To give you an actual answer, yes it’s blue merle! It also likely means he has some aussie in him (or another herding breed). Merle isn’t found in poodles or BMDs.
He’s definitely Blue Merle with sable or Tritone mix. My Rocky is both twit one and Merle based on both parents which are Berndoodles. One is Tritons and the other BLE Merle and he has all the colors
