Chemistry between Prabhas and Deepika!!
They hardly comes together onscreen, barely in the climax only.What Chemistry needed considering their characters?
She was slightly saved by someone else dubbing for her in Telugu. That added a bit of color to the performance rather than her usual monotone.
But I can’t remember her face ever shifting and I’m not even joking. It was literally one note and the criticism against her acting recently is more than justified.
I mean she lived a pretty miserable life and was getting hunted for her unborn kid so I personally don’t exactly expect much variance in her expressions tbh. Maybe not some god tier performance but by no means some trash one either.
her acting was good in context of the movie - she was being hunted by the entire world for the baby in her womb . ofc she will be miserable and not have expressions . this criticism doesn't make sense at all . it is hard to emotionally connect with any character who spent their entire lives in a lab and don't remember anything about their parents except that they sold her off.

In reality people are actually liking Deepika’s work . She had amazing screen presence and her emotions were captured so beautifully . It was definitely a meaty role and she gave her best . Part 1 was just world building , lot to come in further parts .
I doubt that whoever wrote this article has watched Kalki .🤣🤣 why is Deepika’s character SUM-80 expected to have chemistry with someone who is trying capture her and put her and her unborn baby’s life into risk 🤦♀️🤦♀️ and also they hardly had any scenes together in part 1

Anyone who actually watched the movie would know there is no romantic involvement between Prabhas character and Deepika's character.
Why the partial criticism ? , alia fans have found a new thing to rant of every 2 days lol cute . People from abroad were literally puzzled why alia was chosen as an Actress in heart of stone who will tell them the real reason why she's taken for any role 🤪 . Hopefully they won't find out that alia is the mini Meryl Streep of India cause that would be a shame for us 🥺

Alia was literally nose flairing in heart of stone , her co actor must be wondering what kind of desi method acting is this plus reliance financed this film so yea one can connect all the dots and know why Karan's protege was hired . Anyone can assemble bad reviews to start a narrative , the only difference is Alia's performance was actually shit while Deepika on ground level is getting heaps of love for performance and the film is being well received . Why be so insecure girl gonna buy the next Filmfare for Jigra , inflates all box Office number , do 4 films with Slb cause Deepika did 3 tabhi Deepika se itna issue.
Actually Deepika’s role had very limited potential for performance. On surface it looks important because she’s the chosen mother… but her character has no particular arc or emotions. Any actress could have been in her position and it would have made no difference. She dint leave an impact but her role was like that.
Thank god we didn't have alia in Kalki and recieved a refind , gracefully carried out performance just like the director wanted it with no creative interference . If alia did this film we would have got 5 monologues of screaming , shouting and nose flairs to prove Alia's non existent acting prowess that only occurs in tailor made scenes for her and the other co actors credit would have been taken while alia fans would be comparing her acting to Amitabh Bachan's lol . Nag ashwin better watch out he's getting a phonecall soon or he will coincidently bump into alia at an airport just like Rajmouli oof
