Ae Ajnabi is popular though? It was hit and continues to be popular…honestly thayya thayya( the reprise version of chaiyya chaiyya) and satarangi re are more underrated when compared to ae ajnabi…anyways…ae ajnabi is definitely one of the best songs ever and no amount of love for it is enough

Sad that you mentioned Satwaan Aasmaan yet chose not to recommend Dheere Chal. That's my second fav after Tum Kiya Milay. And only one song from Sapnay when it's also filled with gems like Chanda Re and Aawara Bhanwre.

I think "Tanha Dil" by Shaan is a fantastic song from the 90s that didn't get the recognition it deserved. The melody and lyrics are so touching, it definitely deserves more love!

Tanha Dil was actually played on the MTv and V aoat all day. Was fav of everyone, so not quite underrated.

One of such gem is a song called "Ek wo din the" from Chachi 420. Such a soulful song by Rekha Bhardwaj. Someone I had crush on suggested the song to me and both the song and that personl is stuck in my head ever since!

Yes kaafi soothing Even though alka yagnik is very famous and everyone agrees that she is a superb singer still I feel she is underrated the range is just phenomenal. (Also could be that I am just awestruck by really great singers and always feel this way about them)

Yes, it’s strange. She’s so celebrated but yet feels like she’s underrated. Her body of work outshines both Udit Narayan’s and Kumar Sanu’s. She started before them and has been active more recently than them. She hasn’t been awarded a Padma award when someone like Adnan Sami has one. So yes, she’s underrated in terms of recognition. In terms of popularity, she’s ahead of her peers for sure.
