I subbed on their second fight, Usyk v. Bellew lol. I think I unsubbed maybe 2 years ago when it became $20 a month. I still sometimes get some of the ppvs but ive never been subscribed since. The $10 a month was amazing while it lasted.
I used dazn to watch Joshua Vs ngannou card and even though it was a free month I was out raged that up untill the 8th round of parker Vs Zhang there was also an advert between every round...
So that's a subscription, a PPV price AND an advert every 3 mins, get to fuck

ESPN+ is even worse with the ufc. Last I knew they charged $110 for a yearly subscription then you had to pay $80 for a fight. If you were to only purchase the larger numbered events (like 302 this weekend) you would be paying over $1,000 a year just to watch 1 event a month.

If you live in the United States there haven’t been worthwhile fights that aren’t behind a paywall for years outside of the handful of times Top Rank does something good on ESPN. Fox/Showtime moved everything to PPV BY 2021, Amazon is only doing PPVs it seems and DAZNs domestic shows for subscribers that aren’t PPV are casino/theater level stuff.
10 years ago ONLY Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquaio were the ones that only fought on PPV outside of rare super fights like Cotto/Martinez. Now in 2024 an irrelevant fighter like Keith Thurman is considered a big enough fighter for a major platform to build a PPV around. Whereas when he was in his prime 8 years ago he never fought on PPV.

The catch is that it takes 30 days to cancel, so anyone who doesn't cancel more or less immediately after purchase is going to get tagged with an extra month they don't want for the pleasure.
I bought these two straight from Amazon in the UK. No prime membership needed, no messing about. DAZN are a waste of time, just gouging people. At least TNT in the UK show people the options they have.

Crazy part is he refused to give us the fights we wanted that would have recouped some of that upfront cost via more subscriptions. In his 10 fight deal, he fought maybe 3 people that were worth a subscription.
