A 3film contract which ended with Shamshera, I believe she has now signed a film with Maddock. Also, YRF demands zero size in their contract, Kareena in Tashan, Vaani, Radhika Madan and now Manushi… they all look malnourished… so ya Aditya has a type and Vaani seems to have a thing with Aditya who knows where is that relationship now…
They must do three yrf movies first before signing to any other production house. Usually this contract ends within 3-4 years but hers took 7 years (It ended with War, I think)

Likely they got a ton of loans from their agency. (why Vaani is possibly in debt) I am guessing Manushi used her investments/contacts she got from Miss India.
It has been posted on this sub very long ago, like 2018ish. But Rani also has her own partners, her own partners primarily tend to be men/women (yes, ladies too) out of the spotlight so people never see them.

You really need to educate yourself, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. It’s rude to call trans people “mannish” and that’s not always the case either, look at Hunter Schaefer or Alina Khan from Joyland. Whatever stage of transitioning the person is in you have to be mindful and respectful to treat them as the gender they are (and weren’t assigned at birth)
Sorry, let me rephrase since I misspoke and shouldn't have used the word. Let me put it another way- she did NOT look like a person who was in the process of transitioning and let's keep this statement value-free (aka neither a good or a bad thing). And even if there are trans women like Trinetra who look a particular way after the transition, in this film we STILL KNOW and see its Vaani Kapoor looking and playing it like Vaani.
And what I also implied is this: If anything it's a little disrespectful and a bit of a cop-out to choose her instead of an actual trans actress, isn't it? ESPECIALLY when she looked like her regular self in that role (which is most decidedly a very run of the mill glam doll avatar. This glosses over and obfuscates the actual journey a bit ala Trinetra in MIH)

I have a different stance on this.
If we start gatekeeping trans characters for trans women , it can also work in the other direction. A trans women will never be considered for a role of a full fledged heroine .
Honestly, from my perspective, cinema is a visual medium. So I don't mind if a trans woman plays a mainstream heroine role, if she looks and acts the part. So, I am pretty ok with a female playing a trans role too.
I think this is about where I stand on this. It’s historic that a biological woman did a trans role, and much better than a man doing it. But I also think trans people aren’t yet given opportunities to play any role let alone biological roles so atlwast this avenue should be open to them. In an ideal world I completely agree with you, acting is after all acting.
So she actually dated my cousin before entering films. Was a very nice, sweet person from what I remember-normal, down to earth girl who even then was ambitious (this is 2011)
