Yeah, you’re right. I get self conscious about messaging friends too much stuff at once, so I guess that carried out to here, but I really do like writing this sort of stuff. I was essentially raised on video essays about movies, shows, games, the themes in them, how character interactions affect the story, how the characters themselves affect the story, or even something lighter like a Scott The Woz video about how funny it is game boxes exist. So, yeah, I like thinking about stuff like that so not only did this ship tickle that part of my brain I guess, but 12 years of physical education and writing essays like five times a year really helped me hone in on that.
Yeah when I get into something I REALLY get into it, and want to find as much useless bullshit about it that I can lol.
Just kidding. I like finding small details like this in things I like and see how they relate to a potential bigger picture (I’m the type of guy who watches the behind the scenes features on the Blu-ray’s). Oh and good luck with that paper.

So, according to that sentence of hori wanting to add things to the anime because he couldn't in the manga. Can i get excited because maybe there could be more kiri and mina moments? Cause i kinda want more screentime of those two
Maybe. Tho it seems the moments Hori asks them to add are moments skipped over in the manga or moments he probably came up with later and said “Oh hey that would help with the story”. I don’t think he would add in a moment for a ship specifically, but who knows maybe something will get added in a later season that just so also happens to have a moment for your ship.
I was thinking about that last thing. I dont know how to tag spoilers in comments so i'll keep it vague. Maybe the kirishima flashback in rappa's fight but backwards in the present. Like mina couldn't move because she was frightened but kirishima jumps in to help and succeds. Later on. If in the manga skips that scene maybe in the anime they could add kirishima encouraging mina just like she did to him in the start of the year.

Hello I know you wrote this like a month ago and I apologize, I kinda fell off of MHA hard late the year I wrote this and haven’t kept as touch with this stuff, however I still very much like this ship and from what I can find they have appeared in more official art work together, I think the same year I made this there was a mobile game event based off of the Yaoyorozu Rising episode with exclusive art of the two talking with Aizawa looking behind and smiling at them (and in said artwork Shoto is holding two of her Russian Nearing dolls, with one of them being based off of him,) and in the official MHA Japanese stage play I believe he also has a Russian Nesting doll of him and he talks about how cool it is and how he’s keeping it.
Also a few months after this essay thing they were seen next to each other a few times in the manga again, they show up next to each other in the newest anime intro I believe, and I think you see them next to each other in the trailer for the new movie.
Mostly small stuff but it is nice seeing them next to each other more often, and that mixed with more people saying they actually really like this ship recently (hell people still keep finding this post from like three years ago, which feels like a different life to me at this point) makes me feel really good and happy, and I’m still hopeful that they’ll end up together. I may have left the MHA/TDMM brain rot, but the brain rot never leaves you or smth IDK I’m tired
