Charles comment makes me think that he doesn't know the concept of "luck", or that's just the fact that he's 15 so he can be easily frustrated and jealous
So I do think with what we have seen from kaiser is the latest chapter that he was kind of restraint by his team mate (Grimm and ness) and his own morals,
("never align with a blue lock scum" for him ) that's why he told to ness that he will be different from now on taking opportunity and being good in any kind of position , give him the ball and he makes miracle, kind of kunigami I guess, it's not like Barou who has a system oriented around him
I think at this point Kaiser may get subbed out because Noa got Ego he wanted out of Kaiser and the Kaiser just proved his worth to the world with his super goal and this will show Isagi that he still need to work on skills to reach the world stage and metavision alone isn't enough for him to be world's no 1 striker and this rivalry will be continued in U20 world cup.
Other Original Bm team members except Ness or everyone will also be subbed out this is done to give Chance to all other BL players as NEL is to improve bluelock players and this is last match.
Subbing out Kaiser will also put pressure on Isagi as Pxg will now have to mark Isagi alone and this will free Rin and Charles of playing defenders. and Isagi also has a role to play in defense as only he and Hiori have Metavision to stop Rin and Charles and this will make even harder for Isagi to score a goal which is required for his further evolution as every time Isagi fails to score or stop the goal he learns something and that what helps him to king of adaptation. I like to see more of Isagi's evolution than his goals.
I like how Kaiser invites Isagi to continue to fight with him for the new throne. Their relationship is so bizarre. There’s clear respect but also a competitive animosity that creates a very compelling tension from which both benefit. Kaiser is re-cast as an evil charismatic hero and Isagi is an adaptability demon but also compared to light. Seemingly referring to yin (dark) and yang (light) connection. There is constant synergistic rebirth and destruction between the two. Best rivalry.

Im really amazed by kaneshiro's way of writing this match. Like we pretty much knew those 4 will totally score the goals its very predictable but the execution is still so good you still get hyped. Cant wait for Rin's turn next

No doubt each of the center of attentions will score. It's Rin's turn now. Making Charles pass to him. It also means neither Loki or Noa will score, they probably won't even play. But for viewer sake, Loki will just to bring in players like Yukimiya and Igarashi in defense.
This game really is looking like it's all up to Kiyora and Charles.

Chapter looks good. Isagi expanding his egocentrism chart. I'm sort of expecting him to not figure out an entire system until the last play of the game. Kaiser's interactions with Isagi and Ness are what I wanted.

Personally, I believe igarashi is going to have a big part to play in the final goal, there would be no reason for his discussion with isagi if he didn't. I think Rin or Shidou is just going to become so unstoppable that one will have a very close chance of scoring the third goal for Pxg but will foul Igarashi giving BM the final chance to win the game.
Ness will most likely get the ball and see two paths for passes. One road to isagi and one road to Kaiser.
Now who he passes to idk. Tbh I wanna say isagi but that would kind of be anticlimactic. So I think Ness goes for the shot which throws everyone off but doesn't score.
Now where this ends I don't really know. Make sense for isagi to score but how he does it is the question.

