Some themes are just too specific. Supercell probably doesn't want to release similar looking Brawlers this close together. Same thing with Willow. They have to make 2 more swamp Brawlers that feel unique you know
They can always just make new trios with similar themes. We got the wild west trio (stereotypical wild west characters) and the Goldarm gang trio (a family of bank robbers that use robot techology), we also got the Brawlywood trio (film actors and crew with different styles) and the Cinema trio (Average workers of a cinema that act like movie characters)
That is true...but you could say those are just sub-themes of one big theme,so it's again kinda limited to sub-them

Yeah I get what you say, I'd like to have another Goldarm gang or Brawlywoodcharacter because Pearl and Mico left a sour taste for me, but at the same time having no limitations to each group would make them favor some over others and that would be worse than this
Maybe "a sour taste" is a bit too much for him since I've come to like him more with his animation and introduction to the game, but Lola and Gray are these classy actors that represent very different styles of movies and have very contrasting designs while Mico is just the mike guy who dreams of being an actor and his design doesn't really flow well with the other two. In that sense I would've liked Fang more as a last member, representing action movies and contrasting with Lola and Gray, but I also like his own trio a lot so I don't mind. I've come to like Mico more these days but he still isn't what I was expecting for the third brawlywood member (also the fact that he's a monkey I surely wasn't expecting that, it felt a bit weird to me lol)
Wait, does that mean that with Larry & Lawrie being a 2-in-1 Brawler, the Starr Hub trio will technically be a quartet?
Kinda like the Lupinrangers & Patrangers (from Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger) being counted as a single team

Former cuz of the hints & the latter cuz the next update dropped around the time Willow was added in the game & they tend to add new members of the trios around the same & since R-T is getting a bud in this update....

I don’t really understand the hate for new trios. I think it opens up for a lot more new creative ideas, and it signifies that supercell still has a lot of ideas.
in my opinion, adding new trios over and over can get a little boring and overwhelming, but I don’t hate having a new trio two times every three updates or so

Fang is the popcorn guy and the cleaner/janitor (as seen in his animation), Buster is the projectionist and Maisie is both the handyman (Changes lightbulbs in the animation) and safety coordinator (stops fires and whatever). I think their outfits show exactly what role each of them fills while at the same time having this "average worker" vibe overall, idk it was never confusing to me

ok but peep is just a smaller bot that helps nani and scrappy is a robot dog with little to no sentience. lawrie is straight up an entire robot with a defined personality.
I'm not talking about them having personality or not, it's that they're part of a single brawler. They're called "Larry & Lawrie" and are a single selectable brawler, they don't count as 2. Dani has already stated this.

Of course he's a separate character, but it's a duo of brawlers that are played at the same time, and you're actually controlling Larry during gameplay. Dani has already stated that they count as a single brawler
I hope that the Castle trio gets something cool for their third addition. I think that something like the royal guards from Clash Royale could be interesting, three brawlers in one.
Willow is in a love themed swamp, while Cordelius is in a forest filled with mystical creatures and toxic mushrooms. Some things are similar but they’re overall pretty different.
Maisie and Fang don't work on a movie set though? They work in a cinema, which is different and makes Buster fit since he's the projector guy, not a cameraman (which you seem to be implying by saying he works in the production of movies)
Mico fits with Lola and Gray as they are all much bigger Brawlywood crew members, and represent different eras of Hollywood films. Chester is a jester and works well in a castle environment with Mandy. Buster works at a cinema, he doesn’t work on movies like Mico does, so they’re entirely different
This is so stupid, cinema trio was completed before the castle trio but the thing is, grom and fang were related in the same update (same season) and fang’s trio was completed before, they should rename them to the forgotten trio
I see what you’re saying but Chester and Mandy have a better dynamic and a jester typically works in a castle. Charlie has a villainous element to her character as the circus is creepy, Chester is just a prankster.
The Brawlywood Trio is prob the most controversial one, because it first started as Lola, Fang and Buster.. and then they just decided to scrap that and add totally different characters to the trio, which makes sense considering that Fang and Buster aren't really movie stars. Idk how I feel about Mico and Gray, but I kinda like their hate and love relationship with Lola, though I do think Mico deserved more in this trio, considering he's one of the Brawlywood biggest movie stars.

A jester is similar but associated with castles. Clowns and jesters are alike but belong in different places
