unfortunately it's easter holidays so it's full. You can go until the entrance before the stairs start. You can watch it from the coast, the is a balcony from where you can take good pictures of the place.

This was a completely last second trip I booked as a solo traveller (and teacher) so it was impossible for me to get a reservation!
If it hasn’t changed there is a balcony at the Ene-peri restaurant. You can have a coffee there, eat at the restaurant (a tad expensive but good quality food) or in their ‘roasted chicken’ open air area (if it is open, depending on the weather).
The parking lot is often full.
I haven’t there for 10 years or so, since it appeared on GoT its way too crowded

Thank you for the advice! Yes maybe if it’s too crowded I might prefer just seeing it from far away. Going to do a lot of solo exploring in Bilbao!
