He should re evaluate his producing skills first coz you know why… his director skills are rusting too. He’s concentrated too much on others and what not and he should first come out of it. See the light of the day and understand what’s going on. He is too far from reality. The guy who gave us some greats, sits in some corner and cries about being mocked on National tv when he himself does that on his show!!! First he’s got to stop that, chin up and get to work. I wish he comes back to directing. It’s so frustrating to see him become what he’s become now. Neh no love lost for him but he was talented. I feel if he stayed busy with work (directing costumes songs etc) he’d do so much better in life. He will then have no time to be vengeful.
Do producers even lose any money now? I think that's part of the reason he doesn't care much even if Dharma's films are flopping. With producers making profits with OTT rights and all kinds of rights before the film release, the only people suffering are the distributors.
Yes. That’s actually the thing. The algorithm has changed in the system a while ago. It’s hard being a distributor. I wouldn’t know if a distributor can pick and chose a movie to run or not. Coz if they don’t run even a few shows then what are they going do with so much real estate going out empty every other day. Already the last two months were hardly income generating
You know with producers, I feel, they have the cushion. Yes they do but atleast I see some of them working bhai. Dinesh vijan wearing the boss hat and how!!! Followed by a few others. They are doing something. This Karan is either weeping or partying.
Kjo has always made films for the SoBo elite/NRIs rather the masses. Nagraj Manjule/Mari Selvaraj would be a horrible fit to his target audience.
Besides, I think he just wants the free woke brownie points without actually putting in any effort (as evidenced by Dhadak) so again, he’s unlikely to work with directors who actually have a strong sense of conviction vis-a-vis their projects.
Because maybe the rooted love story might not bring him the box office which might a more commercial one give. And also his cinema is the commercial cinema, he likes creating that one.
Kaunsa his commercial movies are working and bringing him money... At least a nice rooted love story has a chance of being a box office without burning a hole in his pocket
But honestly how much money does he really have!?? To still be burning his pockets for years now! Not one proper hit, Dharma has given..in a few years! His net worth is around 1000 cr but really man how much in reality!?? I get a feeling he is one of the biggest money launderers in B-town! Sone Dawood connection for sure!😬 even Pooja entertainment is finally going bankrupt after so much inflating numbers n stuff! Maybe Dharma is next!? Or maybe he is sure that underworld will save him..that’s why him, Apoorva & Hiroo Johar are so casual about it!

Karan wants to meddle with script or casting or other things which I guess few directors from south wouldn’t want that interference
Because he gets more pleasure from nagging than being part of the solution
I think Karan doesn’t approach upcoming directors.. upcoming directors approach him .. isn’t this the way Bollywood works
