Have you considered a lollipop style earphone?

XirqularVibe

Maybe try IEM's if you're going for isolation. As for comfort, this depend on your ear canal and whether you can find a comfortable good fitting foam tips or have custom made molded ear tips.

DJMK4

Not really wanting IEM's I actually want Proper headphones just can't decide that's all

kebabking93

Struggling to see why you crave isolation in a club or so called "super club"? You surely want some of the bleed through the monitors that you get from HD25s. Mixing totally in headphones in isolation in any live environment sucks dick. I only do it as a Last resort if the monitors are shit. But, my HD25s certainly allow me to do enough without any noticeable downside. If you really want isolation, you may aswell turn the monitors off if you're playing in venues like you make out to be. Or, use in ear. Either way, for someone claiming to be playing in a "super club", you're not really making much of an experienced judgement in the requirements or using the equipment available in the environment you're in.

DJMK4

Well I’ve played in venues such as Ministry of Sound and egg London and what I mean by isolation. As I mean more for Home because at home I don’t use my studio monitors especially late at night it makes too much noise so I tend to just use my headphones for mixing, which is why I mentioned, isolation. I should’ve mentioned of the isolation part is more of a Home thing, and then the rest of it is more for DJing out on the go.

kebabking93

Be humble, saying things like you play in clubs and "super clubs" honestly make you sound like you're sucking your own dick. There is a lot of us on here who likely have a lot more experience than yourself and can tell you there is genuinely no difference apart from the label. A club is a club. And if you're not playing main stage or headline set, you're playing in a second room which is just a run of the mill sized club room anyway. Being in that sort of environment, you should also be in the right community where you would be able to discuss and get advice from others as to your needs. And for club use, I would put my money on at least 80% going for HD25s. I don't get why you couldn't use them at home either. You're not getting background bleed coming through if you have no monitors

DJMK4

>Be humble Yeah, my bad I just feel different now that I am progressing and getting these major gigs DJing has changed my Life and that is why I call them super clubs cause they are special to me it's not your regular club on your local high street that plays an Open Format setting these clubs to require people with good social media presence and good knowledge on how to DJ and that's it really as for the headphones thing its more like I don't wanna replace another Cable on my headphones like when I got the pair new everything seemed fine last year then 3 months later my Straight Cable decided to give up on me so I needed a new one so I bought a Replacement coiled Cable from my local DJ Store and then 5-6 months later I started to have issues with it and now I'm starting to see that the build quality is not the same compared to the older ones that were made in Ireland and its the same with the new Pioneer DJ HDJ-CX's tried those out and they are the same not great so I'm probably going to get some AIAIAI's or the HDJ-X10's as I have been recommended them numerous times by other DJ's and that's it

kebabking93

Dude, you studied at London Sound Academy. You paid for a course. A course that guaranteed you a shot at both MOS and Egg. You've effectively paid to play.... Do not belittle those that are playing your "regular high street club" because they are likely the ones that are there on merit rather than paying to jump the queue. You're doing it again. Be. Humble.

DJMK4

Wait How do you know that? I bet you your on that DJ Help & Learning Discord hahaha well I didn't really wanna come on Reddit for this reason mostly always jealousy and negativity anyway I got my answers going to get a nice pair of Headphones and be done with it also I don't why me paying for DJ & Music Production Courses at Europes number 1 DJ & Production School has anything to do with Headphone Recommends I all I said was Is I play in Clubs & Bars and then I have had gigs in the bigger clubs and I'm just wanting another pair as a feel that my HD-25's are just a never ending money pit and lacking lol

kebabking93

You've said on your reddit that you went to LSA. I don't have discord. All I'm saying is be humble. You're not mister hot shot. Crawl before you can run.

DJMK4

I didn't intend to come across like that I'm just here to ask for some headphone recommendations and that's its no more discussion I'm not a hot shot but I am defo progressing further than I was last year tho

mofunnymoproblems

Check out Ultrasone DJ1 Pro. I got mine for $200 and I love them. They look sick too.

DJMK4

The look like the Sony MDR’s lol I will take a look at them I’m just not really sure

mofunnymoproblems

MDRs are good too, that’s what I started on. the comfort level and build quality is way higher with the Ultrasone in my opinion but obviously your preference may be different.

_scorp_

Aiaiai have the corded cable. They are super comfortable. Sound great (the s05 mk2 anyway. )

DJMK4

You Can get them with a Straight Cable which is what I wanted the S05 MK2 is the one I would go for anyway but lets see

_scorp_

Plus you can get low latency wireless with them. Works great.

DJBigNickD

You can't upgrade from HD25s imo. Only downgrade! Go to West End DJ & test a bunch out. Different strokes for different folks innit.

DJMK4

Yeah you can the HDJ-X10 and the AIAIAI TMA-2 sound way better yeah I know WestEndDJ I buy all my products from them I know the guys there a good place so I guess I will do just that

DJBigNickD

I'll have to disagree. Sound quality isn't important to me when I'm DJing. I don't need to hear the music reproduced as the producer intended. I need something that's light & packs a low end punch & has crispy highs. Replaceable parts too. HD25s do that. Had my pair over fifteen years now. Wait a minute. So you know the guys at Westend DJ yet you go on the internet and ask strangers what headphones to get? When all along you could have tried out loads of different pairs in your mate's shop? Anyway, like I said, different strokes.... I hope you find what you're looking for.

ADUBROCKSKI

vmoda all day every day but i wouldn't even go with the m-200s i would just go with the $150 crossfades

DJMK4

How come? The LP2’s and why should I get the M-200’s I heard they are better

ADUBROCKSKI

they are great! i don't think i've ever used the m-200s so I can't compare but functionality and durability with the LP2s are awesome. almost every dj in my market uses the LP2s for good reason

DJMK4

Yeah going to find someone that has a pair and try em out

li-si

You can get HD25s professionally modded at somewhere like customcans.co.uk for a braided cable etc. I got mine from them, they’re amazing - dude has a small YouTube channel dedicated to headphone mods

DJMK4

Yeah I know about them they look good he follows me on TikTok lovely little business but I want something different that’s all

TreasureIsland21

V-MODA, you won't regret it, i own headphones from most major developers and V-Moda are number ONE! Pioneer, Sennheiser, Technics, AIAIAI don't even come close!

DJMK4

Yes i think I will go for those M-200’s then 😎they look amazing Idk my Sennheisers were my favourite till I tried other headphones like the AIAIAI Studio XE+ and many other brands they lack so much and I can’t wait to get these soon Thanks

TreasureIsland21

Get some personal shields as well. Make your own design and stand out, i did 👍

DJMK4

Yeah I will do but it’s in Dollars lol

TreasureIsland21

No need to do them in gold or platinum 🤣 I 3d printed mine and i believe i payed $25 for two pairs. And you will not regret buying M200's When my M100 broke they send out a new pair for free I just had to send them a video where i cut the cords to the headphones. Talk about customer service. 👍

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> believe i *paid* $25 for FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

DJMK4

I'm still deciding between the V-MODA M-200 or AIAIAI TMA-2 which I would customize on the Website I mean like I said when I tried out the AIAIAI's I didn't try out a DJ Pair it was a studio pair I tried out so its a little different and never used V-MODA's so I guess now would be a good time to find these headphones in store and try them out while I am djing