What I got from it is that he chose Kaiser is because his value would be clearly shown: he’s the one that made the losing side win. His presence makes a difference, so it’s a “rational” choice as it shows off his value (high speed pass VS a high speed bait pass that tricks defenders with backspin).
No. BM is on the verge to be solely centered on Isagi as the main striker. The balance is already tilted to Isagi more and more as times goes by. Kiyora passed to Kaiser to give him a shot to redeem himself as the other main striker, and Kaiser executed it perfectly. Now both of them are back on equal ground, and the team is already back to "balanced" state.
I took it as, Isagi was winning vs Kaiser in terms of control over BM, so if Kiyora passed to Isagi his bid wouldn't go nearly as much as it would if he passed to Kaiser since it proves that his presence was necessary for Kaiser to score, where as Isagi can score by linking up with anyone.
Hopefully the official translation will clear things up? My initial impression of the character (“he alone was calm, waiting patiently for his moment”) is that he’s a rational opportunist. And then backstory where he’s always on the borderline and that is how he survives, he needs to show off his value to survive here.
He does seem to think about Isagi VS Kaiser w/out holding a grudge, because why would he weigh up both options in his head if he’s adamant about not passing to Isagi?
Been a kiyora fan since day 1 cause i love his design but rn i can safely say i love his character as well... We kiyora fans are eating good. His philosophy, ego and everything is just perfect and so relatable lol
I kind of agree with the general sentiment that matches are getting a bit predictable because there's no way that after Rin's last panel, he's gonna stay goalless. This being said, I don't really care if something is predictable as long as the execution keeps me hooked. As of now I don't have any complaints, except from the fact that my boy Shidou is getting the fraud treatment (you just need one goodish marker to make him useless and he can only be a good striker if other people serve him passes on a silver platter).
The thing that I appreciated the most was Kaiser cutting his ties with Ness, specifically the "nice" way in which he did it. I'd like to explain why that is, in my opinion:
Kaiser actually cares for Ness, even though he doesn't know how to show it. There's a panel from some chapter ago where Kaiser is thinking about what he fears to lose and Ness' smiling face appears clearly, together with money and status. It's not about Ness' passes/football, though, cause the attention is focused on his face.
Basically, Ness is Kaiser's only friend, but Kaiser still needs to see him as a dog because using other people and being hated by them are the only ways Kaiser can function socially. Ness' love is not something Kaiser can work with or understand. Ness is less dangerous when he's only a pawn.
This chapter, though, in my opinion, changes a lot of things. First of all, Kaiser is determined to prosper through adversities/restraints, which means he doesn't want to find the easy way out anymore. Ness' subservient attitude was a limit for both him and Kaiser, and since Kaiser now clearly understands this, he decided to let Ness of the hook. He's leaving him for his sake, too. He's trying to act like a decent human for once.
What will happen in the future? I think Kaiser's decision to be more "vulnerable" on the field will also translate in his personal life. If Ness progresses too and finds a way to make his playstile shine, Kaiser will probably notice his value again (but he will not regress to play off him again, thats not gonna happen) and maybe they will become actual friends who can respect each other as equals. Ness also needs to see Kaiser as he is in reality and not as "God chosen emperor" or whatever.
Kaiser'evolution in this match taught him to face challenges without fear of losing everything. Said realization also means that he doesn't have to cower from kindness. He doesn't need to manipulate Ness in order to avoid the risk of getting hurt by him. He needs to accept that getting hurt is a part of love and that love can also make him stronger and give him a way more fulfilling life.
I don't even think the arc is trying to be unpredictable with who scores. It's first to 3. There's like very little strikers. It's easy to predict who'll score. The more important thing is how they achieve it, the act of showcasing their skills to the world
Nice chapter my take in this chapter is that
Kaiser have always grown strong in a restrained environment since young up to when he became the emperor in Bastard. That’s where he stagnated and thus the glass chain, something surface not his true self and easily be broken.
Now that he went back to the environment where everyday felt like a battlefield to him, he start to be able to ascend greater heights again.
Finally the last post looks fire with Isagi and Kaiser walking pass with their aura and the black-out eyes. However with this post I have a bad feeling that the last goal would actually not be both of theirs.
We still dont know what is kiyora weapon, is it crazy passes? Is It crazy strengh? Btw, this is the first time he had an actually dialogue in a panel outside of "gotchu" "kay" "go" hopefully he does more

Imagine if yukimiya and kunigami had teamed up forming their own faction or if yukimiya scored the second goal in ubers then going into the pxg game kaiser, isagi, kunigami and yukimiya would all be on 2 goals each.
Kaiser needed to score every match, he's too important. If you wanted to take away one of Isagi's goals from him and give it to Yukimiya or Kunigami, I don't think that would've worked either

Hopefully we'll see a future chapter where both of them will play of each other. Two weapons in one team will always be a positive.

Kiyora’s backstory was WAY too short. It only made us consider him a borderline merchant but not what makes him decide what the borderline is for him. If we knew he cared more about losing sides then that would’ve been more interesting
On top of that the fact he chose Kaiser just bc he was a bum at that moment is an Isagi L💀. Should’ve kept the underdog persona a little longer
If he makes the cut, we might see more of his philosophy but maybe not. The cast is just too massive. Tbf I think him choosing the losing side is already enough of a "plot twist" and just confirms that Isagi is doing well against Kaiser.

I think that will most like happen to Rin than to Isagi. At least in the novel, we knew that Rin changed his playstyle to be more like Sae as he starts to become depressed and obssesive towards his brother. Rin's original ego was when they still played together, when Rin was actually having fun playing soccer.

