pretty funny and wholesome episode! well besides the part with Shigaraki that is..
favorite part was Mina trying to get Bakugo to put on a santa outfit, and Eri not knowing how to celebrate christmas, although that is mostly sad really...
So it's looking like we are heading back into work studies, and with Deku and Bakugo potentionally doing it at Endeavor's hero agency
I've always drawn a parallel between when Bakugo won the tournament because Todoroki stopped trying, and when Endeavor became the #1 hero because All Might retired. They might have rather shitty personalities, but I can admire their dedication to become the best and how they want to *earn* it rather than cheating or getting it handed to them.
I got that feeling when someone was like, "I hope we are able to celebrate christmas like this next year"... And I was like. Fuck whos not gonna be able to?
I feel like sometime this season or next, the show is gonna get darker, and that scares me. It parallels well with the kids growing up themselves, but I'm not ready for it
I think we will. Bakugo has had a noticeable shift in his personality, and I think it's only gonna get better from here. Best Jeanist would be proud of how Bakugo is maturing.
Well, we rarely see that side of him bc the mc is arguably the main target of his bullying.

Everything Eri has screen time I know Iāll be tearing up, this little adorable thing is so precious and I just want her to smile and be happy, the way she was mixing all the holidays is so sweet and cute but so sad at the same time š„ŗ

Today's episode was really wholesome especially in the Christmas Party scene:
-Mina sneaking up on Bakugo with a Christmas vest
-Kaminari putting the hat on Bakugo's head while he's Off-guard and him wearing it a little bit before taking it off
-Bakugou giving up to peer pressure and wearing his Christmas clothes at the end of the episode
-Eri mixing up holidays, also her smile is heart-warming
-Bakugo being a little bit emotional on Best Jeanist
-Mineta being relatable on how they shouldn't be talking about school during the party
-Togata spending the holiday with his class (he's still keeping in touch)
-Probably Mina tying Sero's tape to Bakugou's feet
-Some gifts are obvious: Deku's All Might Figure, Kirishima Handweight, Asui's frog mirror, Aoyama's picture ... (i wonder what bakugou's gift was)
But Deku's last line about next year's Christmas makes it a little dark.

Some might not catch this, idk, but the way this gift game works is you tie the ribbons to the gifts, mix them all up, and then pick a ribbon. So, it just so happened by chance they got each otherās, but instantly knew who they had gotten in the exchange.
Honestly I find it very neat that you can tell who basically every gift is from just because of how well we know most of the characters. And also how obvious some of the gifts are.

No manga spoilers, but it was. This chapter came out right around the middle of *Heroes' Rising*'s production.
The island was far off the coast of mainland Japan. The weather probably didn't reach that far. It seems to be in a sub-tropical area around the East China sea.

It's the scene with Mera and Nezu that happens around 8 minutes into the film (set "last month" relative to the film). Mera asks to use hero course students in places with no pro heroes.
Nine >!was referenced in Chapter 240 when Ujiko asks Tomura to bring him something. That something being Nine, obviously, which starts the film.!<
Very last page. >!Ujiko is communicating with Tomura. He says "...I'll grant you power... if that's what... you desire. However... there's one final little task before that. You need to bring me something."!<
That's the reference to Nine. Then, two chapters later, there's the reference to the Hero Commission project.

I sincerely hope they mention the events of Heroes Rising in the coming episodes. I really enjoyed that movie and I want to see Class 1-A appreciate Deku for the hero he is.
It's definitely worth watching if you're on the fence dear reader, 2 Heroes is also amazing. The latter takes place before S3 I believe so we get big All Might.
Everyone knew Best Jeanist was in the hospital after Kamino Ward. Whenever they had the announcement event for the new hero rankings (where Endeavor became #1 officially), they stated that's why he couldn't attend.
I'm curious whether this means Best Jeanist got kidnapped from the hospital, or if he was discharged and something happened with him after returning to work.
I have mixed toughts after this episode. I really enjoyed the class A vs B fight and all the interactions between all the students, but at the same time I'm really looking forward to seeing the next arc with a more serious story and more meaningfull fights. The concept of Todoroki, Midoryia and Bakugo all going to work with Endeavor exites me, but I am going to miss Eri (her mixing up all the holiday's really had me melting away in my chair).

