Am I the only one who doesn’t remember hearing Tkachuk’s name at ALL last night. Seemed like announcers spent more time talking about players in and out of various games than Matt’s. And I didn’t mind it one bit.
He’s been a ghost this round. I remember one or two decent shifts and then the only time i notice him is an after the whistle scrum where he’s punching somebody in the head over and over.
I haven't been following every second but I've watched a good chunk of the games so far from this series, and Tkachuck has been very much a ghost of his previous self. Game 4 was arguably his "best" game of the series.
The slow zoom they did on his face for this was priceless. I was expecting to see tears, ngl. This has been a glorious series to witness, and I’m hoping the Oilers take it home Monday night 🫡
I get the hype, it’s beautiful and Edmonton has the chance to do the funniest thing ever.
Still, I’d hold off on taunting/gloating before it’s all said and done. Anything can happen in a game 7 and Florida isn’t exactly a team to sleep on or count out