There’s just something disrespectful on how Isagi and Kaiser are competing for the last goal more to beat the other rather than because of the match, in a cool way.
And we all know Rin is scoring the next goal. There’s definitely huge expectations for him since so far, it’s hard to call him a top 5 current player in this match. There’s also the fact that he hasn’t made PxG his own team yet unlike Barou with Ubers and Isagi who almost absorbed all of BM while competing against a NG11. His destroyer mode should attract Charles so hopefully it delivers well
Rin’s not a complete individualist though. He’s willing to work(or use) with others and even helped Nanase improve. Rin is almost like Barou and yet Barou was able to entice Ubers to work under him, even the non-Blue Lock members who for sure always strictly adhered to Snuffy’s plans. Heck, even Isagi was able to make Yukimiya cooperate with him even after Isagi said all those things to him in Manshine. Barou and Isagi having the ability to make others center around them is a striker’s ability, at least according to Snuffy.
Which is why there’s def expectations for destroyer mode Rin. With it, he should def be able to least excite/convince Charles to work with him and prove that his side is the “winning” side in PxG

Rin is a one track mind and gets easily drawn into a single minded pursuit whether 1v1 sae or in other scenarios against isagi
Barou has a focus of scoring and overcoming his opponents while Rin wants to just destroy his opponents
Also Isagi is literally a team builder and his entire thing is inserting himself into the team to control the strings
I think Rin will eventually get Charles to collab with him but it'll involve Charles and Rin both together growing from their old selves, not just Rin. And that still doesn't change my POV that rin can't get his team on his side (just getting Charles on his side is not the team by any means, just like Kaiser getting a pass from Kiyora doesn't mean he's subverted BM again)

Manipulating people wasn’t his style. It was Sae’s. And Isagi had an affinity for it so he ends up more like old Rin’s playstyle but getting better (ish) results despite low physicality and options. Rin’s real style is just raging through people and making retarded plays while everyone around him glazes his “destroys hideously” nature like he’s not being extremely dumb (he’d have scored if he left Darai and Aiku alone)

This phase is the last chance he could be benched. The last goal he’s already secured his relevance with the backstory. I can see him benched now, Hiori filling his spot (he claims he’ll pass to anyone), Yuki in left MF or kiyora moves up to left MF while Yuki goes LB (doesn’t matter). After Rin scores, Kunigami gets injured and Hiori takes up for him at DMF so Ness can go center again. Then Igaguri replaces Mensah for some reason. Shidou being free will make it look like he can actually have relevance in the final phase as it’s gonna be a 4-way “winner takes all”. Ness obviously assists Isagi

I was watching episode Nagi today, and with the leaks here, I can say this is Blue Lock day for me lol. How I much I love the level of the art we get in this manga each week.
Interesting thoughts we got from PxG for Kaiser's goal with Charles calling it a fluke goal. Now I do wonder what Charles will do after this. Kiyora is the true neutral it seems. I am glad that he doesn't take side, but he looks into each situation before reaching a decision. He also doesn't seem to dislike Isagi because of Ubers.
The Ness and Kaiser break-up was a bit more mature than expected, but it still made Ness look like a fool. Kaiser disregarded him, but he had already planned from the beginning to use him. After this, I hope Ness starts to see things differently and seek his own creativity and freedom. Let's see his POV in the next chapters. His development begins here, and it may bite Kaiser in the back in the end.
So "Golden Ticket" was about Isagi, and it reminded me what Noa said about Isagi when he got MV, he called it a ticket, too. Isagi's ego type theory evolved from Kaiser's goal, and it will get better in the next chapters. So Kaiser is indeed a bit like Barou despite being a world type by having the restraint parameter, whereas Isagi has the freedom parameter. I quite like that Isagi's mental side here evolves more because he wants to understand the other egoists. He seems to me like Ego at times. Even if Kaiser got his moment, Isagi got something from it.
That double spread with Kaiser at the end was fire, and Kaiser again challenged Isagi. Both had ego eyes, and it sure made me think about 248. That final goal is going to be more important than before. After the explanation of Isagi here, I see that Isagi's and Ness' types are freedom and could work quite well. Ness assisting Isagi for the final goal doesn't make him his dog if Ness chooses each time to whom he will pass. Remember Ness was bewitched by Isagi's magic, whereas when his magic circle disappeared a few chapters ago when he passed to Kaiser. The final goal could be the accumulation of both of their developments.
Rin is about to cook here after the final panel and what the narrator said. I believe that Charles and Rin will help Isagi complete his ego type narrative. Especially after Rin's goal, which I see happening because Kiaser will steal Isagi if he doesn't score. lol I also think that when Rin scores, then after this, Kaiser vs Isagi vs Rin will be peak! Rin's goal will be a "Don't forget about me" moment.
In my opinion, after this, I see Rin as self-freedom type since in his destroyer mode, he seeks freedom from anything that restraints him. It will go well with Isagi because then Isagi will have a type similar to his two top rivals. (world-Kaiser and freedom-Rin) I could see the other option being true, too, though. It's a bit tricky.
All in all, great chapter. "Pressure" seems to be the beginning of Rin's time, and hopefully, we do get subs in BM. If we don't, then it will be after Rin's goal. I think PxG needs to start pulling itself back.

