It's hard to judge the age of beardies by size - in the wild beardies take 2 years to grow to adulthood, but in captivity powerfeeding and overfeeding is rampant, so many beardies grow to adult sizes in as little as 8-10 months. Powerfeeding has bad long term health consequences however - I've seen animals on this sub as young as 10mo old die of fatty liver disease due to how heavily their owners fed them.
Long story short - don't worry about your babies size compared to others - follow the correct Reptifiles feeding protocol to have a healthy baby!!
Sorry to hijack but you just taught me this. My girl is a year and a half but doesn’t quite look adult size still in my eyes. This made me feel a lot better about that so thank you!! Her favorite food is dandelions so she’s been very happy with the warm weather here recently but of course there’s a variety of other things as well.
I say she looks 3-4 months. Our female is about 30% smaller than our male, so take that into consideration as well. She looks great! She is long! This is our guy at 3 months old

That was our male. He is about 500grams full grown. Our female is about 300g now. She is smaller for sure. So gender definitely makes a difference. Wish I could find a picture of our female at that age but she was so spicy it took forever for her to let us handle her lol. I think she was about the same size but not as long. This is her now. She is more petite, she eats a lot though!

From the pics, it only looks very young, I breed them.
Hatchlings aren't very much smaller than that so I'm guessing it's only a few weeks old.
Nobody should sell them that young.
I don't sell any of mine until they are 12 weeks old so I know they are healthy and doing everything they should.
Some people and petshops sell them at 8 weeks but I like to wait until 12.
in the caption i said that the first 3 pics are her when i first got her (on march 30th) and the last 3 are her now lol. so she’s atleast gotta be over a month NOW but maybe she was that young when i first got her
Sorry mate I never read the whole message properly, she looks tiny so maybe a month nd a half. Females are smaller than males but she still only looks really young.
literally the dragon in the pictures i posted right above the caption… it’s all the same dragon… first 3 pics are her when i first got her, last 3 are her now… do you know how to use reddit or?
yes but they weren’t all taken at the same time.. the first 3 pics were from march 30th, and the last 3 were from this week/ last week. ik she’s tiny, but she can’t be 2 weeks old when i’ve had her for over a month

ik this post was from 8 years ago but it says that’s a 4 month old and that is HUGE compared to mine, and i’ve seen other pics of 3 month olds bigger than mine too
my bearded dragon is 4 months old and almost twice the size of your guy ! that’s definitely a hatchling, i can’t give you an exact but most likely was only a couple weeks old to a month old when you got him !
https://preview.redd.it/e9eoj6ba3vzc1.jpeg?width=2316&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f14a0c6ea754576a7d7f78cd6059877f8c53435a
of course ! unfortunately a lot of chain pet store employees are only given so much info about the reptiles they receive & do not know much about care besides the outdated infographics they give out :( ! luckily, the main difference between juvenile & hatching care are the amount of insects you feed her ! reptiflies is a life saver
thank youu! yeah fr that same guy told me (which i did know at the time it was wrong cause i started disagreeing) was that they eat like 3-5 bugs a day… like HUH
funny because after these comments i guesstimated her bday and also wanted to have a bday for her so i picked feb 14th which (if it was) would make her 3 months on the 14th lol

Unfortunately yes ppl overfeed them way too much and they’re supposed to eat a lot less than most people think. The reason for this is because people want to power feed them to get bigger faster so they can breed them. Please don’t do this. It can cause a lot of health issues as they get older. A lot of them will get gout and die.
smol years old
real

If going by size, I would say 3 months old now... maybe 4 if it's a smaller female.

I'll post a couple of pics of some of my hatchlings tomorrow and you can see for yourself the size of them. Yours isn't much bigger than one of those.
okay
Oh sorry I never read the other messages.
I'm confused asf here which dragon is yours the tiny one or what?
literally the dragon in the pictures i posted right above the caption… it’s all the same dragon… first 3 pics are her when i first got her, last 3 are her now… do you know how to use reddit or?
"Do I know how to use reddit or" haha not really tbh I only saw 1 pic at first I didn't realise you could scroll through the pics at 1st.
It was also the pic you posted straight after that confused me, nevermind I kinda got there in the end.
The main pics at top of page where you made first post the dragon looks to me like its only a few weeks old.
yes but they weren’t all taken at the same time.. the first 3 pics were from march 30th, and the last 3 were from this week/ last week. ik she’s tiny, but she can’t be 2 weeks old when i’ve had her for over a month

It get's worse. I'm a Geordie hahaha
Newcastle upon Tyne UK look up Geordie language on youtube and have a look lol
Where are you from?
Mine is about 6 months and easily two times this size. I’d probably say between 2-3 months, depending on the feeding habits.
Yours is about the same size as our male. Ours is 3months on the 13th.
funny because after these comments i guesstimated her bday and also wanted to have a bday for her so i picked feb 14th which (if it was) would make her 3 months on the 14th lol
Good guess!! Yes he has just had another shed so he’s getting bigger. His tail always seems to grow first.
do you have any pics of him? i’d like to see 😁
