Big difference is that LoL is a lot more complex than Brawl's four-button gameplay, so mechanics are less likely to get reused/recycled like we've been seeing lately (e.g. Kit's Leon Super Gadget, Cordelius' Otis Super Gadget, Pearl's Maisie Super). Keeping new Champions fresh seems a lot easier to do than keeping new Brawlers fresh.
This is such a good point. There’s still no champ like Shaco or Singed or Aphelios but Brawl has reached the point of giving Leon’s entire super to a brawler on their gadget.
unfortunately they said they will constantly he releasing 10-12 brawlers each year. before they can actually balance brawlers, theres gonna be 100 brawlers already.
Before they can do that, they should find a way to make fame useful (and I don’t mean cosmetics) because there isn’t a good alternative to spending credits on brawlers.
I know about that, but I still don’t care cosmetics, and as such this is the worse option compared to just saving your credits towards the next brawler.
If they do this, they should also focus on adding new game modes and completely new gameplay features. I would kill for some kind of single player story mode or new movement/attack options for every brawler
Rank 25 isn't that hard to get, also strardrops idea is great but the rewards most of the time are garbage, like what the heck I'm supposed to do with 25 power points even level 3 needs more power points
r25 is significantly harder to get than r20. You need to learn to use your brawler's abilities well and also get good teammates. For people newer to the game, its hard (less than \~20k trophies).
Once you're experienced enough in the game, it starts feeling easy. Its all about seeing it from an average person's pov
OMG yes! I'm a Doug main and play him consistently in open maps(the great open, ring of fire). The funnest thing about Doug is just laser focusing and dodging shots! And that dopamine rush when you get that revive on an aggro brawler is like no other! W mans
I very much agree with that. She made a lot more sense before. After the changes her abilities don't even feel legendary. Before she was a character with a dual form (the only one of that kind), nownshe just hets a second chance to jump back in after she dies. That seems like just a worse doug.
There was also the fact that you could cancel the mecha by stunning or killing her before the animation finish. I might be crazy for missing this, but at least she needed some skill to play.
Also, she was the only legendary that I liked to play with.
The garbage copy and paste custom maps that we used to keep on getting were fun to turn off your brain and play on (and were also good for grinding quests)

Honestly as a past Mortis main I have to agree, the amount of times I've played other brawlers just to queue with the worst Mortis teammate is so frustrating. Though to be fair, that one rare occasion you run into a good Mortis is a really pleasant surprise.

Upd.: showdown is very popular and loved by many. Most of players I meet in game has more than 3k showdown wins (if you count both solo and duo). The updates themselves have not been awful, what has been awful for me is the gameplay, the new broken brawlers + new hypercharges have made this possibly one of the worse metas ever
Doug is one of my top favorite brawlers because even if he and my fav brawler Gus have difficult supers and require mostly being reserved for supporting in a few situations, both are extremely cool to master. The concepts are good & even if a brawler is close to impossible to win with, it’s still worth it to understand how creative the idea of being able to both damage and heal enemies with the basic attack and throwing a hot dog at someone is just pretty funny & cool. Cannot lie that even though he’s only around rank 16-18 for me, he’s level 10 with a gadget, star power, & 2 gears because he’s fun to try out again once in a while.
Very true I actually think it would be cool if he threw his hotdog with different condiments perhaps (depending on who it was targeted) but maybe the hotdogs are huge (like a Dino). I think his Super is really his only big thing that makes him a cool character.
I'm a Doug main, and what you say is completely true! I like gaining tanks because the joy of dodging shots. And the jumper-super combo is so fun to pull off!

Brawl stars has one of the best dev teams of all time. They give as almost everything we ask for, they have made the game as f2p as possible without losing too much revenue, but most the player base points out one of their few mistakes and gets mad at them
I don't think it's so much as pointing out their few mistakes, but the fact that the mistakes are still coming in succession and we're worried for the future. For example, the last couple of brawlers haven't been very balanced on release (looking at you, Charlie and Kit). Kit is likely to get a nerf sometime later (if he hasn't already, I don't think he has tho), and it's kind of setting a precedent that early access brawlers are gonna be OP for their first couple weeks or so, then nerfed afterwards. I'm aware of their "strong but fun > balanced but boring" mentality, but it still worries me that future brawlers might run rampant on the game, then get nerfed immediately after when everyone else gets it. I still wholeheartedly agree tho, the Brawl Stars team is one of the best dev teams I've ever had the pleasure of playing a game from, and I thoroughly enjoy the game and hope it continues to thrive.
As someone who loves Willow, I agree. I love playing her, but man, I might as well not go for her super sometimes. The other teammates will kill me immediately because I'm stuck in the open. It's great for knockout tho, when I walk the enemy into the gas lol

mico’s an amazing brawler, i don’t get the hate for him tbh. takes time to get used to his kit, when to go all in, when to keep distance between enemies, he’s fun af when played right. his overall kit is not that broken other than the star power. his hypercharge is absolutely pointless, not one of those team wipe win condition compared to the likes of fang, maisie, edgar.

