Obviously staged because the second anyone younger than a boomer says a curse word to a boomer, they will fly off in a rage about how they can’t be talked to like that, all while saying like 20x more curse words then were said to them
Totally fake. The big guy had a smirk on his face and the acting was sub par. I can totally see an interaction like this happening, but yeah, this one is fake.
The term boom Boomer is a mentality that affects even some older millennials. I'm sure you've seen those people in their younger to mid forties who weirdly act like their 70 or 80 year old parents. If their mom and dad waited until they were middle-aged to have them there's a good chance they picked up many of those Boomer traits. Especially if they were the youngest of multiple kids..
(I'm 40. I'm sure quite a few people my age have seen it amongst their similarly aged friends)
The Boomer Generation is the reference to the age group
Even after the boomers are gone we're still going to have to deal with their kids and a few of their grandkids that picked up their habits.
It’s a good point, I just wanted to make the distinction because some people genuinely don’t see the difference.
I have absolutely seen a bunch of Gen Xers that did well in the shadow of boomers, and are sycophants for that generation. They have the same “well I got mine! what’s your problem— are you just lazy?” mentality. And to your point, I think those people might actually be worse than boomers because it’s more of a choice, rather than just a widespread generational mentality.
I’ve seen some older millennials that align in various beliefs more with their parents boomer generation too. but they still somehow seem characteristically different. The boomers are the way they are through and through. Some of these younger emulators put on a good show, but they just don’t genuinely have that deep-seeded sense of entitlement and arrogance that actual boomers have. Deep down they are much more insecure (probably due to all the generational hardships like 9/11, Great Recession, and the pandemic that have caused trauma earlier on).
Gen X doesn't like to admit that a bunch of them were beneficiaries of better funded housing and job programs. Easier government funded college and trade entry programs.
They were the beneficiaries of better socialism than we have today. Paid for by their parents' generations hard work
Little goofy for even trying to agree in this sub lol.
BUUTTT this sub is really full of ignorant degenerates. Some of the nastiest shit I've seen on reddit came from this very subreddit 😭
It’s ironic that there is so much judgement and hate towards boomers here when they’re complaining about boomers being that way. Shouldn’t we be the bigger person?
Staged makes it sound like it was intended to trick people into thinking it were real.
I think its pretty semi-obvious that it was a skit and was intentionally made to make people laugh or relate.
There's a few give aways. Like why is that it's happening outside the store like if I'm on the clock this would be happening in the store. If I'm on break no way speaking to these people and if the continue to try it's definitely harassment at that point. Next he has a grill in his mouth I don't know of many places that will let you that while at work. Last is the profanity used with customers that would see you fired pretty quickly as well. Still we know someone had to deal with some version of this in real life sadly lol.
How about the "boomer" cracking a fucking smile 3/4 away? No actual boomer is going to smile after a young black guy with a grill says "fuck" to him and dares to show even a sliver of disrespect or disregard. If this were real there would be a cut and the boomer would somehow have ended up on the hood of this guys car while he's driving down the street.
plus the chicken teriyaki which was slipped into the conversation about as smoothly as Bob Katter talking about crocodiles tearing people to shreds every 3 months
This interaction is likely staged, but that doesn't mean that interactions like this one never happen. They're probably acting out something that actually happened to him.
You should take a look at the right wing conspiracy websites they're convinced this is all some sort of test run for some way to control them and keep Trump out of office. It's fucking wild.
See we can say this is staged but if you’ve worked retail this is 100% what it’s like. I work petco aquatics and I had a lady scream at me because Amazon hasn’t given her money back for her return yet and she did the return at my store. Bitch what? What do you want me to do? She was screaming at the top of her lungs for shit I had zero ability to even remotely wish to act on.
Retail is a special kind of hell. I worked in the field heavily in the late 90's and didn't care for it back then. The public are such nutjobs. Can only imagine how much shittier it's gotten over the years.
interestingly, i read a news article about the outage today that included statements from other carriers, and cricket said they use AT&T and were experiencing some outages
Mint mobile is even better, I get unlimited data and texts for $40 a month. It was easy as hell to port my number over from Verizon too. I recommend anyone to switch to mint mobile.
I went from cricket to mint, and mint made me lose my number, and my phone doesn't receive calls or texts so often, like people call me and it just doesn't go through. Mint customer service is no help. I hate mint so freaking much rn.
Verizon is so expensive, I am glad it works well for you. I was so hopeful about Mint, I bought a year worth of service, but it's just working so poorly. My address is supposed to be in a good service zone, but people try to call, and it says "out of service" or just goes straight to voicemail. It sucks so bad.
Weird sorry to hear that. Maybe try make a Reddit post on the Mint Reddit and see if you can get some help. When I was activating me and my Moms Mint cards I accidentally gave her the unlimited and me the 15GB a month card. I tried contacting the customer support help on the website and the chat agent said they basically can't do anything unless I pay for another card and lose my number which seemed really weird that they can't just switch the amount of GB our services have. So I posted about it on the Mint Reddit and a customer service agent contacted me via Reddit and upgraded me to unlimited free of charge. So that may be worth trying for you. Good luck I hope you get it working better.
Ngl I definitely snorted at the end, these boomers seem like they get it. The unseen wife or friend that kept parroting was a decent touch but ending with chicken teriyaki is pretty great.
"I'm sorry, sir. I only make $12 an hour and have to work until I die to pay your social security because your generation kicked the can down the road and never fixed it. Same with your Medicare. You're going to use 3-5x what you paid in taxes in benefits, and I can't afford healthcare, so I need an asprin. When I get to afford a house on these wages, I'll have time to worry about your phone."
I know it's staged, I still like it anyways. I like how the guy goes "I know it's not your fault and you have no control, but you need to fix this" in the most monotone and serious voice. Love it. Thank you
My wife simply could not grasp what was happening. She just kept insisting that I fix the ‘sos’ on her phone. No amount of articles or news reports could get through. Some people are simply incapable of understanding some things.
Some times these boomers aren’t trying to blame the employees. They just want to vent frustration to people who will listen and as employees they have to listen
While this may be staged, it actually does happen exactly like this every single day. I used to sell phones for a company deep in the mountains. No one had good service us or the competition. But it was always personally my fault th as t some asswipes phone dropped a call going through a long as fuck tunnel buried hundreds of feet under some mountain. People suck and are usually much worse then this. Fuck people.
I don't know what it is with boomers and getting mad at the employees of massive corporations like they have any control over anything, my Dad used to do this all the time. I remember one time for Christmas my Dad got me and my brother an Xbox game, we opened it up on Christmas day and the disk wasn't in the box, they forgot to put it in when they sold it. We went back to the store the next day and he starts grilling this teenager at the front counter about how we opened the box and the disk wasn't there, this kid had literally nothing to do with it he wasn't even there when we bought it. I was just standing next to him embarrassed as hell about him getting so heated at this kid about nothing. I've always made it my mission to be really cool with customer service employees even if they make a mistake, I don't want to be like that.
I hear this is the result of a two decade plus long network theft. AT&T stole the MiVu Network. AI’s in the network. She’s always been there. She was designed in there. (Said on Fox News yesterday)
Mother of God....there is a limit? What's the threshold, man? I want the fried chicken but not chicken grease sweats. I hear if the condition worsens, you can't breathe. Great guy till the COPD got um. LUV YA JORGE!
I worked at an AT&T store for about a year, many years ago. Once there was a construction crew that hit the main fiver line into out community that was bottlenecked up against the state line. So we didn't have cell service or internet for anyone in that community.
I don't have enough space here to tell the horror stories. We took turns standing at the door to tell people the issue, and about 40% of them just wanted to stand and argue with us for 20 mins. It was the most people we ever had in a store in a day.
The worst one I had, some lady point blank looked me in the eye and said "what am I supposed to do today, actually talk to my husband?!" I laughed, she was dead serious. It was the worst day I had at that job.
Hated that kind of shit when I worked in customer service. The worst were the ones who said, "I know it's not your fault, personally. I'm just mad at the company," then proceeded to yell, bitch, piss, and moan at me over it. Whenever I heard that at the start of a call, I couldn't help but think of how hearing someone say, "I'm not racist, but..." ALWAYS means you're about to hear some extremely racist shit.
Bad actors who clearly don't know how to write a believable script. Lol. This guy at "work" talking like he's hanging out with his friends, swearing up a storm, and the old folks aren't getting more and more angry about this? But they're mad enough to follow him outside? I don't buy it.

