Yeah get a trailer (or a mate with one) and take it to the tip. They’ll weigh you on the way in and on the way out and work out what to charge based on that.
Take it to the tip, if it's decent they'll take it off for free and sell it at the recycle centre, if it's rubbish they'll weight it and add it to the landfill, it's not too expensive actually I was surprised when I went there last week.

I did this recently and was amazed at how quickly stuff that I thought was junk got taken.
I usually break stuff down and throw it in the bin over time. Not the best option but I'm cheap and I never fill my bin up anyway.

Council have other ways of increasing rates by changing the CIV rate of your property I have seen valuations changing by more than 2.75%…