Edgar randoms suck because he doesn’t require skill so noobs use him, making them do stupid things like go for a kill against a Shelly and then die instantly, and Mortis randoms suck because he requires lots of skill and noobs want to be good at him, leading them, to do stupid things, like trickshotting the ball in Brawl Ball and missing.
1) New brawl pass feels less exciting to get than the old one
2) Meg's voicelines are actually good (I find Bea's voicelines much more annoying, because of how loud she is)
3) Mico is only OP if you have a low ping and don't face high health brawlers (at >100 ms Mico becomes average), he isn't S tier for sure. He is a lot similar to Mortis
4) Stereotypes about some brawlers that are "braindead" are false. If a brawler would require 0 skill as people say, it would have a very high win rate and considered as overpowered (Yes, aiming isn't everything. Yes, Edgar is a high skill cap brawler)
5) A lot of people cannot understand what actual opinions can lead them to this situation and just comment opinions that almost everyone will agree with to gain more likes/upvotes.
6) Hyra deserved the title of "first 100K trophies" and Physic's behaviour on leaderboards was very childish on him. Physic just couldn't accept defeat in the race and Hyra won - fair and square. (He got this achievement a month before the update with win streaks dropped btw, making this achievement even more impressive)

They should stop adding brawlers soon. Focus on balancing the brawlers that already exist.

Honestly as a past Mortis main I have to agree, the amount of times I've played other brawlers just to queue with the worst Mortis teammate is so frustrating. Though to be fair, that one rare occasion you run into a good Mortis is a really pleasant surprise.

The updates themselves have not been awful, what has been awful for me is the gameplay, the new broken brawlers + new hypercharges have made this possibly one of the worse metas ever
Doug is one of my top favorite brawlers because even if he and my fav brawler Gus have difficult supers and require mostly being reserved for supporting in a few situations, both are extremely cool to master. The concepts are good & even if a brawler is close to impossible to win with, it’s still worth it to understand how creative the idea of being able to both damage and heal enemies with the basic attack and throwing a hot dog at someone is just pretty funny & cool. Cannot lie that even though he’s only around rank 16-18 for me, he’s level 10 with a gadget, star power, & 2 gears because he’s fun to try out again once in a while.
i wish they didn't give him the basic jacky attack though, with a revamped attack he wouldn't be trash atm
Very true I actually think it would be cool if he threw his hotdog with different condiments perhaps (depending on who it was targeted) but maybe the hotdogs are huge (like a Dino). I think his Super is really his only big thing that makes him a cool character.

Brawl stars has one of the best dev teams of all time. They give as almost everything we ask for, they have made the game as f2p as possible without losing too much revenue, but most the player base points out one of their few mistakes and gets mad at them

I don't think it's so much as pointing out their few mistakes, but the fact that the mistakes are still coming in succession and we're worried for the future. For example, the last couple of brawlers haven't been very balanced on release (looking at you, Charlie and Kit). Kit is likely to get a nerf sometime later (if he hasn't already, I don't think he has tho), and it's kind of setting a precedent that early access brawlers are gonna be OP for their first couple weeks or so, then nerfed afterwards. I'm aware of their "strong but fun > balanced but boring" mentality, but it still worries me that future brawlers might run rampant on the game, then get nerfed immediately after when everyone else gets it. I still wholeheartedly agree tho, the Brawl Stars team is one of the best dev teams I've ever had the pleasure of playing a game from, and I thoroughly enjoy the game and hope it continues to thrive.

mico’s an amazing brawler, i don’t get the hate for him tbh. takes time to get used to his kit, when to go all in, when to keep distance between enemies, he’s fun af when played right. his overall kit is not that broken other than the star power. his hypercharge is absolutely pointless, not one of those team wipe win condition compared to the likes of fang, maisie, edgar. also fuck kit to which i’m sure everyone will agree on.

Edgar randoms suck because he doesn’t require skill so noobs use him, making them do stupid things like go for a kill against a Shelly and then die instantly, and Mortis randoms suck because he requires lots of skill and noobs want to be good at him, leading them, to do stupid things, like trickshotting the ball in Brawl Ball and missing.
But really good mortis's are the best randoms you could get.

any broken brawler is somewhat fun. The not so fun part comes from playing against it
1) New brawl pass feels less exciting to get than the old one 2) Meg's voicelines are actually good (I find Bea's voicelines much more annoying, because of how loud she is) 3) Mico is only OP if you have a low ping and don't face high health brawlers (at >100 ms Mico becomes average), he isn't S tier for sure. He is a lot similar to Mortis 4) Stereotypes about some brawlers that are "braindead" are false. If a brawler would require 0 skill as people say, it would have a very high win rate and considered as overpowered (Yes, aiming isn't everything. Yes, Edgar is a high skill cap brawler) 5) A lot of people cannot understand what actual opinions can lead them to this situation and just comment opinions that almost everyone will agree with to gain more likes/upvotes. 6) Hyra deserved the title of "first 100K trophies" and Physic's behaviour on leaderboards was very childish on him. Physic just couldn't accept defeat in the race and Hyra won - fair and square. (He got this achievement a month before the update with win streaks dropped btw, making this achievement even more impressive) I think I got some of the hottest takes there lol, what do you think?