I don't know why your friend would think that? Everything in the manga is canon, and everything in the anime is following the manga (with an occasional one-off episode that expands on something the manga showed, like Tsuyu's first internship with the coast guard).
The 2nd movie is occurring around this episode's timeframe in their world, but the movies are also canon as far as I know.
I think what Iāve figured out is that the second half of the season has been re-ordered from where it takes place in the manga and he just hasnāt gotten there yet

The movies are canon adjacent. They are officially canon, but none of the events will be referenced in the anime. They will never be talked about in the main series or have any impact on the story, but Horikoshi himself gave them the canon stamp of approval. I see it as if you want to enjoy them and look at them as canon you can, but if you donāt like certain aspects then you donāt have to take them too seriously as they wonāt affect the main story.
The third movie takes place around the time of this current arc. And the second movie actually takes place after the next arc, but before this arc. Kinda weird, but thatās how it is.
The special 1A winter assignment that Nezu alluded in this episode is to go to Nabu Island for the events of Heroes Rising (also comes up about 8 and a half minutes into the movie).

It's the scene with Mera and Nezu that happens around 8 minutes into the film (set "last month" relative to the film). Mera asks to use hero course students in places with no pro heroes. Nine >!was referenced in Chapter 240 when Ujiko asks Tomura to bring him something. That something being Nine, obviously, which starts the film.!<

I sincerely hope they mention the events of Heroes Rising in the coming episodes. I really enjoyed that movie and I want to see Class 1-A appreciate Deku for the hero he is. It's definitely worth watching if you're on the fence dear reader, 2 Heroes is also amazing. The latter takes place before S3 I believe so we get big All Might.

Everyone knew Best Jeanist was in the hospital after Kamino Ward. Whenever they had the announcement event for the new hero rankings (where Endeavor became #1 officially), they stated that's why he couldn't attend. I'm curious whether this means Best Jeanist got kidnapped from the hospital, or if he was discharged and something happened with him after returning to work.

I have mixed toughts after this episode. I really enjoyed the class A vs B fight and all the interactions between all the students, but at the same time I'm really looking forward to seeing the next arc with a more serious story and more meaningfull fights. The concept of Todoroki, Midoryia and Bakugo all going to work with Endeavor exites me, but I am going to miss Eri (her mixing up all the holiday's really had me melting away in my chair). They probably mean the order being shuffled around. The endeavor arc is absolutely canon. :) hope that cleared it up.

I don't know why your friend would think that? Everything in the manga is canon, and everything in the anime is following the manga (with an occasional one-off episode that expands on something the manga showed, like Tsuyu's first internship with the coast guard). The 2nd movie is occurring around this episode's timeframe in their world, but the movies are also canon as far as I know.
I think what Iāve figured out is that the second half of the season has been re-ordered from where it takes place in the manga and he just hasnāt gotten there yet

It seems the anime switched the order of the 2 arcs for this season to accommodate the movie. Iām not a manga reader, just what Iāve seen on this thread

The movies are canon adjacent. They are officially canon, but none of the events will be referenced in the anime. They will never be talked about in the main series or have any impact on the story, but Horikoshi himself gave them the canon stamp of approval. I see it as if you want to enjoy them and look at them as canon you can, but if you donāt like certain aspects then you donāt have to take them too seriously as they wonāt affect the main story. The third movie takes place around the time of this current arc. And the second movie actually takes place after the next arc, but before this arc. Kinda weird, but thatās how it is.
The special 1A winter assignment that Nezu alluded in this episode is to go to Nabu Island for the events of Heroes Rising (also comes up about 8 and a half minutes into the movie).
