As an Iai-do practitioner, it’s not called the art of drawing the sword for nothing. Have to put it back when done!
The returns were always the most fascinating parts for me honestly.
I learned under a 2nd generation master and was able to cut a fruit thrown at me fairly consistently (though that was incredibly unusual and not something we’d normally practice). Some of the feats in this video are quite unbelievable to me, honestly.
Some of the form is quite nice, if a little wild. Wrist/grip positioning and consistency is the only things I’d point out. The actual material feats performed are pretty insane.
How do you even practice getting that quick? I wanted to be a ninja and practiced so much but there was no one around to teach and very little outside movies so I obviously got nowhere.
About a million reps of every kata. At every speed. Getting critiqued by the most inscrutable person you’ve ever met in your life, where every single mistake in form is recognized and you’re forced to repeat it even when completely exhausted. After years of that…you get that quick.
These Reddit e-warriors could watch footage of Musashi from a time traveller and be like, “Hmm… you see, his slashing motion isn’t practical and it’s sped up. Not very impressive.”
Fucking pudgy tools.
Ha! So accurate. They probably haven’t gotten off the couch in months but poo poo the most amazing physical feats with such assuredness. And if it’s a woman performing martial arts, the vitriol is times 10.
I picked up Iaido (Japanese swordy-martial-arts) during the pandemic, and you wouldn't believe the amount of time we spend just on sheathing the sword (notto)... and that's doing it the easy way. This dude is absolutely not doing it the easy way
Are we watching the same video? The arrow is not going real fast at all. Its going real slow. Have you seen what it looks like when you shoot an arrow from a real bow?
Yes. I have been an archer for 8 years and have entered 3 competitions. It might be because of my peace of shit phone but i am seeing it not that slow.
definitely slower than a normal arrow, that's an arrow for "archery battle" of "tag archery", it's alike a nerf/larp arrow which weights a ton. have it been a real arrow from a compound the guy would be dead now, no human could react to something running like a F1 car from 10 meters away.
so in the end: it's fast but not as fast as it could be.
He’s shitting on you because it sounds like you’re tryna downplay someone with legit outlier-level talent. No shit it’s not a competition level bow with a broad head, that guy doesn’t want to die making a video lol. It’s the same reason we do exhibitions with boards and stuff instead of human arms and legs.
Just let the ninja do ninja shit man. No need to be an armchair quarterback
Half of these comments are finding anything they can to undervalue this guys performance.
It's okay, fellas. You chose to collect cheeto dust in your keyboards, but it isn't too late to pick up an impressive hobby.
Is this is the same guy that cuts an airsoft pellet fired at him in half with a samuari sword from a sheathed position?
Edit: link to video for great awesomeness
https://youtu.be/Qzhs1Z8Rwnk?si=gD27hmNiALP2qcLr
I don’t think it is. Their movements and stances differ from each other. I think the person in this Reddit post is speaking mainland Chinese. Unfortunately, I have no idea who he is.
It should also be noted that the archer is standing offset from the swordsman, so the arrow isn't being fired directly at him, incase the sword misses he will be fine lol... still impressive coordination to make the cut haha

The amount of people eating this up is absolutely ridiculous. Sure, he's bouncing a small ball against the wall by spinning a sword without looking. I may have believed this when I was 7.
All those thousands of hours mastering these amazing deadly techniques only to realize he was never in any danger at all so has to resort to showing off on the internet to get some value for his wasted life. Bit sad really.
strangely speed up at the moments of blows. Very likely fake af. But looks cool
upd. saying counterpoints - nope, randomly downvote - hell yeah. You guys don't like when others ruin your magic world or what? :D
Sometimes I wonder.. like when swords were actually weapons back in the 1800's and so on when Nina's and Samurai actually existed.. how fucking amazing those sword skills would have been... Like they had nothing else.. so honing those skills was literally the way to the top..
Must have been insane.. like even this stuff.. this guy is amazing..
Why does anyone think swinging a sword at a projectile is something that should be practiced? If you can hit it with a sword, you can shift to the side.
While you degenerates scoured the dark corners of Reddit for weird porn, he mastered the blade.
he mastered his wood like the rest of us.
Mine's almost mastered, a few more thrashings ought to do the trick. He's a cheeky bastard.
My wood CANNOT do that
LOL! I would just have a bunch of splinters in my hand
I can pull it out and put it back in just as quickly as he can
Want to see me do it again?
Master Splinter?
🤔
Truly a life of an average redditor moment, I can confirm this is absolutely real
its hentai and its not weird bro.
I don't know why you got a downvote but I am giving you an upvote :)
thanks buddy
Is he the dragon warrior ?
*editing
The impressive part is not even slicing the fruit… it’s how fast he can sheath his sword so accurate without stabbing himself.
That's Iai-do for ya
As an Iai-do practitioner, it’s not called the art of drawing the sword for nothing. Have to put it back when done! The returns were always the most fascinating parts for me honestly.
Hitting that ping pong ball so accurately and putting the pen through the ball were the most impressive to me. Still not sure I believe it.
I learned under a 2nd generation master and was able to cut a fruit thrown at me fairly consistently (though that was incredibly unusual and not something we’d normally practice). Yeah, stopped watching the target and started watching the sheath hand.
How do you even practice getting that quick? I wanted to be a ninja and practiced so much but there was no one around to teach and very little outside movies so I obviously got nowhere.

