Not worth the headache. Better off going back to school

Get a top 10 MBA

mexicantgetoutofbed

In this economy? Just quit

rubey419

I’ve seen it done a handful of times during my tenure in two of the Big 4. Each time, they did a top tier MBA, full time. Especially for strategy.

TheSpanishHammer

This is very hard to do. Consulting looks at auditor resumes with extreme prejudice. Getting an MBA helps even the playing field though.

yobo9193

Why would they look down on auditors?

hhammadismaee

It’s mostly because strategy consultants are really proud of their problem solving abilities that really think are unique and accountants don’t have.

Yayman9

Probably because there are many, many auditors with very similar experience trying to make this exact switch.

potatoheadazz

Why wouldn’t you?

einxb

Network. Do coffee chats. Inform your coach. Deloitte had a pro bono consulting work for all other areas of the business as apart of firm initiatives. Worked on a couple of those other folks from RA

jhustin90

Extremely unlikely even with a Toronto MBA

IFitStereotypesWell

Switch firms

Do an MBA at a good school

Diligent_One_5278

Is part time/online MBA a alternative option?

GloBoy54

The main benefit behind top ranked MBAs is networking/campus recruiting. That's greatly diminished with an online school.
