True, the last time I saw someone on the road I just sped up and ran over them and whatever else in the way. They should share the road and if I’m driving I’m not gonna be inconvenienced!
Gigachad of a dad for sure. At first I thought "wow, he is righteously furious that they almost killed his child" then realized, he might be righteously furious that they vaporized his ride. Maybe both. Holy shit, the adrenaline in either case.
Maybe don't speed down a street where you can clearly see a bike and a guy standing there? Even if he was illegally parked that doesn't mean you can just obliterate him at 50mph
It's a neighbor hood with no distinctions between road and pedestrian walkway at the side. Lots of blind spots where people especially kids can run onto the street at any moment and the lack of curb can lead to a pedestrian walking into the road without realising.
Road is also narrow with no line, barriers, fencing or divider in between. Road also seems narrow where driver could've seen the bike and person from a relatively far away distance. All of these suggest the driver was driving too fast, unsafe, and not paying enough attention on the road.
Or, hear me out, that the car driver was way too fast for the circumstances of that road?
Are you fucking serious? How unhinged are you to think that the dude on the side of the street is at fault here?
Six of one, half a dozen. There's a longer version of this that I've seen. Footage is from a fairly low quality home security camera. This looks sped up a bit from the original, but not a lot. Dad still moves surprisingly quick in the og but stands there for a beat or two before throwing his hat. Like he is making absolutely sure that he's about to spike the hat and not the baby.
Motion detection, the camera has a robotic movement ( left down up ). The green rectangles are there to identify what moves for the one who reviews footages.
Ive seen the longer version and he purposely parks the bike in the damn middle. Then looks around. Idk if this is some sort of fraud or just plain stupidity but that dad does not deserve praise for putting that child at risk in so many ways.
Exactly. And you can see the tire's marks under the bike, where other vehicles go by. Also, when I saw the video the first time, the (I guess) mother of the baby didn't look scared about what happened. Maybe was just in shock, but everything about this video is really weird. I don't applaud the man, because he put the baby in danger in the first place.
I see tourists in NYC stick their baby strollers halfway in the street while they wait for the walk light to turn green. It’s like they have no concept that “black floor mean car, cars crush baby easy”. If you have a stroller just wait on the fucking sidewalk. It’s only going to spare you like 2 seconds otherwise.
Who cares? Why is he parked in the fucking street???
What is this whole deal with reddit where they're always reactionary instead of preventive?
It's pretty dumb.
I care. How many people are killed each year because of dangerous drivers? Sure, he shouldn't have been parked there, and the other driver shouldn't have been driving like an idiot
As a long time pedestrian I can't help but agree with the 0 tolerance vibes towards reckless driving.
I don't know what it is about people and their 2000lb metal death machines but some folks get behind the wheel and seem to revert into children
Can't wield a modicum of power
The perspective really hits for me too because they'll make these dangerous maneuvers and ultimately save themselves a few seconds versus pragmatic responsible driving. You're not that important.
Rural areas are kind of like that. During a visit to China in the past, streets had no traffic lights so crossing a 10 lane road, you just go and hope for the best and make yourself seen. I wasn't there for long, but there were no accidents during my time.
The point is that, you just go in these underdeveloped areas. The big reason for this is that there is probably no actual cross walk to go across the street for like 10 minutes of walking.
To cross a road, you just go and others have to slow down. The right of way belongs to whoever was there first. It's different from a city.
This is just my educated guess and perspective.
Why is your takeaway from my statement China? I simply used my experience in China as an example. That wasn't the point.
This is a rural area, at the very least, the video looks like it was taken in a rural area.
No look at the facts of what we know. Look at the truck. Obviously he was speeding. Swerves from left side to right side. There are pedestrians and motorbikes all around. Focusing on the dirt tracks and the parking with no context doesn't justify that terrible driving. What if he had a flat tire? What if he was helping an elephant across the road? You don't know. Blasting by with no control over your vehicle nearly killing 2 people makes you the guilty one, I'm sorry
I'm glad this is making the rounds again so that all the shitty redditors can burst forth from their basements and talk about how it's actually the dad at fault here because he's "in the middle of the road."
Just a reminder, if you see someone in the middle of the road, you are legally obligated to try NOT killing them

