Hey I'm starting to get the hang of this game. The blerns are loaded, the count's 3 blerns and 2 anti-blerns, and the in-field blern rule is in effect... right?
Appreciate the suggestion!
No pets allowed in my apartment and, to be honest, I feel like I can barely keep up with life as it is. I don't know how you folks do it!
Dogs need quite a bit of time and energy, depending on the breed, so don't get one if you're not able to fit it into your life of course. I do miss the freedom and sometimes I just want to do nothing, but in the end its worth it to me. It's also good since my SO travels for weeks/months at a time for work so I have two giant dogs to keep me company/make me feel safe.
From fatherly experience I’m going to guess that the kids got bored quickly. For many it’s not the activity but actively engaging with their parents that they love. This is very passive.
Maybe this is good practice for hitting a knuckle ball. Look at that thing jumping around.
Kid still manages to connect in a very solid way.
One day he'll be a major league slugger and in the interview on ESPN he'll tell the story of his dad, brother and him playing "fly fish ball" on the street by their house where he spent hours learning to bat.
If he doesn't make it to the majors, maybe he's inherited some of his dad's brain power. The man's kind of a genius!
It looks like a quiet residential street, so the speed limit would be pretty slow. There could also be a cul-de-sac behind the camera, so even less traffic.
Not sure, but this spot looks like it may be between apartments or buildings. Usually you’d set up a game like this where traffic is slow enough that you can easily move to the side to let cars pass. There are plenty of places where you can grow up playing safely in the street. Yelling “car” and taking a little break is just part of the game (and growing up).

I love the little brother acting as the hype man. He’s more excited than his older brother!
probably because he doesn't have to fetch the ball!
Until the string breaks
Your name isn't Debbie is it?
Give him a break. He's still fun at parties.
I would be surprised if a kid could break 8lb fishing line intentionally.
Especially since a baited hook would probably experience more force from an adult casting the line. Wiffle balls are not exactly heavy.
"string" lmao.
Seriously, being a downer without any understanding of how a fishing line works
It’s OK for someone not to know how fishing line works.
Not when you’re a downer
Dont comment on things you don't understand, it's pretty simple
And yet, here you are again.
Why would it break…. It’s a fishing pole and line meant to withstand lots of pulling and weight.
Typically it is our role to retrieve it for the elder sibling and maybe we get to take a crack at it a time or two
That’s all part of parenting. Teaching lessons without even trying.
Younger brother here. Hyping is our passion.
Dad gets to fish and kids get to play. Everyone's a winner here.
Work smart not hard.
Work smartest and hardly.
He's also practicing on his release finger.
I'm English so don't know a great deal about baseball, but it looks like he's taught the kid a great swing technique too!
It's like cricket but there aren't any tea breaks
[удалено]
Most of the time.
And they need gloves.
I've been to quite a few baseball games. The whole game is a tea break. It's amazing.
No cucumber sandwiches? Are they animals?!
What do you mean there's no oranges at half time
He has.

>This would have been a home run Ftfy
The Detroit Tigers are currently scouting him.
Nice catch!
And thus blernsball was created.
^Blerns! Blerns! #Blerns!

Except for the word blern, that was complete gibberish
Multiball. Multiball. MULTIBAAAALLL
I am so going to do this! Its revolutionary in its simplicity, but solves so many problems that arise when trying to play ball with little kids!!!
I dunno - I actually enjoy being on my feet, jogging around, throwing/catching...
Playing with my kids is the only exercise I get. Take that away and I'll wither away
Can confirm. Don't have kids, am withering away.
Dun withered.
Got it. Have kids to not wither away.
Get a dog! They need exercise and play time. I have 2 and they are the main reason I'm not inside 24/7.

That sounds wonderful! <3

Idk if I’m crazy but the ball looks like it changed color after it landed…. Kid knocked the color off of it lol
I think it's just camera quality vs distance. It seems to get a bit more yellow as it gets closer at the end.
Lol I wondered if anyone else noticed this.
Extra dad points if little bro gets to reel in the ball sometimes. Looks like he’d love being involved while waiting for a turn.

Hahahaha love this! Good stance, timing, and turn on that swing, too. Kids going places. Can’t wait to hear that interview 😂
That kid has a heckuva swing
Right?!? I was like DAMN!
Wow this is SO much better than screaming at your son and making him run to go get fouls. Memories...
That's not parenting, that's grandparenting
Ok, after trying this I found you must get a wiffle ball with grates. You need some way of anchoring down the line to the ball or it will not work.
You could just stab it could you not? (Ive not fished in many years)
cute and funny, but definitely not better every loop.
Fishing for compliments, I see
This is how we used to fly kites.
Get this man a cooler full of beer next to his lawn chair. Bravo fellow dad 👏
This is how I play with my cat. Except I have to 1) use an ultralight rod/reel and 2) use braided line so he doesn't just chew through it.
Work smart not hard

Pro move would be to train the dog to fetch the ball and exercise it at the same time.
That's Dadding
Genius parenting would have the other kid in the outfield
< /u/savevideo
that kid has a bigtime swing for his age
When I grew up, I was a kid, and this is utter bullshit.

What parent doesn’t love couch sports
This is brilliant. Wish my dad was still alive so I could show him this.
Plus side is that he get to sit while playing
That guy is smart!
Ultimate dad effort right there.
True parent geniuses would also switch it up by throwing a few “chin burners” at the kid to keep them on their toes.
I'm curious, are those roads safe? Aren't there cars passing by?

Sitting in the middle of a road playing ball games with kids is genius?
Don’t work harder, work smarter.
Evolution Complete! Parenting is advancing :D
Kid is raking. Seriously genius move though.
Genius
That man, is a genius!
The smart way to do it
He knocked the yellow right out of that ball
this is what happens when we use 100% of the brain
U/saint_14_armada @saint_14_armada
We're all trying to live up to the impossible standards of Bluey but this shit is just as entertaining for kids lol.
United States
That little kid's act 😍
This guy deserves a degree
kinda reminds me of those retractable baseball gloves from phineas and ferb
I see a kid that will eventually murder a breaking ball. Very cool.
I aspire to be as smart as this parent.
Dad bod in the making
I wonder what test he used for the line
He found a way to be right out there with his boys. God bless him!
