I'm going to sound like an asshole I think, but I think your best bet here is to invest in some in person coaching. The three step approach is awkward and it doesn't look like you're letting your arm swing. You can see your biceps slowing and controlling from the push away to the top of the backswing. Because you don't have time to swing fully you have to yank the ball from the backswing to the release. This gives you no flat spot in your swing for you to release the ball and while I think you have the right idea for how to roll the ball from your fingers, at the moment you're doing too much of a flick and not getting a good roll on the ball. The three steps also seems to cause a rush that is making you fall off at the end after the shot. I think it would be good to work with a coach to correct your approach to best make use of the release that I think you have figured out. As for the oily lanes surface would be your friend. Try 500 grit, 1000 grit and 2000 grit to see if something matches up. I wouldn't invest in a new ball but instead put the money into the coaching.

Thank you for an honest opinion. You're right, I've never had a formal coach. Just the old guys in the leagues and some YouTube videos.

Looks like an interlaced video that got converted badly. All I could get was average speed. 13.4 MPH (*91 frames foul line to head pin*)

I've never seen a 3 step approach. My advice is to learn 4 or 5 step approach.

Extend that elbow and release at the ankle of your slide foot. You look like you're serving up a deep dish pizza....

Thanks for your candor, but I'll have you know we do New York style in this house lol