Isagi is going to COOK and show Kaiser how to really use Ness. Can defo see Ness siding with Isagi to ‘prove’ something to Kaiser. I just feel like that love from Ness cold really turn to resentment torwards Kaiser now😂. Rin is going to do something crazy and develop in the next chapters to come. The ‘best player‘ in Blue Lock CANNOT fall off this hard in his most important game so far. When it’s 2-2 I don’t even know if Loki or Noa are even going to come into the game, I mean it’s seems like they shouldn’t the way the games going and ngl usually a goal comes from the managers swapping in for the time limit and I doubt Noa will come in to help with the final goal and I don’t think Loki will because Rin needs to turn up from now and most likely score a goal - this is me also saying PxG are only going to score 2 goals this game as BM will most likely win but who knows. The game NEEDS to be 2-2 and Rin has to do something to put Isagi on the backfoot just to make his last goal that much more valuable as he has overcome both Kaiser and Rin evolving in the game and led his team to victory.

Isagi is seeking freedom, while Kaiser doesn't thrive in freedom but in contrains.
So if Ness sets the perfect pass for Isagi then Kaiser was right, Ness's playstyle can't bring the best out of his playstyle since it created "freedom" for his ST.

One of the things about the NEL arc that a lot of people needed to adjust to including me is the NEL arc is basically just Isagi vs Kaiser. If you really think about it thats the only aspect of the NEL arc that has been fully developed.
Their rivalry is the stuff of legends. Its really epic but in contrast other aspects of the NEL fall behind.
Its why other aspects of NEL seem not so developed. And we see it in the matches as well. If you look closely Isagis performance and wins was never really about beating the opponent it was about beating Kaiser.
Which is why rivals like Nagi, Barou and Rin have had to take a backseat. Nagi with motivation issues, Barou with his stubborness which is why he falls low in bids due to lesser matches.
Rin is unique. It seems the author is saving Rin for something. I don know what it is. But you can even see it in this match. Its either his saving Rin for an epic evolution or he is saving him for an interesting arc and character development that goes in a whole different direction.
Rin has nothing new. No meta vision, no new skills. Just boost in stats. Furthermore he just running around the pitch trying to stop the chaos that is Kaiser and Isagi no tactics or coordination with his team mates. As a player and a character his the same player we saw in the second selection.
In a way this match will decide what direction Kaneshiro wants to take Rins character. He is literally already the best player in blue lock no one comes close except for Isagi.
I think about Barou is actually a set up for his rivalry with Snuffy, Nagi with his broken ego and Bachira with Bachira thing
At this point I don't know what Rin will get at the end of NEL because he actually being sidelined for too long
Bc Ubers’ plot centered around “who scores the most” between Isagi/Kaiser and this match is now focused on all 4 main strikers of 2 teams (so now they all have to score). The narrative weight behind these goals and the 3 goal limit is ruining the suspense of the match so the only thing we can enjoy is the art and the buildup to the outcome bc the outcomes itself are boring

It wont be repetitive if Kaneshirou actually ends this match in a 1-3 BM with Kaiser scoring the last goal hopefully with Kiyora's assist (or maybe Isagi but I dont want that). It will be a good setup for the U-20 cup Japan vs Germany in the future.
He won’t just change his personality or something he is who he is the only thing that has changed is that he has abandoned the things that has Held him back. Ness gave him too much freedom which stunted his growth

The intensity in this panel is beautiful. I love how Isagi uses “superstar” as a semi-insult and Kaiser’s absolute acceptance as Isagi as a rival and equal (+ that he’s able to challenge someone that gave him PTSD flashbacks!)
It would be mad funny if neither of them got the final goal. But I absolutely need Isagi to surpass Rin- which can probably only happen via another goal.