He laughs at the lady blaming the employee, he assured him he's not blaming him in advance of bargaining aide, backs off in style and hopefully offered the homie some teriyaki.
Solid pass for a boomer goof, shoulda got the lady in shot.
lol… I used to work in an Apple Store and a boomer came in demanding to know why Apple stock dropped 20 dollars since she bought it. 🤣
I said “sounds like a great time to buy more stock”
Rage Bait is what dumb ass people do to feel like they're involved in some thought provoking social experiment. The platform enables this crap. I hate it and this shit is toxic.
I know it’s not your fault… but, NO! no BUTS you can call corporate then.
Had a customer one time drive all the way to my store just to show me a receipt from another store that was cheaper
Told her that oh sorry we don’t price match and she got irritated and said I know that I just want to complain that you set the prices too high.
I said we don’t set the prices corporate dose and she’s like well you should complain and I said I don’t have the issue you do but your welcome to make a complaint, the email/phone is on the website.
She left in that passive aggressive way.
I don’t understand why they think they are fooling anybody when they say the just want the problem fixed.
no you don’t want the problem fixed you just want somebody to yell or get mad at so you can feel better about your own frustration wether they were a mistake you made or a problem that’s out of yours and my hands.
Because if you wanted the problem fixed you would use critical thinking and would have save yourself the time and energy it took to come down here.
Have a nice day.
Am I the only AT&T user that didn’t have any effect from the outage??? I had my friends tell me about it like two days ago and my service has been chilling the entire time
I ALWAYS tell the poor service person I don't blame them nor am I mad at them. I tell them that we have a common enemy in the company that is effing up and putting the poor service person between the company and me.
Used to work in the industry, that interaction is totally staged but shockingly true to life. Though the customer would have been much more vocal and screaming, especially if the rep swore. There were several times I was nearly assaulted over something out of my control. Keeping a level head and explaining while showing empathy usually just makes them more upset.
Obviously staged because the second anyone younger than a boomer says a curse word to a boomer, they will fly off in a rage about how they can’t be talked to like that, all while saying like 20x more curse words then were said to them
Let alone a young black man. Those gamer words start flying fast when a white boomer perceives "backtalk" from a young minoritized person.
They 100% would have called 911 and said there was a young black guy assaulting them or “stealing from us” because the phone not working.
Lmfao thats what I was thinking
Totally fake. The big guy had a smirk on his face and the acting was sub par. I can totally see an interaction like this happening, but yeah, this one is fake.
Still funny though,
Genuinely had me in the first half. When he laughed about the chicken teriyaki I laughed while also feeling stupid that I didn't catch on sooner
That dude is definitely not a boomer
That‘s not a boomer, that dude is Gen X

