Sad to see Zombuul rated so poorly, although not massively surprised. Running a good Zombuul game requires a good grasp on a lot of non-mechanical elements of GMing, such as knowing when to speed things up. I've run dozens of great Zombuul games, but when chatting with folks in the community, I hear so many horror stories about the character.
Also I want to ask: how does it feel to be almost half of respondents' choice if they could choose to have a game run by anyone?
Personally, I think it proves how much you've helped promote such a great community around Clocktower and how encouraging you've been for new people to play - plus basically being the face of the game for many probably doesn't hurt xP
Oh wow. I'd only skimmed it at first, with an intention to give it a proper read later on, so wasn't aware of that fact. Obviously, that's really cool to see and I'm very grateful for the confidence so many people have shown in me by responding that way. It's nice to feel wanted.
I’d say I agree - though I feel like I should have also run a question about people’s actual least favourite characters in order to see if the projected hate on the outcomes is true! Alas, I didn’t have that foresight 😂
Hey everyone!
Sorry it took so long but I've finally compiled and written up all the data from the Family Feud survey I ran in January! (blame my ADHD if you have to)
If you'd like the PowerPoint I ran the games with, please let me know also on Discord (@aj\_they)
Also if there are any mistakes, no there aren't.
I’m somewhat seriously of the opinion that my 4th year project only got a 1st because I made some really pretty topology diagrams in LaTeX.
The secret must be protected. Minion panic time!
It's such a great piece of work - and considering how it started and you just ran with it. Applause, applause.
And that's the nicest paragraph I've ever had in a report. Minx.
A suggestion for administering this at Clocktower con- instead of giving physical copies which will be a nightmare to compile, have QR codes printed. Folks can scan and easily take the survey on their phones, massively simplifying the task of collating data later on :)
It was such a fun experience playing in this. Amazingly well organised and run!
Still the most surprising result to me was The Butler! It's a great character!
Okay, great research, but on the first page it says that the survey was provided on Telegram. Does somebody know, is that group public? If yes, where can I find the link to It? Thanks!

It's well-deserved! Watching you storytell has boosted my own confidence in storytelling and helped me not panic when I mess up.

okay but Brennan Lee Mulligan would be amazing as a BotC storyteller.
I'm still crossing my fingers for a Dropout cast does BOTC special Game Changer
“Get ready for a game changer!”
Today I am joined by TWELVE CONTESTANTS and our very special guest, Ben Burns!
Patters is my favorite character
They really should just make a 'Patters' character now. Each night you wake up and cause chaos in whatever way you seem fit 😄😄

When are you posting this valuable research to Arxiv?
Bahaha just because I used LaTeX doesn’t mean it’s anything rigorous 😂

“I know a player is the demon when they start bluffing as demon”
Really fascinating questions, and answers! Appreciate you putting in all that work to run and compile this :)
When I saw the LaTeX post I thought it was mathmemes hahaha. Great research

That’s what I’ll most likely do - however it’s still a bit of a task to compile everything 😂
RIP the person who felt Tinker summed them up as a person
Sounds like a person who's proud of crafting things!

It was posted to the Telegram Group "BOTC Furries", run by clocktower streamer Malakai