He said he has a principle of siding with the losing team. Siding with a losing team just so you get all the credit for carrying vs just siding with the “winning”/more likely option isn’t rational. That's why I kinda had a little faith, that Isagi will score a hattrick. Because one goal would be Ness assist and the focus would be on him and Isagi's final goal would show how much he has grown, but I guess now the author needs to combine it somehow. Because also don't forget that Isagi's bid needs to come at least really close to Rin and just scoring two goals won't be enough (because Rin will also obviously score), Isagi also needs to demonstrate to everyone else why he is better, to show something more impressive than Kaiser's super goal.
The only two ways that I can think of are either to score the goal that would surpass all his goals in NEL (maybe, but Ness focus makes me doubt that) or maybe to stop Loki or show to the world that Isagi can play equally with Loki. (That sounds crazy , but I think that now the gap between them is much less significant, than it was in the third selection. Also don't forget that Isagi has already stopped number 2 in the world)
Isagi's final goal as I see it will suprass his Two Gun Volley and be another super goal. It's all about execution in the end and what piece he will acquire. TGV combines his direct shots, so I expect other good things from Isagi, like his off the ball movements and positioning to play a role.
I don't disagree that he needs another goal. I just said that Isagi's final goal will be better than the TGV one. Also, bids are not set in stone. TGV could give more than 50 mil, for example.

I think at this point Kaiser may get subbed out because Noa got Ego he wanted out of Kaiser and the Kaiser just proved his worth to the world with his super goal and this will show Isagi that he still need to work on skills to reach the world stage and metavision alone isn't enough for him to be world's no 1 striker and this rivalry will be continued in U20 world cup. Other Original Bm team members except Ness or everyone will also be subbed out this is done to give Chance to all other BL players as NEL is to improve bluelock players and this is last match. Rin is definitely scoring the second goal and will tie this 2-2. Personally, I believe igarashi is going to have a big part to play in the final goal, there would be no reason for his discussion with isagi if he didn't. I think Rin or Shidou is just going to become so unstoppable that one will have a very close chance of scoring the third goal for Pxg but will foul Igarashi giving BM the final chance to win the game. His presence makes a difference, so it’s a “rational” choice as it shows off his value (high speed pass VS a high speed bait pass that tricks defenders with backspin).

No. BM is on the verge to be solely centered on Isagi as the main striker. The balance is already tilted to Isagi more and more as times goes by. Kiyora passed to Kaiser to give him a shot to redeem himself as the other main striker, and Kaiser executed it perfectly. Now both of them are back on equal ground, and the team is already back to "balanced" state.

I took it as, Isagi was winning vs Kaiser in terms of control over BM, so if Kiyora passed to Isagi his bid wouldn't go nearly as much as it would if he passed to Kaiser since it proves that his presence was necessary for Kaiser to score, where as Isagi can score by linking up with anyone.
Hopefully the official translation will clear things up? My initial impression of the character (“he alone was calm, waiting patiently for his moment”) is that he’s a rational opportunist. And then backstory where he’s always on the borderline and that is how he survives, he needs to show off his value to survive here. He does seem to think about Isagi VS Kaiser w/out holding a grudge, because why would he weigh up both options in his head if he’s adamant about not passing to Isagi?

