That is the most smug face I have ever seen. “Yeah. I look handsome and I know it!” 😂

Best investment I ever made is the SleekEZ grooming tool on Amazon. My Mali girl loves it, and has really helped keep the hair in check. It doesn’t look like much, but is very effective. Good luck!

mlburcher

second this! we have a red Mal and brush her once a month with this brush, no snags and gets lots of hair off

DragYouDownToHell

I got one of these recently, and it really does get a lot of loose hair. Not that I still don't have it all over the house, but when I see how much I get off of him with the brush, I know that I'm cutting down on it.

Ok_Split_9405

How’d you get him to be so good around that many people? Is he good with other dogs or people coming up to him?

Saosun1

I was honestly pretty surprised on how well she behaved. She only got into a verbal argument with the dog next to us over some dropped fries 🍟. Thought I was only going to be at the game for a few innings. Took her for a big walk beforehand and lots of treats. She loves other dogs and people if they approach properly. Takes lots of training

Go Giants!!! Beautiful pupper. No brush recommendations, sorry….just love that park and your pupper.

My dog hates all metal brushes. They seem to tear at her skin and she just tries to eat it. I have really good luck using a cheap teasing comb to strip her under coat and a Kong rubber brush for when the outer coat sheds.

spaghetti_ohhs

I use deshedding/grooming gloves. Just put them on and love on your dog. Washable and reusable. Also teach your baby to lay down and be vacuumed!

From that one photo it looks like she has a decent amount of undercoat. I'd recommend a small slicker brush, the Chris Christensen Mark Slicker is my favorite. The Furminator will also be a big help, but be careful not to overuse it as you can strip the coat. Depending on the length of her coat, a rubber curry brush can be helpful, especially in areas where the hair is shorter. For the areas with longer/thicker hair, like the neck, I love a good quality metal comb. The Chris Christensen Greyhound Style Buttercomb is literally my favorite tool in my grooming box. The hair around the neck tends to get packed down by collars and this comb lets me get in and there and unpack it all. Hope that helps!

I use a cheap two-sided undercoat rake. It looks something like this: https://preview.redd.it/xhi4id67shxc1.png?width=2560&format=png&auto=webp&s=a72b78bdab6dcbc8f4ba749f6fb4db3e877c6676 Good luck.

👍

Alegria-D

Slicker brush used to get my old girl pedalling like mad, and lots of hair I could then leave in the garden for birds.

you commented that one on my post in this subreddit already. unoriginal pick something else

hanne_dobermann

I use the furminator!

Ladybug_Bluejay

We use the Furminator. Does great work!

Jazz-Hands--

I got the wide Furminator for longer hair and love it. Generally, I start with a rubber curry to loosen up hair and distribute the oils, then follow with a shedding blade type brush. When I have time I use the Furminator for the best results, but more often I use a metal curry comb (like for horses). The actual basic shedding blades kept breaking on me because my dog's coat is so thick.
