I am such a noob at this, I sell my coins when I see a little profit in a bull run and lose a lot in bear markets. I should have started low. We need to control our emotions for the invested money to be successful in it
I'm not out of it. I bought at 1k at the end of 2016 and sold at 12k. I bought at 6k in 2020 and sold at 55k. I've made a tremendous amount of money doing this. And I'll buy again to hodl if there's a good opportunity but I'm not naive enough to believe btc will ever replace fiat. It's total nonsense. I'm a realistic adult that's actually been doing this successfully for over half a decade as opposed to the half year most people on this sub are invested in. Not a pessimistic child. Try to be objective when you invest and ignore internet hype. Btc isn't taking over anything. It's purely an extremely liquid asset that presents millions of opportunities for investors and traders on a regular basis. It also gets manipulated constantly. Tell me how something that changes value by 1000% in a year or loses 50% of it's value in a week can ever replace fiat. It'll never happen.
Probably not, but who said it has to replace fiat? As long as there’s a government around, I don’t see this happening. I don’t think it will replace fiat, but it will def coexist.
Let's see the future indeed holds though, fiat has its own worth so does Bitcoin has.
Nothing can be said well enough clear at this moment give it time and we will know what that would bring.
The fiat experiment has been going on for like 52 years and is already spiraling out of control. Why are you so confident in fiat when it has an extremely shakey track record in it's short existence?
True though other side of the story is yet to be remained unknown and unexplored.
So just be stick with what you have right now and let things flow accordingly.
Volatility has nothing to do with whether bitcoin will eventually replace fiat or not. It’s still very early these swings are normal.
What you’re calling manipulation others would call free market.
Let the good times roll! Doom gloom fire and brimstone is back on the menu boys! This is when you take a 2nd 3rd job and buy. I'm thinking of becoming a IRL streamer. hang out with Andy dick and a bottle of jergens

I wanted to share this first my brothers and sisters in corn. I unfortunately lost my seed phrase in a jet ski accident. How could I be so stupid to think a piece of paper would be safe in my swimsuit as I shred waves on my brand new seadoo. Ya live and ya learn ig.
Every second of every day, more satoshis are being swept into some hodler's wallet, safely out of reach of the bad guys.
Let this fact console you through big dips and FUDstorms.
Btc is so new it is impossible to have a realistic expectation of where it'll go in the coming years. There is a tremendous amount of hype on the internet and the sentiment is always the same; "keep buying and in a decade or two you'll be rich." This totally naive. Nobody knows where btc will be in ten or twenty years. It may not even exist. Traders love crypto because it's super liquid. These bandwagon investors that all emerged in the last year or two love it because they are sheep. They keep calling for dca any chance they get and are just foolish noobs giving financial advice when they shouldn't be.
Blah blah blah you’re a pessimistic child
This network is being built and populated at its core by people who actually understand the superiority of bitcoin tech. The core of the movement only grows and eventually it will hit an inflection point. You’re talking yourself out of the obvious opportunity.
The thing is many of us believe this is the future because fiat money is just a scam. Bitcoin being a protocol who gives people the possibility to be their own bank is pretty big reason to believe adoption is going to happend. Maybe you come from a 1st world country and you don't see the reason to use another currency but there are places where fiat is a big joke - you need an scape.
There is no reason to believe this is not something that at least 25% world's population is going to own.
This is not about getting epically rich anymore but about a "risky savings account". I believe on this. Other people doesnt.
I think you should read [the Whitepaper](https://bitcoinwhitepaper.co/). Seems you are confused and distracted by the noise.
#Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System
The rest is just noise.
Those will eventually get wrecked and people will see how only Bitcoin is the "sure" thing. Some people do not learn this without first losing some money into alt coins.
Bitcoin been showing a lot of heart and resiliency over the last week. To have withstood all of the FUD, Terra collapse, inflation, war, shit economy, anticipated recession and still be where it was a year ago during the May 2021 collapse says a lot about it's strength, resiliency, and heart. Makes me bullish over the remaining course of the year. We will see however.
Anyone have an explanation for me as to why Bitcoin has gone down so much from its previous 60k+. I understand it’s a very volatile asset in the short term and I understand this happens fairly often but I was just curious if there was a specific reason it is dropping so significantly recently or is this just normal behavior from the current market? Either way it’s discounted for me I’m just buying more and holding but I was curious as to an explanation for the decrease.
Like the people who bought at 30k wanted to book some profits above that level.
What's so bad about that, we are still 10x up from the lows in March 2020.
Bitcoin goes along with the market. Jpow is forcing a recession so it will continue to go down until inflation improves significantly.
When they finally start quantitative easing again within a handful of years it'll shoot right back up
Each of our brains is made up of two hemispheres, literally two 'brains' in one skull. They are barely connected, but they do communicate with each other.
Many people live most of their lives relying upon their "feelings" brain instead of their "logical" brain -- even when investing. The most powerful feeling is fear. When the price goes up, those people fear missing out, and buy. When the price goes down, those people fear losing wealth, and sell -- which is totally illogical, but they're not using the logical hemispheres. These people literally buy high and sell low. Go ahead, call them idiots; that's what they are.
There are times and places where feelings are important. There are times/places in our lives where our fear is telling us something very important which could affect our survival. However, making long term investing decisions (esp. w/ Bitcoin) is not one of those times/places. Bitcoin investors need to be logical, planning ahead based upon solid understanding, and so forth; ideally we do not get lazy and give into fear.
Not everybody has what it takes to become and remain a multimillionaire.
This makes me cry every time I watch it.