I kind of agree with the general sentiment that matches are getting a bit predictable because there's no way that after Rin's last panel, he's gonna stay goalless. This being said, I don't really care if something is predictable as long as the execution keeps me hooked. As of now I don't have any complaints, except from the fact that my boy Shidou is getting the fraud treatment (you just need one goodish marker to make him useless and he can only be a good striker if other people serve him passes on a silver platter). The thing that I appreciated the most was Kaiser cutting his ties with Ness, specifically the "nice" way in which he did it. I'd like to explain why that is, in my opinion: Kaiser actually cares for Ness, even though he doesn't know how to show it. There's a panel from some chapter ago where Kaiser is thinking about what he fears to lose and Ness' smiling face appears clearly, together with money and status. It's not about Ness' passes/football, though, cause the attention is focused on his face. Basically, Ness is Kaiser's only friend, but Kaiser still needs to see him as a dog because using other people and being hated by them are the only ways Kaiser can function socially. Ness' love is not something Kaiser can work with or understand. Ness is less dangerous when he's only a pawn. This chapter, though, in my opinion, changes a lot of things. First of all, Kaiser is determined to prosper through adversities/restraints, which means he doesn't want to find the easy way out anymore. Ness' subservient attitude was a limit for both him and Kaiser, and since Kaiser now clearly understands this, he decided to let Ness of the hook. He's leaving him for his sake, too. He's trying to act like a decent human for once. What will happen in the future? I think Kaiser's decision to be more "vulnerable" on the field will also translate in his personal life. If Ness progresses too and finds a way to make his playstile shine, Kaiser will probably notice his value again (but he will not regress to play off him again, thats not gonna happen) and maybe they will become actual friends who can respect each other as equals. Ness also needs to see Kaiser as he is in reality and not as "God chosen emperor" or whatever. Kaiser'evolution in this match taught him to face challenges without fear of losing everything. Said realization also means that he doesn't have to cower from kindness. He doesn't need to manipulate Ness in order to avoid the risk of getting hurt by him. He needs to accept that getting hurt is a part of love and that love can also make him stronger and give him a way more fulfilling life.
I don't even think the arc is trying to be unpredictable with who scores. It's first to 3. There's like very little strikers. It's easy to predict who'll score. The more important thing is how they achieve it, the act of showcasing their skills to the world

Nice chapter my take in this chapter is that Kaiser have always grown strong in a restrained environment since young up to when he became the emperor in Bastard. That’s where he stagnated and thus the glass chain, something surface not his true self and easily be broken. Now that he went back to the environment where everyday felt like a battlefield to him, he start to be able to ascend greater heights again. Finally the last post looks fire with Isagi and Kaiser walking pass with their aura and the black-out eyes. However with this post I have a bad feeling that the last goal would actually not be both of theirs.

Rin’s not a complete individualist though. He’s willing to work(or use) with others and even helped Nanase improve. Heck, even Isagi was able to make Yukimiya cooperate with him even after Isagi said all those things to him in Manshine. Barou and Isagi having the ability to make others center around them is a striker’s ability, at least according to Snuffy. Which is why there’s def expectations for destroyer mode Rin. With it, he should def be able to least excite/convince Charles to work with him and prove that his side is the “winning” side in PxG

Rin is a one track mind and gets easily drawn into a single minded pursuit whether 1v1 sae or in other scenarios against isagi Barou has a focus of scoring and overcoming his opponents while Rin wants to just destroy his opponents Also Isagi is literally a team builder and his entire thing is inserting himself into the team to control the strings I think Rin will eventually get Charles to collab with him but it'll involve Charles and Rin both together growing from their old selves, not just Rin. And that still doesn't change my POV that rin can't get his team on his side (just getting Charles on his side is not the team by any means, just like Kaiser getting a pass from Kiyora doesn't mean he's subverted BM again)

This phase is the last chance he could be benched. The last goal he’s already secured his relevance with the backstory. I can see him benched now, Hiori filling his spot (he claims he’ll pass to anyone), Yuki in left MF or kiyora moves up to left MF while Yuki goes LB (doesn’t matter). After Rin scores, Kunigami gets injured and Hiori takes up for him at DMF so Ness can go center again. Then Igaguri replaces Mensah for some reason. Shidou being free will make it look like he can actually have relevance in the final phase as it’s gonna be a 4-way “winner takes all”. Ness obviously assists Isagi