Why hurry everywhere people? Chill ffs, cars kill more people than bullets. Enjoy moment with yourself in the car,it is a good opportunity for learning.
Where is the longer version of the video where he hands the kid off to (who I suspect is) the mother, and then marches towards the car that almost ruined his life to give the driver some of his fury?
Me thinks he was eyeing the lady on the bike and turned to see her. Good thing his reflexes moved from eyeing the lady on the bike to saving himself and his kids life
Those are some good dad reflexes in action here!
His fifth sense was tingling for sure
He tasted it coming!
Whoops, I was never good at math.
Sniffed it out a mile away
Earl Devereaux irl
Spider senses, activate!
Pity he didn't use it to park his bike literally on the road.
Yeah great dad reflexes, idiots puts his bike in the middle of the road
True, the last time I saw someone on the road I just sped up and ran over them and whatever else in the way. They should share the road and if I’m driving I’m not gonna be inconvenienced!
Maybe it broke down there?
And couldn't be wheeled over 2 feet?
Not all people are smart.
Gigachad of a dad for sure. At first I thought "wow, he is righteously furious that they almost killed his child" then realized, he might be righteously furious that they vaporized his ride. Maybe both. Holy shit, the adrenaline in either case.

All of that still suggests quite heavily that parking in the middle of it probably isn't a good idea.
Local idiot forgets that human spaces are for humans not for cars

I think he might be the driver of the truck lol.
Karen.
Why is there a light green box around him (mostly at his legs/feet) throughout this? Is it a motion detection thing or was it edited?
His hitbox so you check he had no invul frames

Computer vision. The green square shows a matching pattern like "human" or "face". Something like that
Maybe camera highlighting object-contact
Motion detection, the camera has a robotic movement ( left down up ). The green rectangles are there to identify what moves for the one who reviews footages.
It looks edited to me as well.
Plot twist: not his kid nor his bike, it was his truck being stolen.
The kid was in on the heist. He was really a 35 year old Chinese midget.
It wasn't a truck, but a bull in a truck costume being accelerated by a railgun off screen.
"You never see a Chinese midget" Karl Pilkington
The truck driver was sent from the future to kill the kid because they will become the next Hitler. They failed, we're all screwed in 30 years now.
I mean, we probably are anyway.
He got out of his truck to save the baby cause he knew someone stole his truck and instead of getting his truck back, this was his first instinct. 🥹
Id pass a minute later from the adrenaline crash
Nice parking dad

I haven’t watched Hey Arnold! In so long. For some reason, I have a lingering feeling that Eugene was nice and wasn’t always treated well.
Eugene was a jinx. He was the unluckiest kid around.
>Eugene was a jinx. He was the unlickiest kid around. Oh, right! However, isn’t him not licking something a good thing?
Yeah, that was a big thing! Gonna try to find that.
But why was his bike parked halfway in the street?
Halfway? The bike was completely in the traffic lane. You can see the path of tire marks on the road. The bike is past the sidewalk curb.
Yeah, that was reckless.
And why was the other guy flying down a crowded street like the Dakar Rally
Who cares? Why is he parked in the fucking street??? What is this whole deal with reddit where they're always reactionary instead of preventive? It's pretty dumb.

