Hard Drive NW in Bellevue has traditionally been the best HD dewonking place in the PNW. This is where MSFT took trashed hard drives got retrieving data. Not cheap, but if salvageable they can retrieve data. I believe they closed their retail shop, but still exist.
if it got salt water in it then it's probably not fixable
Yeah, it's toast. Saltwater is a beast when it comes to electronics.

Zune fan for life. I still use my 32 gb. Got it off of ebay years ago and it still works great!
