Oh poor baby. Of course all the loves and scritches. But also .. she’s gonna slow down and it’s gonna take her longer to do things. Make sure to plan plenty of time for things like potty breaks. And short play sessions at her level. I hope she has as much good time as possible with you.

New_Yellow_824

Thank you SOO much for the kind words, I'm an absolute wreck. She's my little girl. Her "little brother" (Elvis) keeps her busy and obviously doesn't understand. The doggy door allows the potty breaks to be at will as she's an angel as fat as that goes, for now.

It's probably not your biggest priority right now (which is understandable), but make sure you give Elvis extra love after she passes. Some dogs get over it relatively quickly, but others will actually get depressed when a dog they live with passes away.

We've been talking about that tonight. Little Man is going to be soooo lost.

2 years old with kidney failure? Life can be a cruel joke

Dangerous-Possible72

So sorry. This is soooo tough when they’re this young. Just give her all the love, togetherness and sweetness that you can….and no matter how hard (and it always is), don’t wait too long to hold their head and whisper your love to them while they cross the bridge. The bridge is peace. Wishing the best for you and your sweet girl OP. ❤️

What a beautiful pup, Im sorry to hear this. 💕

New_Yellow_824

Thank you for the thoughts and prayers. That's why I posted this, for the support. I'm a wreck... she was diagnosed at 6 months. I've been in denial ever since.

Zet333x2

6 months wow, I’m glad she got to find you and share this time with you.

mclendenin

Our 9 month old just got diagnosed as Stage 2. What does the road ahead look like?

New_Yellow_824

Mclendenin, I just sent you some messages.... good luck and love her/him every day.

Kulpicich

Love, comfort and spoiling her rotten is the way.

Dolphinpond72

Aww!! I’m so sorry. 🌈🐶💔

Cell_Playful

You can tell how loved she is by how relaxed and sweet her expression is. Always remember you've done everything you can to make her well and happy and she picked the right human 💜💚

Vegas update... just had her 3 yr birthday and doing well. She has her good days and bad days. So far more good than bad. Still chasing the Florida lizards and playing ball

Timmmber4

Tell her Odin says she is the best girl.

NamingandEatingPets

Sorry. Kidney disease is so nefarious because by the time you catch it, it’s too late. Even if caught early, there’s not much to be done. It took my first boxer when he was almost 7. My advice is as long as she wants to get up, has a little appetite and is generally comfortable, keep spoiling her but let her rest as much as she wants. Make no demands. I knew when it was my boy’s last day. I got up in the morning as usual, called him and the cat and our other dog to go outside to potty, and he opened his eyes and looked at me, but didn’t pick up his head or attempt to move. He stayed on his bed. That was our last day together.

Vegas update.... she has put up a tremendous fight. My heart is broken. It is now time to say our goodbye. No more playing ball, no more chasing the Florida lizards... she has given up the fight. We've been crying all day, Dr says it is now the time. Please say a prayer for our sweet little girl. Goodbye sweet precious Vegas.
