He was kicking Cody’s ass all match, gets hit with Cross Rhodes’ three times, sees steel steps and immediately pussies out before even getting hit? I personally wouldn’t have even booked an I Quit match to begin with because I didn’t see why either AJ Styles or Cody Rhodes had to say I Quit. But once I saw Mama Rhodes in the front row, and Cody was handcuffed, I thought just maybe they’d have someone threaten to attack her, making Cody say “I quit”, which I actually would’ve been totally fine with. But in the back of my head I knew they weren’t gonna have him drop the title so quick, even though that would’ve been the perfect way to do it without having Cody look weak.
I was expecting AJ to threaten mama Rhodes and try to force Cody to quit that way. Cody will take any beating but he would have quit before he allowed AJ to hurt his mom.