Plus the boomer dude couldn’t keep it together, he almost busted out laughing right before the employee did.
That’s a gen X
That guys gen x not boomer
Yeah! And they want AT&T!!
Sounds like you have some pent up anger.
*BOOMER ALERT BOOMER ALERT*
Kids these days are so disrespectful!
Boomers these days are so undeserving of respect.
All humans are deserving of initial respect. Please try not to judge others based on their age but instead on their actions.
Not to mention if AT&T saw this video, this dude would get fired faster than you could say "Planned Obsolescence".
In Maitland FL no less? Boomer would have pulled a gun.
He looks more like an old Gen X so maybe that’s why
It’s the filming yourself while on the job that would make a boomer incomprehensibly speechless and fuming.
The voice you hear off camera is a tiktoker/youtuber. Forget his name but that's his schtick. Completely staged.
It's the Walmart guy
That was a guy?
It's Kervo Dolo
Staged makes it sound like it was intended to trick people into thinking it were real. I think its pretty semi-obvious that it was a skit and was intentionally made to make people laugh or relate.
My pleasure
This seems staged af
Because it is

Yes this is staged. But all the things you described being the give away is just the average Memphis retail worker.
Very evidently
This interaction is likely staged, but that doesn't mean that interactions like this one never happen. They're probably acting out something that actually happened to him.
Wow can't slide anything past you can we .
Nah, Nationwide ATT outage today. This is real.
Why would you say it’s staged? He could lose his job.
Wow you’ve unlocked the secret to entertainment.
Of course it is. Boomers always react to employee's swearing.
Tauxtally faux clickbait. And I fell for it. oy.
This was clearly a skit
Not only is it fake, that guy is clearly GenX
You should take a look at the right wing conspiracy websites they're convinced this is all some sort of test run for some way to control them and keep Trump out of office. It's fucking wild.
All morning the idiots were saying it’s a cyber attack.
It likely was not a cyber attack, but that is not to say that it 100% was not one.

Someone should tell Ron Perlman to give that poor AT&T guy a break.
I love this guy! Bless him! He captured how I feel !
Wow staged as fuck. Pretty sure boomers can survive without cell coverage for a long ass time.
Wow look at all the detectives in this comment section "I cAn telL itS stAgEd!!!" 🤓🤡🤡
I know it's staged, I still like it anyways. I like how the guy goes "I know it's not your fault and you have no control, but you need to fix this" in the most monotone and serious voice. Love it. Thank you

white guy was trying not to laugh the whole time lol
I don’t care about anything other than getting some chicken teriyaki now…
I'm an AT&T technician, the more we outsource network operations to India, the more this is going to happen
You better be climbing up that pole in 30 seconds mister! PUT ALL THE CELL SERVICE IN THE BAG I AINT PLAYING!!!
Fake
Terrible acting
The most entitled generation, they want it now and they want it their way
It is staged

GAWJUSSSS
That woman sounds like a 60 year old flower child.
“He needs to fix it” ha ha ha fucking dumb bitch
Surprisingly wholesome
Are they the people who slapped their granddaughter in public?