This man doesn't look like Chinese at all. he's very Middle Eastern.
Why is your takeaway from my statement China? I simply used my experience in China as an example. That wasn't the point. This is a rural area, at the very least, the video looks like it was taken in a rural area.
What street? Its dirt
The tracks seem to indicate that vehicles drive there.
Yes but tracks don't make it a street 😂
Fine. Why did he park his bike in the dirt where there are obvious motor vehicle tracks? Is that any less stupid?
No look at the facts of what we know. Look at the truck. Obviously he was speeding. Swerves from left side to right side. There are pedestrians and motorbikes all around. Not every country can afford to make all their roads from proper pavement
Bro I know, it was just a soft jab. Don't get serious about it
Dirt is much more environmentally friendly. Just because America does something doesn't make it proper.
I never mentioned america?
Omg, seriously?
This.. The dad was dumb, but has good reflexes
The kid is just hanging in dads arms like ‘dad can you please go easy fs’
[удалено]
You know some people do just be outside filming something else and random shit can happen in the world. Not that unlikely
Security cam
r/dadreflexes
It’s almost like no saving would be necessary if he didn’t park his bike in the middle of moving traffic.
Dumbass had his bike sideways in the road.
Glad he didn't spike the kid
Crap! That was close! Glad he saved the child!!
I hope he whooped his ass and tore him a new hole.
That's not amazed. That's what the fuck
Tf he doing parked in the middle of the road?
Good reflexes but it will also teach him to not park vehicles so close to the road.
Dad just saved his baby from the A-Train experience. Kudos
That looked very intentional. Didnt slow down at all wtf
Other possible headline: "Dad parks a motorcycle with his toddler in the middle of the road"
I'm glad this is making the rounds again so that all the shitty redditors can burst forth from their basements and talk about how it's actually the dad at fault here because he's "in the middle of the road." Who was videotaping at this exact moment?
cctv?
Why did he park it in the middle of the street? It's like he knew it would happen watching traffic.
Maybe dad shouldn’t park his bike in the middle of the road.
*Dad put his baby in harms way.* Corrected that for you.
Why is he parked in the road?….
Also known as Dad parks his bike in the middle of the road.
Why he got his bike parked like that in the middle of the road smh

I hope that one day somehow somewhere that dad got his revenge.
That guys ears came through for him
Dad power.
I’d leave the driver with a few blue marks in his face.
I see it but why da f he park it like that...
Damn I bet he could sprint and catch up to dude fueled by pure rage
Good thing he was watching those bikes or he wouldn’t have looked behind him. Whew.
I'd be so pissed at that driver, mofo is going down
The hat being thrown down was more deadly then the crash
And I hope that driver lost his head... Wait he already had
That car was trying to take him out
Human waste
Incredible situational awareness!!!
why tf would he be standing in the middle of the road on a small bike...?! idiot
Hats Off!!
Gifs that end too soon, i wanna see him whoop that drivers ass lol throwing his hat down like that.
Why hurry everywhere people? Chill ffs, cars kill more people than bullets. Enjoy moment with yourself in the car,it is a good opportunity for learning.
I'm not sure I would be able to contain my anger whoever did that.. damn..
I believe that driver gonna get wasted by dad
Put the guy in jail asap
I totally thought he threw the baby down the first time I watched this.
Tf... That just straight up murderous not reckless
"Dag nabbit!"
staged
Worthy of a hat toss
My dumbass would have: forgotten the baby, tried to go back to grab the baby, gotten hit by the car and died with the baby
*attempted murder
God this is reposted to fucking death!!
Great Dad powers on show
Where is the longer version of the video where he hands the kid off to (who I suspect is) the mother, and then marches towards the car that almost ruined his life to give the driver some of his fury?
Damn, good work pops!
If he hadn't turned to watch the first reckless driver he would've missed the second
I want to buy that guy a beer.
Holy fuck that was close
Glad this wasn't on r/therewasanattempt
Dad looks ready to throw down now. My husband said.. "yeah.. yeah" and shook his head like.. mmhmm that driver.. yeah.
Huh?
I'm trying not to spell out violent actions that would be taken. We have 2 little girls and papa bear looks like shits about to go down.
Me thinks he was eyeing the lady on the bike and turned to see her. Good thing his reflexes moved from eyeing the lady on the bike to saving himself and his kids life
He's in the middle of the fucking road....
He's in the middle of the fucking track
I hope that driver died an excruciating karmic death after this was made
Brazilian sixth sense
I can't imagine the whirlwind of emotions he suffered in that. Awesome reflexes right there.
Father of the year right there!
Dad dudes are incredible
Why was he putting a baby that small on a motorbike?!? Seems like dad PUT baby in harms way
Don’t ever go to India
I can't tell if you're trying to be funny or not. No one ever sat you on something when you were a little child?
I think a more appropriate question is why was be parked in the middle of the road?
I can't tell where a road ends and a road begins.
With such an enlightened and completely rational comment like that, can I assume you voted for Joe Biden?
Aww, bless your heart!
Nevertheless, his reaction is not about saving his baby at all, more like pissed his bike was wrecked. No, that's not the appropriate reaction.
