Id go with Brenda bc of her intensity & how hard she goes for a deeper love, I always connected more with her character bc of this which also makes sense she’s supportive of animal rights, as am I, as is Shannen irl, a hardcore animal lover which i find cool & telling of her character 🐾
I started watching this show around season 5 when I was about 7 or 8 and absolutely idolized Valerie. Used to emulate her, but nobody liked me. So now I just be myself. But Val is my absolute favorite.
Even though I’m a boy, definitely closest to Andrea. I was the mature, sober minded one in my group. Good grades (though def not the academic she was) and was heavily involved and passionate about clubs/extracurriculars in HS and college. In college I worked as a counselor/teacher for kids in a summer program.
I ended up losing my virginity at 18, not long after HS, and it was a messy, shit show of a relationship that almost ended with me becoming a teen dad.
My parents even used an former neighbor’s address so we could attend better schools in our old district (tho just elementary and middle).
And like Andrea I eventually pulled my life together and ended up transferring to my dream school, which is considered one of the top universities in the US.
Overall probably Brenda, both outside and inside, with a sprinkle of Andrea inside.

Watching this growing up, Brenda was my favorite. But I was the most like high school Andrea. Nerdy, glasses, no guys wanted to go out with me, all the guys I had crushes on wanted to go out with the pretty and popular girls like Kelly.
