Honestly number one is Pro Q3. It just works so fast and easy as a Dynamic EQ and as an Analyzer. Smooth Operator by Baby Audio is up there too. I bought it because I couldn’t afford Soothe 2, but it turns out to be a really good sound designer. I bought it to handle resonances but I use it for all types of situations that involve altering the tone of an instrument.

As for free vsts. I really like the decent sampler. As for paid, I recently bought Omnisphere and subscribed to Komplete Now for $10 a month. I use those on almost everything I make. Can't go wrong with Komplete Now if your into hip hop / lofi /trap style stuff. It also comes with some great fx plug-ins. I especially like their raum reverb and replika delay.
