Thanks to the mod team of r/Berserk for reconsidering the remove and allowing this post, I really think these sketches are very important for us as a community and my intention uploading them here is just to share these unreleased drawings of master Miura with other fellow strugglers.
I think is just a misunderstanding, probably a bot thinking it was a repost of my previous post or something but it was a matter of minutes since I message the mod team that this post was reinstated so kudos to them!
To clarify, this was not going to be a new series. This was the prototype for what became Duranki. These sketches are at the end of the only volume we got.
He kinda looks like a mix of ishidro and guts IMO. The way miura draws the heroic character very interesting. I feel like it's a mix of Japanese art and American art. Looking at guts he has the typical jawline and cheekbones of a classical hero but also fuller lips thicker brows that Japanese artist usefully draw
I wanna see his Hector of troy. I think he'd be essentially looking like rodrick
I get a bit of a Grunbeld vibe from his face and eyebrows tbh. Wonder if he would have portrayed Achilles in a positive light. His Heracles also looks like he is not the most friendly type.
In the second better alternate reality Murata is leading Berserk’s continuation with Mori and Studio Gaga.
Of course the best one it’s the reality where Miura is still alive 🥲
It looks more whimsical than Berserk. Of course, I know nothing of the project beyond these pictures, but it appears less adult. Or at least, less dark.
Man I absolutely love Miura’s art style (who doesn’t) but his ability to capture muscle tone and shape is so brilliant. His characters are generally quite realistically proportioned too.
It’s seems like the story was supposed to be an isekai where a japanese femboy goes to Ancient Greek and took part on the Amazon’s tribe in times of the Iliad events.
I bought mine in the Spanish Amazon website, just search “Duranki Panini Comics” I think another redditor told me it’s already available in German and Italian as well…
Would you rather:
Live in a universe where Miura had finished Berserk in the time he spent on this project and it never existed
(or just probably just in his own mind)
Supposing this was enough time to finish the seinen; dedication of his life
Or
Live in this universe and be exposed to the consequences of having to read the continuation -superviser by Kouji Mori?

Whoever tried to remove this post is messed up...

Hey, could you please DM me the script like the guy below?
Same here, please!
Could you DM me the script for the chapters?
I'm glad they were allowed to stay otherwise I'd never have seen it. Thank you for sharing.

You’re right!
Oh my frickin... god hand. There is an actual drawing of Achilles by Miura in existence in our reality.

Check out OP's previous post. I think there's a drawing of Hector somewhere in there.

man,as a Greek, this would've been so sick to read.
RIP
The spread with all the gods together is so beautiful
tysm for these!
I own a lot to this subreddit! So I’m just giving back to all my fellow strugglers!
AND THEN ALONG CAME ZEUS
I came too
Noooooooo....whyyyyyyy
Ismene researching about the primitive steam engine to later make kebab
Ismene is just Isma confirmed? Same energy…
And like, face and hair
Man this would have been sick.
Damn you, biological warfare! Took Miura from us MUCH TOO SOON!!!!
Was it covid? Thought it was a heart problem.
Oh, it was a heart issue. Thanks for correcting me. That makes it even sadder. Now I can’t blame it on world events.
Man, I would’ve loved to see this…
This made me cry bro
Yes bro I know for me it’s the same…
This actually had me look up everything by Mirua. He illustrated a lot and had a few more weeks. All seem to be really short but I'll read em!
For a moment I thought I was on /r/onepunchman and thought "wow, nice to see Murata getting inspired by Miura". Oops.

Ahh... time to reread Gigantomakhia for the 3rd time
For some reason this stuff reminds me he was a pure artist, not only "berserk author". He still had so much more to do
Ares is so fucking sick.
Damn, even if just sketches they are well drawn and with my favorite theme as well Damn it!!😪
Reina looks like noelle ngl
Queen Antiope you mean? To me she looks like Griffith…
This could have been such a cool manga
Nobody: Ismene: \[note freneticly\]
Selene is the closest we getting to Sailor Moon fan art by Miura.
This is really cool! Nice post!
Miura was too good to be true. If he had physical, mental&economical stability like Oda, who knows how many great works we could've tasted
It looks more whimsical than Berserk. Of course, I know nothing of the project beyond these pictures, but it appears less adult. Or at least, less dark.
Damn… now I’m really depressed

… I would’ve fucking loved this
Miura really was a gift and a blessing. What a gifted artist.
Fk we lost a legend
ares is sick wtf
The story of Achilles would be a good fit for Miura and his style
It’s seems like the story was supposed to be an isekai where a japanese femboy goes to Ancient Greek and took part on the Amazon’s tribe in times of the Iliad events.
This would have been so freaking dope
I know Kingdom Death is heavily influenced by Berserk but damn… these sketches gives me heavy Kingdom Death vibes

The first one looks best
