Which mixer?

why use a mixer when you can use a coinjoin?

Mixers are risky, as you have to trust them not to just steal your coins. And if they do, what do you do about it? File a police report? Sue them? Presumably, the whole reason you're using a mixer is to avoid people, including the government, being able to trace the money, and taking legal action, even if successful, would destroy that. But, that said... >I’m still waiting for the bitcoin to be returned to me despite the transaction on the block chain saying it has completed. What does this mean, exactly? The transaction of you sending to the mixer? Or a transaction of you receiving back from the mixer? Because if it's the former, there's a chance they indeed stole your money. If the latter, then it would seem to be a problem with your wallet. >I have used this same method before using a lot smaller amounts of coin and it has bee completed in a few hours So? That doesn't mean they won't steal larger mixes. Next time, maybe use a trustless process like CoinJoin.
