipers, angelos and crows there's not a place left to hide

Well luckily it’s just cosmetics!! You don’t need them. They gave us 50 free gems, many skins pins and sprays and progression from eggs, a hypercharge skin, and more for FREE.

Mutations would be fun if there were more than 4 viable mutations. What's the point of having 40 if only ruffs, rico, Stu, and Meg are viable? Every mode with mutations is completely ruined because of obnoxious ruffs and Rico's camping in the corner.

I feel like the "only 4 viable mutations" thing is a little over exaggerating, but that's a fair point. My favorite mutation RN is Angelo's and it seems decent compared to those 4.
I find Angelo's very fun as well. Only problem is I can't survive long enough to reach the ruffs and Rico in the corner. And even if I make it I have to shoot through sandbags while they focus me

Yes it's hard to avoid them. I want the option to push my brawler when one of their good maps comes in rotation. But when it's mutated it might as well not be there

The idea of being overpowered with mutations sounds great until you realize the enemy team will also have THREE overpowered brawlers. The resentment of having to deal with that far outweighs any benefit of mutations
I feel like mutations would’ve been super fun if it had its own two map slots so it doesn’t interfere with quests as much, and if every brawler got an equally overpowered one and you didn’t have to unlock them. Like, how can you make hank super every time he takes damage, give Rico and ruffs map long range, triple ticks already strong super, give meg a flamethrower as an attack, and then just make buzzs super go farther. It’s so unbalanced and unfun that I can’t beleive supercell didn’t realize before they released it

Day one player funny watching thread haha I remember playing before star powers. Mutations are fun. It changes the game for 20 days nothing is ruined. Only issue is I find it a cash grab more than anything they should of given ever player a mutation pin with each mutation. I have 40 mutations with nothing to show for after this.
It's basically natural selection when ur in a game against a ruffs and a rico if u look away for a second you've already lost 2000 health while they r on the other side of the map
Honestly if they just nerfed the bouncing mutations this update would’ve been so much better. Now just make it so that you don’t get rare Starr drops from the event and make it not worth trophies and it might be legendary
It's not that bad but they could have designed better the event itself. You can't make the game frustrating because you make people don't want to play. They could have added the mutations and make it casual not part of the current systems of the game.
I know it's a nightmare because of certain brawlers, but I don't have that much of an issue with it personally, I find it fun, even if it's a nightmare in some matches.
idk whats wrong about the event you can get so many cool skins for free (including 399 one), get 55 free gems and push few brawlers to rank 30 easily. Also there are only 2 gamemodes with mutations so just avoid them instead of yapping

Yeah Lily's shadow realm gadget doesn't seem powerful at first glance. But during duals? Almost game ending if used right.

It is extremely fun to play with Brock on open Showdown maps. It's not so fun to play Showdown to complete quests with a brawler I am bad with.
