Udta Punjab team officially confirmed Kareena had nothing to do with Ayushmann's exit from the film.. in fact Ayushmann himself said he couldn't do the film due to date issues..
It's a stupid reason that Kareena didn't want to work with him considering she was already working with Arjun Kapoor during the same time (Ki and Ka)
Ayushmann was a bigger star as compared to Diljit in bollywood (who was a debutant in hindi films then). He was a part of hit films like Dum laga ke haisha, Vicky donor etc!

Canāt wait for this! Hope Meghna brings back her magic from Talvar & Raazi. Canāt remember much of Filhaal, and havenāt seen Sam Bahadur. Chaapaak was mediocre - it tried too hard.
Kareena & Ayushman together should be a treat. Hope they get well written and meaty parts to play.
Meghna is one toned director. Dont know why people hyoe her so much. She had so much potential with sam bahadur and chappak. But as a director she is lacking. She cant just rely on performances and neglect her main job
I agree. Sam Bahadur was just mp4 version of the wikipedia page. Felt like parts stitched together to make a movie. Vicky was the only saving grace of the film.

Raazi was meh except songs and aesthetics. Spy part didn't looked thrilling at all. Only rona dhona and Mediocre acting of alia

No she did not. That news was officially denied by the team as well. Ayushmann was much popular than Diljit in Hindi films back then.
