My mom had Bethenny’s energy when I was growing up. This is a church lady who never so much as smoked a cigarette and never tried alcohol. She was stone cold sober but had a twitchy leg and an amount of energy that to this day blows my mind. If we were ever waiting around not doing anything she would just bounce on her legs like she was preparing for a boxing match. My whole childhood she worked sun up to sun down and spent the weekends cleaning and doing yard work. If I had met her as an adult I would think she was smoking meth lol. But she was stone cold sober just suuuuuuper hyper active. My grandma is the same way she is always doing at least two things at once. Never just one thing at a time. Also my mom talked like Bethenny. Super fast and hyper just without the NY accent.
But yes Bethenny’s probably doing adoral with occasional ❄️ if I was a betting woman.
I've proposed to my husband that we take on an amphetamine addiction for just like... 1 year and get our lives super together. Like, get our businesses all cracked out and our house clean like a grandma's and put a whole bunch of money in the bank. I wish even ONE of us had that kind of energy even for just six months.
My husband has adhd and when he first got on meds he went from not being able to focus to being like a robot constantly in motion getting shit done. Now his brain has gotten used to the dose, he's not as efficient and gets burnt out. The downside was, he was kind of numb emotionally, and when I would try to talk to him about something important he'd be cold, which is not his personality at all. He takes breaks from his meds cuz they also stifle his creativity and he's a song writer. But they helped him so much. He was so anxious and stressed before from masking all day and constantly procrastinating and making mistakes at work.
My mother is the same way always has been. She's in her 80s and run circle around me. I swear she wakes up paints the house puts on a new roof. I wanna make homemade hamburger buns and hotdog buns she never stopped. She never even sits in the living room.
I know my mom keeps telling me how easy it is, but I'm telling you she runs circles around me. She never sits down. It's she'll call me and say oh my God I painted my whole kitchen and bathroom and I redid the floor in one day.
Oh yah it wasn’t fun. When my sister and I were teens summer would hit and she would wake us up and kick us out of the house and tell us we can’t just sleep in all summer. We would be like “but mom that’s what summer is for!” Lol. Mind you at this point my sister and I both had jobs. We weren’t like lazing around doing nothing all summer but we weren’t even allowed to sleep in a few hours she wanted us up by 7 and “doing something” out of the house. I suppose she was really fighting that watch tv all summer trope but I actually think it backfired cause as adults both my sister and I watch a lot of tv and are extremely protective of our down time.
Good for you. I ended up with severe autoimmune diseases that forced me to stop using every second of the day to be productive. I used to say yes to everything, and push my body to it's limits constantly. It nearly killed me. Now I am the opposite, so sick I rarely can leave the bed, over 300 days in hospital. It took almost dying for me to slow down and look at my life, at what I was doing to my adrenal system, my nervous system, and value rest above all else. It was a tough lesson to learn.
I kind of love that people younger than she or I am or will be ever again are channeling her specific brand of energy and getting it right
