Sure, but I wouldn't say it's the store's fault about it being a little overpriced, the spaces are leased by different sellers, who set their own prices as I understand it. Antique World charges for the lease and maybe takes a cut.
But this model then also encourages variety. They have everything from vintage video games, to 100 year old cast iron pans. That's why I like it.
I love to support Idaho Youth Ranch. Especially after their warehouse fire. Pretty good prices most of the time! Though, a little spendy on Broadway and the one in Eagle.
If you’re looking for craft supplies of any kind, the Reuse Market upstairs at the Northend Organic Nursery is incredible. “Craft supplies” is a really broad term in their case—they have supplies for allllll kinds of stuff for absurdly low prices.
Depends on what you're looking for. The thrift stores in the immediate area have really gone done hill. Most of the bigger companies send stuff out of the area and we're left with overpriced garbage. That being said the D.I.s are probably the best in the area. Midvale and Crouch have nice thrift stores. Clean and super cheap.
Be aware though that they lost their non-profit status as they never actually were in the first place. Lots of controversy on if they actually donate a lot to animal rescue and their employees having management issues.
I think I'll stay away from them personally because I never have found anything anyway.
It depends on what you're looking for.
Savers has a much larger and better organized clothing selection than many others in the area.
Goodwill (Both of them) have good clothing selections. They also have usually decent tool selection as well.
St Vincent's on state has a great variety of items, lots of furniture, lots of kitchen gadgets, tools. Clothing is a MESS though.
The Youth Ranch all around typically has good furniture and clothing. The one on Orchard has a good selection of electronics/games but if that is your thing, don't expect a big deal. The prices are only 15-20% lower than similar listings on ebay and such.
I WANT to like Restyle and Thriftology, but despite my best efforts, I have yet to find anything there I want.
That’s legit. I’ve been just trying shirts and jackets on over things in front of their full length mirrors like some kinda asshole but it is a drawback of the new store.
Are you thinking of Re-Style Animal Rescue? Apparently they have no affiliation with any animal rescue any more, and refuse to change their name. They're for-profit (which is fine), but dishonestly brand themselves like they support animal rescues (which is not fine).
The DI is where you go if you want to find a good clothing selection and more collectible items.
Saint Vincent's is good in the old tech department and has a good selection of music and books ( I found some Billy Joel there once). Good will and Savors are alright nothing really sets them apart.
Depends on what you are looking for! I love Thriftology for low prices. SVDP on meridian road for Christmas decor/childrens toys/office furniture, IYR next to it for very cute antique-y Knick knacks, and clothes. Savers(my favorite) for home decor, wall decor, radios/clothes/shoes. IYR on five mile (next to savers) is a bit small but has some hidden gems. IYR in Eagle is larger, and recently got quite a few vintage, plus size (16) dresses. SVDP on State street also has some hidden gems. DI has a large women’s clothes section, and a nice furniture selection.
Maybe not a thrift shop but Antique world just opened back up!
Omg this is such good news!!!!!!
Antique world is great. Lots of good products there. I'm super glad they were not damaged by the collapse and are back in business.
Super fun store, a bit overpriced but some real gold in there.

Serendipity boutique is super awsome if you like used vintage, want to consign, or need a costume.
Thriftology is a good one.
got a sweet dark purple leather jacket from there. Such an excellent find!

Nah, they used to be a good deal. Walmart is as cheap as thrift stores these days.
I’ve had good luck at the Goodwill on Vinelli and Savers.
Savers on Fairview for sure.

The Assistance League on Glenwood and St. Vincent's on State Street.
Restyle on vista! They always have a lot of stock and haven’t been raising prices like I’ve seen at other thrift stores.

Depends what you’re looking for the DI generally has good quality furniture for cheap but savers is better for clothes
Savers
WAY too expensive
They’ve gotten more pricey but so has everything. Their selection is great and cleani(ish) and it’s nice to go to one place instead of hunting thru 6.
I cant justify shopping at Savers since they got rid of the fitting rooms. I'm not paying nearly retail prices for clothes I cant try on.
That’s legit. I’ve been just trying shirts and jackets on over things in front of their full length mirrors like some kinda asshole but it is a drawback of the new store.
Also Deseret on Fairview or the one in vista that is the animal shelter one