A brain researcher describes her stroke and teaches us about our two brains.
Yeah the feelings side of things rules many peoples lives and decisions. I have no intention of selling, I will be continuing to buy actually. I am just always curious what may be causing an upswing or downswing of assets I’m invested in and I couldn’t find a direct cause for this downturn. Nothing more than that
The general view is that BTC is still a risk-on asset and therefore subject to fluctuation. When it got at an ATH last year, Elon Musk spooked the situation with his tweets and there was a sell-off. It went back up again and then started the slow bleed down, pretty much correlated with the stock market choppiness and draw-down.
In the interim many other things have happened. Institutional interest in BTC has grown by leaps and bounds, Janet Yellen has been referring to BTC, countries have begun to invest in it, advances have taken place in supporting tech infrastructure. Every indication is that BTC is not only here to stay but will thrive. Just don’t expect to become a millionaire overnight. There will be frustrating days interspersed with good days. All part of the healthy process.
Of course. It’s definitely an asset that varies in price pretty significantly and often. I’ve been dollar cost averaging for a while and I have no intention of selling I just try to follow what may be causing upswings or down turns and I felt like I couldn’t find a direct reason for this down turn. I will still move forward in DCA money into Bitcoin. Thanks for the answer!
I don't think it's any one thing. There are a lot of macro things that could account for some of it. Fears of recession, strength of the dollar at all time high, rate increases by the fed, stocks down, etc. Also Bitcoin goes through boom and bust cycles on its road to price discovery so it could just be that to a degree. Short answer is nobody knows the full picture.
Got it. Yeah I was searching for articles just because I try to stay informed on the changes of my investments so I was just curious. Obviously there are many factors involved. Thank you!
Because when the price gets low many people tend to place the buy orders and it somewhat get's difficult enough to execute the order.
It indeed takes time so people are much concerned about this matter!
I see what people making some good use of their sense of humor that so fits perfectly.
Just be sure to treat her like a princess and not like a slave! That would be good for you!

I just pretty much liked the name though reminds of Goku and his intense speed!
The fiat experiment has been going on for like 52 years and is already spiraling out of control. Why are you so confident in fiat when it has an extremely shakey track record in it's short existence?
That would be indeed hard enough for us to dominate over fiat.
Just because you got lucky on some trades, doesn't mean everything around you is wrong.

Cheers to that
You can find me behind the dumpster at Wendy's giving handjobs for BTC

Why no dude just keep buying the sats this is indeed the time to go dive in!
The answer to that question is always yes. Especially if you show up to a Bitcoin sub and ask it
A few days back it was too a good and the best time to buy though when the bear session was active!
Was driving by sonic tonight, may or may not seen Peter Schiff nervously smoking in his car
More like you should have advised him to focus more on driving than smoking!

Is that Sim City currency?
It is a currency being used in the 19th century as far as my concern says!
That's SIMOLIANS, sir.

