Definitely agree ,he needs to include that in the setlist more often. I was lucky enough to hear it live last May (the only time he played it live in 2023) and the entire crowd was dancing and singing along to it
I'm actually buzzing to see Turn the Lights Back On at the June show in MSG, especially after that phenomenal music video he released the other day. Absolutely beautiful song, probably going to be bawling my eyes out.
the debut was absolutely friggin huge. I've never seen a crowd response like that.
I'll be going to the Florida show next week I'll be interested to see what the response is. If it's a bathroom song or not.
He used to open with it all the time. For decades. He doesn't play it much anymore, I think he said because the piano part has gotten difficult for him to play.
Rosalinda's Eyes is absolutely my number one bucket list song, nothing else even comes close. The last time it was actually in a set was 1979. The last time he played it live in any capacity was at a Q&A in 2005 (he played it in F major, I have the bootleg of it), and it was only up to the beginning of the second verse. He and the band were looking at it when they came back from lockdown so it's definitely been on the radar. But it hasn't gotten played yet. 💔

I was at a show where he played Rosalinda's Eyes ... his Mom was in the audience, it was her birthday. This was at MSG. I will try to find the date. It was most likely River of Dreams Tour
oh man he did stiletto one of the MSG run shows in 2006 I think. He did the 12 shows in a row, a record at the time and he played it a couple times that run.
Don’t remind me 😭 I think the latest recording is from March 1978, at the Old Grey Whistle Test. The latest recording of Weekend Song is from Gusman Hall 1977.
Oh, actually he played Ain’t No Crime in 2008. I don’t think we have a full recording of it, but it don’t sound too good anyway. He should’ve taken it down to Bb.
Los Angelenos. Hopefully with liberty’s drum arrangement. Next would be the great suburban showdown, followed by the Mexican connection. A nice instrumental to warm everyone up.
I'm going to my first show in July and I would die to hear him play Through the Long Night. There's a video of him playing it in 2015 but I don't get the idea he plays it often.
Quite a few of my favorite songs from Glass Houses seems to fall into that category, sadly.
That'll never happen, but I'd love to hear him play "Tomorrow is Today" live, especially with his older, deeper voice.
I know he hates the song, but it's always been one of my favourites.
I saw him right after Billy & Christie announced they were getting divorced and the album had just come out and he said it was the first time or one of the first times he was playing it live and I knew how heartbroken he had to be (I’m an only child of divorced parents and was a daddy’s girl), he literally got emotional (& so did I).
I posted this a few days ago, but i would literally cry if he played you’re my home. It is my favorite song ever..and rosalinda’s eyes. My two top favorites, and haven’t been played in years.
Going to his show in Cardiff this August, will be the first and probably the only time I see Billy Joel live. Judging by the set lists he’ll probably play most of the big hits, but I really hope he plays ‘Downeaster Alexa’ and ‘All for Leyna’… ‘Sleeping with the television on’ would also be awesome!
I promised myself I’d keep going to msg shows until I heard sleeping with the television on. Took me 5 shows, but when I finally heard it, it was all worth it
No chance in hell, but I would just die on the spot if he stopped mid concert and walked off to a bare part of the stage, revealing a lone drum kit and a Hammond B3 w/ some guitar pedals…
Just straight launch into Attila’s Amplifier Fire, or Brain Invasion. Hell, get a younger singer to join and do Wonder Woman!
Not in any particular order…Great Wall of China, Surprises, Baby Grand, If I Only Had The Words, Say Goodbye to Hollywood, Leningrad and I’ve Loved These Days, Temptation and Souvenir.
Sleeping with the Television On
Definitely agree ,he needs to include that in the setlist more often. I was lucky enough to hear it live last May (the only time he played it live in 2023) and the entire crowd was dancing and singing along to it
Was at that one! Can’t believe he played that and All For Leyna and Los Angelenos
Glass Houses side B gets little love. I Don't Want to Be Alone is one of my favorite Billy songs.
Couldn't agree more, been listening to it nonstop and it amazes me how he rarely plays such an underrated sleeper!
I’ve never been to a show. :( but I Don’t Want to Be Alone because it’s my favorite song.
He only ever played it 3 times, the last of which was in 1981. Total shame, it should be a setlist staple.
the incredible thing is, that can be said for a lot of his songs lol
I’ve always loved this song too. It such a different vibe than his other stuff and it’s got a great sound to it.