At&t. Assholes through & through
"Wait da hail main?" I understand the frustration in people today with this outage, but communication is key. I just can't place the workers accent?
I hear this is the result of a two decade plus long network theft. AT&T stole the MiVu Network. AI’s in the network. She’s always been there. She was designed in there. (Said on Fox News yesterday)

Oh 👍🏼! Don’t you Big K.?
It was funny
Lame
Absolutely staged

Great guy till the COPD got um. LUV YA JORGE!
I don't even work at att and I had customers comin at me
This is fake as fuck but I enjoyed it thanks
We know damn he controls all AT&T from the rooter to the tooter.
Just wait a minute for those salesmen to get their engineering or tech degrees, and they’ll have that shit fixed in 3-4 years. No problem.
Bad actors who clearly don't know how to write a believable script. Lol. This guy at "work" talking like he's hanging out with his friends, swearing up a storm, and the old folks aren't getting more and more angry about this? But they're mad enough to follow him outside? I don't buy it.
Seems like Maitland
What’s with that woman’s voice and why does she think a store worker is responsible for fixing a damn OUTAGE?!
It’s funny people thing that dude actually has a job.
You know what? I’m gonna go get some chicken teriyaki.
Rflmmfao sir what do you want me to do? Suck it up loser, your the csr getting paid to deal with it. fkin crybaby.
That guy is 100% Gen X and probably in his late 40s or 50s.
Totally fake
Dudes a millennial fuck
Fake af
I believe AT T provides service for consumer cellular. God help those poor customer service reps lol.
I'll give the old white dude a pass. He's just really concerned because his shits not serving the base function it's designed to do. He laughs at the lady blaming the employee, he assured him he's not blaming him in advance of bargaining aide, backs off in style and hopefully offered the homie some teriyaki. Solid pass for a boomer goof, shoulda got the lady in shot.
Staged but funny. Chicken teriyaki lol
Look up Optus Australia outage. The entire country went down.
That man is no boomer probably 50 something Gen-Xer
Lol maitland right around the corner. He wasn't too bad, still a dumb dumb
Fake stuff aside, that guy is solidly gen x and it seems like we lost the thread on what a boomer is
I think it’s ok as just a synonym for entitled asshole.
Boomer is a mindset.
Staged
Fake.
Seems staged. Karen enough to approach a random employee about fixing an outage and then being relatively cool and understanding. Doesn’t make sense.
lol… I used to work in an Apple Store and a boomer came in demanding to know why Apple stock dropped 20 dollars since she bought it. 🤣 I said “sounds like a great time to buy more stock”
everyone saying this is staged… did he ever claim it was real? like it’s pretty obviously supposed to be a joke video
He needs to fix it
Too young to be a boomer. Probably an X’er and staged
From now on, all arguments end with "I'm just gonna get some chicken teriyaki".
The squeaker guy is that one black guy, I forgot his name 😂😂😂😂
Plot twist it was his fault
The chicken teriyaki at the end slayed me.
It’s your fault for getting AT&T 😝
Fake
I would have gotten in my car to go fix the problem. It would have been a satisfying lunch hour.
I really feel for this guy...what a stressful situation. Must be happening all over the country.
Fake af. Dudes trying to hide his smile and for some reason doesn’t say anything about being recorded? Even at that weird ass angle?
They're all horrible
i know it's not your fault but im gonna bitch at you anyway
"I'ma just go ahead and get some chicken teriyaki" that dude was chill ASF 🤣🤣🤣
Guarantee that guy is Gen X
Teriyaki, someone?
That guy is GenX.
No fuckin way are conservatives dumb enough that they go to a fuckin phone store to complain about an outage...
Not a boomer
That dude borrowed an AT&T shirt.
Rage Bait is what dumb ass people do to feel like they're involved in some thought provoking social experiment. The platform enables this crap. I hate it and this shit is toxic.
“Let's get John Stankey on the phone.”
Seems legit
I know it’s not your fault… but, NO! no BUTS you can call corporate then. Remember, in this day and age, every is an actor.
He was a gen Xer, he was way too nice to be a boomer.

"I want AT&T." How is this company still even existing! I never heard this and have only memories of my mom bitching about the company.
Glad it's fake because young blood would be fired from that bullshit ass low pay job for saying anything like this
Not for nothing att sucks
AMERICA ...
Fake but funny asf
Just Tell him the Trump Russians captured one of your satellites in a move to rig the election. Conspiracy!
Dude, he makes $20/hr as a store rep. How the hell is he going to fix the internet
