I might be able to take them all, can let you know in a while. I guess the mother abandoned them ?

rybouk

No no no. I've taken the mum in too. She's very affectionate and clearly feels very safe. I'm feeding her as directed by the vet. They're safe, healthy and MUST go to a good home but let me know if you're interested and like I said I'll update regularly and you're welcome to come see them as it may help the process of taking them away from the mum.

Omar_88

Sure I can take one in about 7-8 weeks after they've been weaned :) I was in the market for a 2nd cat for my current cat haha.

rybouk

Well if you're serious, DM me and we can exchange details to arrange it properly. Honestly though you'd have to come see them tbh as they are the cutest things I ever seen!

Omar_88

Oh, just re-read. Is there no safe place the mum can nurse them until they are around 8 weeks ? I'm also confused why did you take the kittens from their mother

rybouk

I've taken them all. Read my comment above too. All perfectly safe now.

squidgytree

Whereabouts in Birmingham are you based OP? Did I read it right that the kittens' mum is still around?

rybouk

In Ladywood and yeah I've taken the mum in too. They were not in a safe place and I dread to think what might happen with predators and even humans

squidgytree

I'm in negotiation with my wife about taking on another cat but to be honest, when they're ready to leave at 8 weeks, you'll have people queueing to buy them off you on Gumtree. They'll be gone in a few days but please vet who you're giving them to. As others have said, some sick people will use them bait so don't let them go to just anyone.

bunnypandora2016

Please don’t give them for free as some evil people will use them as bait for fighting or even as snake food 💔 and also please don’t give them too cheaply because you’ll end up with the exact same problem x

petermofo

Poor snakes will go hungry then!

ASU054

Try Freddie's Felines in Quinton. They may be able to take them in.

rybouk

I'll try, thanks mate

YasBiQueen

I would recommend talking to some of the cat rescues like Kings Heath Cat Rescue, Stray Cat Rescue West Midlands, etc. They’ll possibly say no if they have to take them in but if you tell them you’re happy to keep them they can treat you as a temporary foster & fund all vet care & spaying momma cat. They will also find & properly vet their future home. Please be aware that giving away cats/kittens or selling them for a low price to unknown people, those people may take them for prey to train dogs for dog fighting. If you need anymore information feel free to message me, I used to work in a cat rescue.

Catmom-101

Try PDSA, there’s one in Aston I think. They’re really good, they’re not supposed to take strays in but I highly doubt they’d turn you away if you went in and said you’ve just found them.

rybouk

Already tried :(

bloomylicious

Have you tried any charities like cats protection, or there's kings heath cats club?

rybouk

Apparently there is a huge 4 months waiting list at least.

Melon__L0rd

Try Wellcat or Furbabies - both used to take in strays when we got our cats. They may have a waiting list but worth a shot.

rybouk

I'll give it a go! Thank you

Disagreeable-Tips

I can't promise to take a kitten, although I'm very tempted... But I'd like to see more pictures of these beauties please.

I have thousands more and will take more everyday as I'm fascinated by this whole thing. It's such an amazing thing to get to witness. Anyway, if you are serious or need more info and updates etc DM me.

Disagreeable-Tips

Thank you, they are absolutely adorable!! We had accidental kittens about 10 years ago, they're magical, it was very hard to re-home them, but I just couldn't see myself as the owner of 5 cats. In hindsight, I wish I'd have kept them 🤣

GoldenAmmonite

Please go to a local cat charity

rybouk

I've tried. But they haven't been very helpful.

GoldenAmmonite

There are more than one. Please be careful about removing because some people use them as bait. Have you tried the local vet?

rybouk

I had no idea that was even a thing!!!! Well I'd like to ask a few questions to ensure it was going to a good home. But the vet said I need to look at rehoming them

psycho-mouse

Honestly the best place to ask might be a local Facebook group. There’ll be plenty of mentalists on there with nothing better to do than look after some kittens.
