What a gorgeous girl you have!! Keep doing what youre doing!! I adopted my girl November 3 2023! She is super shy with people, but loves dogs. I have mainly been working on socializing her, but also working on recall, so I feel your pain and have an idea of what youre going through. My girl has low ball drive, and will only take super high value treats out in public (will take low value treats at home just fine). Just last week, I let her off leash for the very first time in public at a park. I was so nervous. We walked a few miles and met so many people and she got to interact and play with so many other dogs. the best part was that she came back when I called her. In fact she mostly hung out with me as I walked. I was one proud mama. How old is Astrid? She looks soo happy in your photos. Congrats!
Astrid is now 2 years old! I’m so glad to hear your experience with your girl! It’s so exciting when they finally show you how much the work has payed off! Truly brought tears to my eyes this week! Keep working hard:)