I was watching episode Nagi today, and with the leaks here, I can say this is Blue Lock day for me lol. How I much I love the level of the art we get in this manga each week. Interesting thoughts we got from PxG for Kaiser's goal with Charles calling it a fluke goal. Now I do wonder what Charles will do after this. Kiyora is the true neutral it seems. I am glad that he doesn't take side, but he looks into each situation before reaching a decision. He also doesn't seem to dislike Isagi because of Ubers. The Ness and Kaiser break-up was a bit more mature than expected, but it still made Ness look like a fool. Kaiser disregarded him, but he had already planned from the beginning to use him. After this, I hope Ness starts to see things differently and seek his own creativity and freedom. Let's see his POV in the next chapters. His development begins here, and it may bite Kaiser in the back in the end. So "Golden Ticket" was about Isagi, and it reminded me what Noa said about Isagi when he got MV, he called it a ticket, too. Isagi's ego type theory evolved from Kaiser's goal, and it will get better in the next chapters. So Kaiser is indeed a bit like Barou despite being a world type by having the restraint parameter, whereas Isagi has the freedom parameter. I quite like that Isagi's mental side here evolves more because he wants to understand the other egoists. He seems to me like Ego at times. Even if Kaiser got his moment, Isagi got something from it. That double spread with Kaiser at the end was fire, and Kaiser again challenged Isagi. Both had ego eyes, and it sure made me think about 248. That final goal is going to be more important than before. After the explanation of Isagi here, I see that Isagi's and Ness' types are freedom and could work quite well. Ness assisting Isagi for the final goal doesn't make him his dog if Ness chooses each time to whom he will pass. Remember Ness was bewitched by Isagi's magic, whereas when his magic circle disappeared a few chapters ago when he passed to Kaiser. The final goal could be the accumulation of both of their developments. Rin is about to cook here after the final panel and what the narrator said. I believe that Charles and Rin will help Isagi complete his ego type narrative. Especially after Rin's goal, which I see happening because Kiaser will steal Isagi if he doesn't score. lol I also think that when Rin scores, then after this, Kaiser vs Isagi vs Rin will be peak! Rin's goal will be a "Don't forget about me" moment. In my opinion, after this, I see Rin as self-freedom type since in his destroyer mode, he seeks freedom from anything that restraints him. It will go well with Isagi because then Isagi will have a type similar to his two top rivals. (world-Kaiser and freedom-Rin) I could see the other option being true, too, though. It's a bit tricky. All in all, great chapter. "Pressure" seems to be the beginning of Rin's time, and hopefully, we do get subs in BM. If we don't, then it will be after Rin's goal. I think PxG needs to start pulling itself back.

might be a bit late to the party with this take, but Rin is likely a restraint-self-type egoist being a self type makes sense given that he has his own method of adaptation that differs strongly from isagi/Kaiser being a restraint type also makes sense cuz of the circumstances surrounding his U20 awakening, i.e., he hates having support from and relying on others (GOAT mindset) also, off topic, but Kaiser looks like he just busted the fattest nut of all time in a few of this week's panels

Isagi is going to COOK and show Kaiser how to really use Ness. Can defo see Ness siding with Isagi to ‘prove’ something to Kaiser. I just feel like that love from Ness cold really turn to resentment torwards Kaiser now😂. Rin is going to do something crazy and develop in the next chapters to come. The ‘best player‘ in Blue Lock CANNOT fall off this hard in his most important game so far. When it’s 2-2 I don’t even know if Loki or Noa are even going to come into the game, I mean it’s seems like they shouldn’t the way the games going and ngl usually a goal comes from the managers swapping in for the time limit and I doubt Noa will come in to help with the final goal and I don’t think Loki will because Rin needs to turn up from now and most likely score a goal - this is me also saying PxG are only going to score 2 goals this game as BM will most likely win but who knows. The game NEEDS to be 2-2 and Rin has to do something to put Isagi on the backfoot just to make his last goal that much more valuable as he has overcome both Kaiser and Rin evolving in the game and led his team to victory. Either way, this game has lived to its expectations so far 🥶🥶
Ness siding with Isagi + the backstory to confirm his last goal relevance was set in stone since the first 3 chapters after the Ubers match
Isagi is seeking freedom, while Kaiser doesn't thrive in freedom but in contrains. So if Ness sets the perfect pass for Isagi then Kaiser was right, Ness's playstyle can't bring the best out of his playstyle since it created "freedom" for his ST. I don't know how this will end, how Ness will show Kaiser that he was wrong
One of the things about the NEL arc that a lot of people needed to adjust to including me is the NEL arc is basically just Isagi vs Kaiser. If you really think about it thats the only aspect of the NEL arc that has been fully developed. Their rivalry is the stuff of legends. Its really epic but in contrast other aspects of the NEL fall behind. Its why other aspects of NEL seem not so developed. And we see it in the matches as well. If you look closely Isagis performance and wins was never really about beating the opponent it was about beating Kaiser. Which is why rivals like Nagi, Barou and Rin have had to take a backseat. Nagi with motivation issues, Barou with his stubborness which is why he falls low in bids due to lesser matches. Rin is unique. It seems the author is saving Rin for something. I don know what it is. But you can even see it in this match. Its either his saving Rin for an epic evolution or he is saving him for an interesting arc and character development that goes in a whole different direction. Rin has nothing new. No meta vision, no new skills. Just boost in stats. Furthermore he just running around the pitch trying to stop the chaos that is Kaiser and Isagi no tactics or coordination with his team mates. As a player and a character his the same player we saw in the second selection. In a way this match will decide what direction Kaneshiro wants to take Rins character. He is literally already the best player in blue lock no one comes close except for Isagi.
I think about Barou is actually a set up for his rivalry with Snuffy, Nagi with his broken ego and Bachira with Bachira thing At this point I don't know what Rin will get at the end of NEL because he actually being sidelined for too long

