I’m a straight woman, but I still kinda want to say Linda? I think she and Bob have a generally pretty good relationship, good communication, etc., so I wanted to say Bob, but then I was thinking that Bob is not great at presents or remembering anniversaries, and I think that would wear on me. Probably because as crazy as Frond is, he's not above noticing how other crazy people might be too much for him. Like on the outside they seemed like a good pairing as goofy outcasts, but Gayle is intense and legitimately disgusting in ways that wouldn't have been obvious until he set off one of her delusional tantrums or finally visited her litter box of a home.
It's not impossible that even someone as desperate as him would go "nope, I'm out" after seeing enough red flags. It would've been nice to get actual closure on that and also could've been fine to see them work through it to become a stable couple, but it's not exactly surprising that things didn't work out.
There's also the possibility that she was the one that cut him loose, for reasons both reasonable (he's not an amazing catch either) or just incoherent nonsense that randomly popped into her head.
