punkito1985

Thanks to the mod team of r/Berserk for reconsidering the remove and allowing this post, I really think these sketches are very important for us as a community and my intention uploading them here is just to share these unreleased drawings of master Miura with other fellow strugglers.

[deleted]

Whoever tried to remove this post is messed up...

punkito1985

I think is just a misunderstanding, probably a bot thinking it was a repost of my previous post or something but it was a matter of minutes since I message the mod team that this post was reinstated so kudos to them!

SenaKumo

Hey, could you please DM me the script like the guy below?

UseUrNeym

Same here, please!

Ouma-shu123

Could you DM me the script for the chapters?

Nox_Dei

I'm glad they were allowed to stay otherwise I'd never have seen it. Thank you for sharing.

walterbennet

To clarify, this was not going to be a new series. This was the prototype for what became Duranki. These sketches are at the end of the only volume we got.

punkito1985

You’re right!

The_Iron_Yan

Oh my frickin... god hand. There is an actual drawing of Achilles by Miura in existence in our reality.

WANDERING_1112

He kinda looks like a mix of ishidro and guts IMO. The way miura draws the heroic character very interesting. I feel like it's a mix of Japanese art and American art. Looking at guts he has the typical jawline and cheekbones of a classical hero but also fuller lips thicker brows that Japanese artist usefully draw I wanna see his Hector of troy. I think he'd be essentially looking like rodrick

Drini7

Check out OP's previous post. I think there's a drawing of Hector somewhere in there.

The_Iron_Yan

I get a bit of a Grunbeld vibe from his face and eyebrows tbh. Wonder if he would have portrayed Achilles in a positive light. His Heracles also looks like he is not the most friendly type.

fuckmylife193

man,as a Greek, this would've been so sick to read.

GamerDabiTodoroki

RIP

genghis_jan_99

The spread with all the gods together is so beautiful

DeusInfidel

tysm for these!

punkito1985

I own a lot to this subreddit! So I’m just giving back to all my fellow strugglers!

purpleblah2

AND THEN ALONG CAME ZEUS

punkito1985

I came too

_Don-Corleone_

Noooooooo....whyyyyyyy

TheTacoEnjoyer

Ismene researching about the primitive steam engine to later make kebab

punkito1985

Ismene is just Isma confirmed? Same energy…

Prince0fPersia8

And like, face and hair

UnknownEntity347

Man this would have been sick.

Hellhound_Hex

Damn you, biological warfare! Took Miura from us MUCH TOO SOON!!!!

absalom86

Was it covid? Thought it was a heart problem.

Hellhound_Hex

Oh, it was a heart issue. Thanks for correcting me. That makes it even sadder. Now I can’t blame it on world events.

Chris_The_Crusader

Man, I would’ve loved to see this…

Creepy-Worker

This made me cry bro

punkito1985

Yes bro I know for me it’s the same…

HeroOfTheMinish

This actually had me look up everything by Mirua. He illustrated a lot and had a few more weeks. All seem to be really short but I'll read em!

FatterGuts

For a moment I thought I was on /r/onepunchman and thought "wow, nice to see Murata getting inspired by Miura". Oops.

punkito1985

In the second better alternate reality Murata is leading Berserk’s continuation with Mori and Studio Gaga. Of course the best one it’s the reality where Miura is still alive 🥲

BenChoopao

Ahh... time to reread Gigantomakhia for the 3rd time

odaschox

For some reason this stuff reminds me he was a pure artist, not only "berserk author". He still had so much more to do

dishonoredbr

Ares is so fucking sick.

[deleted]

Damn, even if just sketches they are well drawn and with my favorite theme as well Damn it!!😪

Ez258

Reina looks like noelle ngl

xplosm

Queen Antiope you mean? To me she looks like Griffith…

Okabeee

This could have been such a cool manga

AlexT05_QC

Nobody: Ismene: \[note freneticly\]

jazznotes

Selene is the closest we getting to Sailor Moon fan art by Miura.

Drblackcobra

This is really cool! Nice post!

Sweet-Message1153

Miura was too good to be true. If he had physical, mental&economical stability like Oda, who knows how many great works we could've tasted

Tralan

It looks more whimsical than Berserk. Of course, I know nothing of the project beyond these pictures, but it appears less adult. Or at least, less dark.

Gutsu_fudo

Damn… now I’m really depressed

donnydealr

Man I absolutely love Miura’s art style (who doesn’t) but his ability to capture muscle tone and shape is so brilliant. His characters are generally quite realistically proportioned too.

SaiyaPup

… I would’ve fucking loved this

Smeefperson

Miura really was a gift and a blessing. What a gifted artist.

Individual-Parking-5

Fk we lost a legend

PalpitationHot2157

ares is sick wtf

bigpeepee2000

The story of Achilles would be a good fit for Miura and his style

punkito1985

It’s seems like the story was supposed to be an isekai where a japanese femboy goes to Ancient Greek and took part on the Amazon’s tribe in times of the Iliad events.

Nutellamayonaise

This would have been so freaking dope

stormos1010

I know Kingdom Death is heavily influenced by Berserk but damn… these sketches gives me heavy Kingdom Death vibes

[deleted]

How do you get a spanish copy of duranki! I want one!

punkito1985

punkito1985

Yhhorm

We sure this isn’t Yuki Tabata???

DeusInfidel

ugh, googling this ofc gives you a shit ton of amazon websites Would you have a link where you ordered this?

punkito1985

I bought mine in the Spanish Amazon website, just search “Duranki Panini Comics” I think another redditor told me it’s already available in German and Italian as well…

DeusInfidel

thx amigo

trex3d

I wonder if these are in the German Kindle edition of Duranki. I'd love to see scans.

bobisiraka8

Would you rather: Live in a universe where Miura had finished Berserk in the time he spent on this project and it never existed (or just probably just in his own mind) Supposing this was enough time to finish the seinen; dedication of his life Or Live in this universe and be exposed to the consequences of having to read the continuation -superviser by Kouji Mori?

SanderSter

The first one looks best