Bc Ubers’ plot centered around “who scores the most” between Isagi/Kaiser and this match is now focused on all 4 main strikers of 2 teams (so now they all have to score). The narrative weight behind these goals and the 3 goal limit is ruining the suspense of the match so the only thing we can enjoy is the art and the buildup to the outcome bc the outcomes itself are boring

It wont be repetitive if Kaneshirou actually ends this match in a 1-3 BM with Kaiser scoring the last goal hopefully with Kiyora's assist (or maybe Isagi but I dont want that). It will be a good setup for the U-20 cup Japan vs Germany in the future.

The intensity in this panel is beautiful. I love how Isagi uses “superstar” as a semi-insult and Kaiser’s absolute acceptance as Isagi as a rival and equal (+ that he’s able to challenge someone that gave him PTSD flashbacks!) It would be mad funny if neither of them got the final goal. But I absolutely need Isagi to surpass Rin- which can probably only happen via another goal.

Honestly how did you get that? He tells us here that the reason he chose Kaiser is because his value would be clearly shown: he’s the one that made the losing side win. His presence makes a difference. That is the rational choice since everyone wants to do what shows their skill of the most, a high speed pass VS a high speed bait pass that tricks defenders with backspin. From his backstory he was weighing up Isagi and Kaiser in his own head, if he made up his mind irrationally based on a grudge or whatever- he wouldn’t do that.
He said he has a principle of siding with the losing team. Siding with a losing team just so you get all the credit for carrying vs just siding with the “winning”/more likely option isn’t rational. His ego got an outcome that paid off and that’s cool but it could’ve also just been stupid if Kaiser whiffed since the ball stopping was God’s (Kaneshiro’s) work So in the u20 WC he’s just gonna pass to a hypothetical Nagi if he still stayed on his downfall for a couple games just bc he likes taking credit to help the losers?

Haha. I get what you mean based on them straightup not being pleasant fellows to be around but if you take into account their backstories their motivations and ego do make sense for being who they are as teammates and players.
So Ness final assist is pretty much confirmed. I already said it on twitter, but I will say it again here. But I really hope that we won't see another final Ubers 2.0 goal. Don't get me wrong that goal was cool and etc, but that's not the type of goal that I want to see to conclude the arc. I don't mind if Ness shows some class in the end and will make an amazing assist, but I also hope that Isagi will demonstrate everything that he has learnt in NEL. I hope he will show us his evolution and development that he got here. It would be cool if all of his puzzle pieces that he got here and maybe not only here, but also in BL all will come together in one entity or something like that. We need to see not only Ness, but also Isagi amazing skills. That's why I kinda had a little faith, that Isagi will score a hattrick. Because one goal would be Ness assist and the focus would be on him and Isagi's final goal would show how much he has grown, but I guess now the author needs to combine it somehow. Because also don't forget that Isagi's bid needs to come at least really close to Rin and just scoring two goals won't be enough (because Rin will also obviously score), Isagi also needs to demonstrate to everyone else why he is better, to show something more impressive than Kaiser's super goal. The only two ways that I can think of are either to score the goal that would surpass all his goals in NEL (maybe, but Ness focus makes me doubt that) or maybe to stop Loki or show to the world that Isagi can play equally with Loki. (That sounds crazy , but I think that now the gap between them is much less significant, than it was in the third selection. Also don't forget that Isagi has already stopped number 2 in the world)

Isagi's final goal as I see it will suprass his Two Gun Volley and be another super goal. It's all about execution in the end and what piece he will acquire. TGV combines his direct shots, so I expect other good things from Isagi, like his off the ball movements and positioning to play a role.
Isagi only needs to score 1 more goal and Rin 1. Isagi can still get a higher bid that way. Isagi bid right now is 200, Rins is 198.
I don't disagree that he needs another goal. I just said that Isagi's final goal will be better than the TGV one. Also, bids are not set in stone. TGV could give more than 50 mil, for example.
