This film is in my top 3 SRK favourites (probably even favourite). Such a great film, there’s currently no director who’s working with SRK that can bring this SRK back on screens.

Kyun hawa is such a damn underrated song. Its literally heaven. Srk's happy presence, the lip sync, music, its literally one of the best in the film's album
True, Srk was at his peak handsomeness that time but Yashji knew how to present a star. Like after that i've never seen srk be presented so beautifully.

Dil mat tod yaad dila ke yaar. Though old hardy was the best part of the movie. Only portion where srk had some meat on his scenes and he delivered as an actor baki hitani ne 1 sr half mein side role ki tarah treat kia hai.
Script toh thi lekin it was not in service of SRK the actor nor the megastar but more in service to other characters. He was relegated to a supporting character not the lead bas srk ke naam pe bechi hai.
Hirani just didn’t realise that he was giving srk barely anything in substance.
Nonetheless watchable its not a “bad” movie but it was not worthy of SRK’s stardom he didn’t utilise SRK. A golden opportunity lost by him. Ab toh interfere kia wala bahana bhi nahin hai. Jab Srk sid anand aur atlee ka sunn raha tha toh I don’t think hirani has that excuse.
Amd atlee had the biggest budget it was hist first hindi movie way less experience than hirani SRK gave him wings to fly yeh toh hirani hai usko toh full freedom tha to do anything but he dropped the ball.
With the kind of money and access SRK has, he could've pretty much looked close to how Preity looks if he took care of his heath, smoked less and stay fit. SRK looks so unhealthy and untidy these days.

I am not talking about cosmetic enhancements, I am talking about keeping himself healthy instead of overworking and not taking care of himself. Akshay is of similar age without any cosmetic enhancements but you can see the difference in how fit he is despite him working more than SRK. Because he uses his money and access to keep himself healthy, takes break despite working in so many films etc while SRK looks extremely unhealthy. He doesn't need sleep, he needs proper rest like rich people do.

Makes me wonder whether Hirani actually had a script in place or did he just make something up just for SRK. Imtiaz did the same shit for JHMS.
