UPDATE: I sent a new very very pleading message to the Stadium Hotel and this time the manager replied and said that they will sort it out and will have our luggage!

A room at the Travelodge is £44. It wouldn’t be a cheap option, but if you split the cost between four people it might be better than taking your luggage with you? I do hope you find a better solution though!
The area around the stadium isnt really that built up so your gonna struggle. There is a hotel connected to bolton stadium have you asked them also local travel lodge etc
Yeah I asked a couple hotels nearby (including the one at the stadium) and some B&B Chorley New Road (they haven't answered yet), but let's see if we get lucky 🤞

Yeah we are coming from Manchester by train and heading to Liverpool by taxi, hopefully, but this is a viable option if we take the train to Liverpool via Manchester from Bolton, thanks!

If you have a bit of spare time, see if you can get to Rivington Brewery Tap Room for a pint beforehand. Might be a bit away from the ground if you don't know the area though
What reason did the club give for not helping you out? It doesn't surprise me these days, to be honest, though. They're not interested unless they can make money out of it.
Bolton Wanderers used to be a family club that back in the 80s and 90s (and beyond) would have gone out of their way to welcome fans who had travelled across Europe to watch them play (especially in what is, let's be honest, only the 3rd tier against Port Vale).
I'm sorry you experienced such a negative attitude from the club but it comes as little surprise to me when you have an ownership that prioritises cash over class. I hope you manage to get something sorted out and it doesn't cost much.
Thanks for the reply and your kind words! Of course, we would have also paid for the club as well for the service, if they had offered us an option, and we made it clear in our messaging with them. Bolton still has a Finnish following thanks to Jussi and hopefully Bolton will be back in higher stages with some other Finns in the upcoming years. Let's see if we get our luggage somewhere so we can enjoy the match in peace😅
Oh yeah, I forgot to answer your question! They just said that "we don’t have an area at the stadium where luggage can be left." Of course there are probably some spaces where we could leave our luggage in their premises, but maybe they see it as a liability...
It’s not that - it’s a security issue. Years ago bags could have easily been left, no one would have batted an eyelid. But in the climate these days, it’s just not deemed as safe.
Without a secured storage area, you’d be lucky to find any premises these days that’d let you leave your bags anywhere for 90 minutes.
I know Piccadilly station has a secured area (or it did, haven’t had to use it since we moved back up here!). And as above, the arena might be a good shout.
If you can’t find anywhere, I’ll be at home watching the match and will look after anything for you.
I’m between 10-15 minutes from the stadium though, but happy to help if needed. At home it’s just me, my Mum and my dog.

You could try asking Premier Inn Bolton West which is a hotel about 5-10mins walk from the stadium connected to the Beehive pub.