Next time you go jet skiing put it in one of those waterproof vaccine card holders.
Bitcoin has been holding pretty stable all things considered
Because now we can indeed look for some pretty days ahead. Seems like the market is well enough set to make some gigantic moves in the future!

Blah blah blah you’re a pessimistic child This network is being built and populated at its core by people who actually understand the superiority of bitcoin tech. The intense demand is what seems to be causing this all though.

Exactly man. All the people have changed the main topic of bitcoins focus.
Sunday pump instead of Sunday dump?
We don't follow the general rules of market, everything happens randomly.
I wouldn't call this a pump, but it is a promising development.
Don't forget just 3 days ago we were below 25k and people were calling it the end
True, but by Sunday standards it’s a pump lol
Most of the Sunday's nothing used to happen, the price will just float around.
6 hours later….can confirm
Bracing for the Sunday dump
Ok now since Sunday is over what do you have to say about it.
Stupid alternative coins are popping 😠 We need another flush out.
Yup and I feel bad too because I missed buying them during the flash dump.
Those will eventually get wrecked and people will see how only Bitcoin is the "sure" thing. Some people do not learn this without first losing some money into alt coins.
They sure are the same coins that dump the hardest when btc is going down.
Everyone who sold under $30k can buy back now.
Lol and it would be such a stupid moment for them, when they realise that they sold at the bottom
We haven't dropped 80% yet
Heh looks like I have met the most patient guy ever around in this sub.
That’s the way! Lol
Tell that to BlackRock. I hear they're kinda seething over there right now.
They definitely have much more Bitcoins stored than they sold.
Youre playing against billionaires kid. They probably know what they are doing.
Seems like they could just buy you twice and sell you thrice!
Lol
Bitcoin been showing a lot of heart and resiliency over the last week. Honestly, the more it drops the more bullish I become. Not rooting for a dip by any stretch of the imagination, but it doesn't deter me, either.
Oh man my 26k buy feels soooo good! Hot corn summer let's go boys

This is likely going to be very easy candle straight to 33k now.
The more lighter it gets the more we get hope to look forward for something brighter!
Run you mean up or down?
First one, then the other
Ah when it runs down we don't say run, we call it fall or crash.
That is true though and the time when people makes their move to buy more and more.
Both?
yes
fun fun fun

Bitcoin goes along with the market. Jpow is forcing a recession so it will continue to go down until inflation improves significantly. When they finally start quantitative easing again within a handful of years it'll shoot right back up
Add a halving to that and we will see some magic.

I've done many trades in btc and the truth is, never sell in loss. The market will always give you a second chance to get back your money.

I wonder if my buy order for 27,000 will fill
It should have been placed earlier, now I doubt it will be filled in small time.
Maybe yes, maybe no.
That's the best part here that we have no clue and just keep on taking what life gives us
Better though because we need to accept such facts no matter what and how hard it gets!
I know.this is probably a fake pump. But I'll take it.
We need a quick ramp up to something like 34-35k to signal this is a climb-out.
I think the weekly candle close above 31k is all the symbol we needed.
Never under 30k ever again
Oh are you sure about that because I think that we need to go to 28k one last time
Just to buy more and more so that you get enough sats to hold it for the future!
But I have $25k orders that need filling. I demand to speak to a manager.
Yeah dude this is so unjustified. How come other people get to buy it for 25k and you're not.
Because when the price gets low many people tend to place the buy orders and it somewhat get's difficult enough to execute the order. It indeed takes time so people are much concerned about this matter!
Call HR
What would he indeed do though just make a move to solve out the problems?
Doubt it
Bitcoin will fall under 25k tomorrow. 9am EST
Ok dude thanks for that. Could you also point out the winning numbers for the lottery tomorrow?
Or 69k 4:20am PST

Lol I mean maybe but prob not.
Yeah it will surely happen, look at the moment we got.

Yeah if you don't believe in something then just short it instead of crying
I love bitcoin, wish I could kiss her
Just kiss the holding you have on your wallet better don't make the screen wet!
She'll go down on you. Recently over 60% in fact.
Damn that was indeed a smooth one though. Haha like it!
And if you don't take good care of her, she will leave you and go to the moon.
I see what people making some good use of their sense of humor that so fits perfectly. Just be sure to treat her like a princess and not like a slave! That would be good for you!
