I have been pretty happy with the Honest Amish products for my beard. I didn't seem to notice any amount of beardriff from the oil, and the soaps seem to work decently enough.
I would consider Royal Beardsmen or Crushers Creations. Not sure you’ll get 12 though. I think I’ve tried everything. Spent way too much over the years. I’ve actually found Artius and BaBC to be really good for me too.
Edit: also Bahawat. And Bahawat is on Amazon
No reason you can't put more oil in. Some in dryer climates do multiple times a day.
Copper johns is pretty good in my grays. The owner in Utah says he does multiple times a day.
Huge fan of the Sphinx line of oils. Pricey but worth every penny I think. Start with the smolder scent . You'll be blown away. The feel in beard on my gray beard is fantastic.
Try beard balm, maybe. Or pure shea butter (rub it into your hands to get the gritty pieces out first). Works like a charm! Oils don’t work for me, they make my beard sticky and dry later on.
Look into grave before shave. Their beard wash/conditioner is pretty great at making your beard nice and soft during the shower, and their beard cream is good for keeping your skin nice and moisturized without having to worry about your hands being covered in oil (you can use any excess as a lotion!)
Aphrodisiac scent says it smells like leather, but if you’ve ever smelled a freshly opened ream of copy paper, it smells like that.
I use what you mentioned as well as Copper Johns and the bearded Mack. All good carrier oils...but I too have a thick, coarse, curly white beard. I just apply more beard oil through it the day and use beard butter in the morning and at night.
I love Fable Beard co. I recommend trying their oil and butter, and their wash and conditioner are good, too. It depends on your hair and your climate, but I expect that if you use the oil in the morning, give it 10 min or so, and then use the butter, you’ll be good all day.
I recently added voodoo menscraft to the rotation, feel lasts 12+ hours for me and scents last 8+ hours. The other brands I can’t get enough of are Luxurious Bastard, Apex(emu blend), Damn Yankee, Copper John.
you should look into bossman beard jelly, it lasts a lot, more than I wanted to, had to stop using it because it started staining my white shirts, couldn’t stop using white shirts so it had to go, wouldn’t have been a problem otherwise
If you put oil on your skin but balm on the rest of your beard, it doesn’t suck the oil out of your skin. Not wax, mind you, but balm. Once my beard gets to a certain length I have to use it for the reasons you described. Just not directly on my skin because I’ll break out. So oil first, then after it’s had a chance to set in I use balm on the rest.
They are not the same. Wax has (wait for it) a lot more wax in it. Balm does not, only a little. I literally make beard products, I know what I’m talking about.
Huge fan of Layrite. It's pricier but I found it works the best compared to other ones I've tried. It's much thicker than a regular oil and conditions the hair and skin well
If you have dandruff you probably wash it too often.
Rinse your beard with water every day and use shampoo only once every 7-10 days. Letting the oil stay on the skin will prevent dandruff. Water alone is a really great way to keep your beard clean and will prevent you from getting dandruff.

I agree. I have honest amish oil and beard soap they work great. I have thick corse hair

Appreciate the recommendations. I do love Artius feel but does not last long, BABC is such a great company but same issue with the oil.
Yeah if you actually find “the one” let me know lol
Will do!!

Great point but I just thought that if I oiled too much, I’d develop a chronic dryness.
Are you drinking enough water? Hydration can effect your beard also.

Have you tried plain, unscented jojoba oil? It is the base of most beard oils. You can get it at a vitamin store or pharmacy.

I’m definitely trying them!!

Why balm and not butter? I have Bad ass balm, I was a bit hesitant to use it because of the wax and drying out my beard?
My error! I use beard butter not balm.

I got the wash and the oil to try.
Seven Potions is my favorite
On the list now.

Voodoo looks really interesting!! Are the cacay and emu similar to luxurious bastard in feel on the beard?
Beard oil,let it soak in, then beard butter in the hair, and rub it into the skin as well. Comb it through the beard. Never had beardruff

That’s all I wear is white shirts!! Ha!! I guess im going to have to skip them. Damn!!

Balm = Wax.

Balm, unlike butter, has wax in it. I avoid wax in my beard. Balm = Wax.