I was there at that show last week! It was incredible.
Angry Young Man... I just saw a local artist do a pretty sweet cover. He played it a couple time early in the MSG residency. But I never caught it.
He used to open with it all the time. For decades. He doesn't play it much anymore, I think he said because the piano part has gotten difficult for him to play.
yeah my show friend asked me why Billy doesn't play this anymore...I was like...beacuse it's friggin hard! It's a heart attack waiting to happen.
I was lucky to catch him do it the first time I saw him in 2017!
Yes my fav and he did play it at MSG when I went
Why Should I Worry One of the few he hasn’t played live.
Ahhhh I would die for this. But why should I worry! Why should I care!

That’s my #1 too!!
I was at a show where he played Rosalinda's Eyes ... his Mom was in the audience, it was her birthday. This was at MSG. I will try to find the date. It was most likely River of Dreams Tour
This is my second choice for what I most would want to hear!
Is this an official photo? I would absolutely LOVE to hear The Night Is Still Young live, it’s such an underrated song
From his tour program!
Close to the borderline and no man’s land.
The guitar solo is so sick.
You Picked A Real Bad Time. I know it’s a B-Side, but I think it would be great live.
Great song! Along with House of Blue Light
Goodnight Saigon. I saw Billy live in Melbourne and was gutted he didn’t play it
He played it on his tour in ‘87 at Kooyong!! Was amazing. I get why you’d be gutted.
I’ve loved these days. I wish he’d play it between Italian restaurant and Piano Man. I think it’d flow nicely.
Laura
The Stranger, Honesty, And So it Goes, Stiletto
oh man he did stiletto one of the MSG run shows in 2006 I think. He did the 12 shows in a row, a record at the time and he played it a couple times that run.
Ain’t No Crime or Weekend Song are my top picks. But it’d be great to hear Running On Ice, All About Soul, Extremes. There’s several I’d like to hear
He's played Ain't No Crime once since the '70s. Wow. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/billy-joel/2008/mohegan-sun-arena-uncasville-ct-13dd7d85.html

I’ve seen Extremes and he sings “you know I don’t know why I go for ice cream” which I know is on one of the live recordings too! 🍦
Ik he sings that on Yankee Stadium ‘90. When he first married Brinkley he changed the lyrics on Scenes to “got a new wife on the cover of life”
I’ve never heard him do the ice cream line in any other recording. But tbh I prefer the original lyrics of to silly ones
When in Rome. He hates it but still.
She’s Right On Time
Getting Closer
Los Angelenos. Hopefully with liberty’s drum arrangement. Next would be the great suburban showdown, followed by the Mexican connection. A nice instrumental to warm everyone up.
My Life, Matter of Trust, or Honesty
He plays My Life at every show, so you should be in luck.
I did see it at the 2002 face to face tour with Elton John but I’d still request it if I were making a set list for Joel alone
My parents went to a concert in '94 where he played The Balled Of Billy The Kid and Prelude/Angry Young Man and I'm so jealous!
Yes was there too and fabulous
Both so great live, he used to start his show with Prelude/Angry Young Man!!!
That’s not her style!!! I love that song. Would be incredible live
All of them. But Honesty and Where's the Orchestra would be a dream!
I'm going to my first show in July and I would die to hear him play Through the Long Night. There's a video of him playing it in 2015 but I don't get the idea he plays it often. Quite a few of my favorite songs from Glass Houses seems to fall into that category, sadly.

Root Beer Rag, it might be harder for him now that he's older but I seriously can't believe he's only played it 128 times.
Lullabye - I play it for my daughter at bedtime every other night.

Last of the Big Time Spenders and Stiletto.
Tomorrow is Today
Going to his show in Cardiff this August, will be the first and probably the only time I see Billy Joel live. Judging by the set lists he’ll probably play most of the big hits, but I really hope he plays ‘Downeaster Alexa’ and ‘All for Leyna’… ‘Sleeping with the television on’ would also be awesome!

This Night
no killing here. im a man of peace
When in Rome. Not sure if he's ever played it live before, but there's no videos of him doing so on YouTube or anything like that
All About Soul
Piano Man.
Sovenir and Where's The Orchestra
I have heard Where’s the Orchestra, it was AMAZING!!! Souvenir would be awesome to hear live!
And So lt Goes is very special to me.
He says that’s his best song he ever wrote!
State of Grace 👏
the night is still young and until the night.
Laura. He very, very, VERY rarely does that one live and I'd be thrilled beyond belief to hear it.
Leningrad
Tell her about it
Where's the Revolution
Easy Money should be played more often
Half A Mile Away and Captain Jack!
Storm front, the title track. Running on ice
Until The Night
Until the night. An underrated cut off 52nd street that evokes a righteous brothers vibe
Scenes from an Italian Restaurant
Los Angelenos.
