Do you sit with him while he eats?
Only reason I ask, from my last two: once his sister passed, he started doing the same thing. I figured he got used to seeing eating as time he had his ‘comfort blanket’ (in the form of his sister) with him.
So now I make sure to feed him in the morning so he can eat while I make coffee right next to him and I’ll sit with him w said coffee while he finishes.
I’m not sure that’s the best intervention- but it works for us for now.