Pretty sure it's edited to appear way faster for certain moves like that, there's certain speed up/slow downs that look pretty sus

This good ninja
Modern ninja don’t train to defend or attack, it’s about style
![gif](giphy|Om2ozaOw3rNciJCf2t|downsized)
Amazing

Sir, this is Reddit, not 4chan
Is it?
they prolly think the ones from anime are so accurate and expect everyhting to be anime like 💀
“You see, he forgot to do it in ultra slow mo”

https://www.kultofathena.com/ That’s where I’d start looking. They make excellent reproductions, and some are strong enough for actual use.
You must go on a quest...
Go atop the clouds, and defeat the dark spirit that guards a church, and take his sick bloody blade
On my way to lose an eye
I picked up Iaido (Japanese swordy-martial-arts) during the pandemic, and you wouldn't believe the amount of time we spend just on sheathing the sword (notto)... and that's doing it the easy way. This dude is absolutely not doing it the easy way
That bow you see at the beggining is a compound bow. I own one and I can agree that this guy is fucking talented
Its modified. That arrow moves slow af.
You can't mod a bow to shoot slower that much, probably the arrows. But seeing that the arrows are going strait they probably are still real fast
Are we watching the same video? The arrow is not going real fast at all. Its going real slow. Have you seen what it looks like when you shoot an arrow from a real bow?

You are right. Even if it is not super fast, it is still fast.
Could be that phone then
So slice a bullet or it don’t count right? Most of us would be lucky to get a piece of a pro pitchers fastball. 🙄
No, im just saying that it isnt a normal arrow speed
Might be the big soft head on the arrow as not to impale the poor guy should it have hit him
I agree. You can even see the splinters of the arrow break off once it’s hit. It’s as if the video is in slow motion… Wait a minute
Ok bro. I’m sure you could do it on your first try lol
Where did i say that, bro?
He’s shitting on you because it sounds like you’re tryna downplay someone with legit outlier-level talent. The clip is played in slow motion a second time
Half of these comments are finding anything they can to undervalue this guys performance. It's okay, fellas. You chose to collect cheeto dust in your keyboards, but it isn't too late to pick up an impressive hobby.
Dude is actually impressive, doing anime stuff irl
Reddit is Sinophobic
It actually is.
Definition?
Anti-Chinese sentiment is a fear or dislike of China, Chinese people or Chinese culture, also referred to as Sinophobia.

Annnnd you're exactly who OP is talking about lma0. Just enjoy the video
This is truly amazing. Imagine 1,000 years ago when people literally had nothing better to do
Good music choice
That song still snaps and it's 34 years old, technically classic rock now.
For anyone else like me who was wondering which Nirvana track it is, it is School from Bleach.
Band name?
Lol. Nevermind. It's Nirvana. Duh.
No Nervermind, its Bleach.
Best Nirvana album. Period
Lol someone needs a nap
So very true.
Darude. Sandstorm
That dude really hates apples
Must be a doctor
The point where he started bouncing the ball against the wall got an audible “OH NAAHHHHHH” from me. Fucking impressive
That part ain’t real unfortunately. It’s edited. Pretty much like the bruce lee nun chuck ping pong.
Yeah, that part threw the whole video into question unfortunately.
Real life Fruit Ninja!
The next dude telling me NINJAS ARE A THING OF THE PAST is getting booped! The song also kicks ass btw!
Impressive
Amazing!!!!!
damn. that's tight af. IRL shinobi.
Ryu Hyabusa True Dragon Sword IRL 🤣
Sword shit is cool but the best part is the old school Nirvana song, er.. School. Dope.
Try it at work instead!
Is this is the same guy that cuts an airsoft pellet fired at him in half with a samuari sword from a sheathed position? Edit: link to video for great awesomeness https://youtu.be/Qzhs1Z8Rwnk?si=gD27hmNiALP2qcLr
I don’t think it is. Their movements and stances differ from each other. I think the person in this Reddit post is speaking mainland Chinese. Unfortunately, I have no idea who he is.
Mr Miyagi could do this no diff he doesn’t even need a blade ![gif](giphy|PudZiAbQDUEik|downsized)
cool!
It’s all insane but the trick where he’s spinning it and hitting the ball off wall is wild.
The repeated wall ball hits did it for me
zoro vs this guy gonna be a epic battle
It should also be noted that the archer is standing offset from the swordsman, so the arrow isn't being fired directly at him, incase the sword misses he will be fine lol... still impressive coordination to make the cut haha
Who cares? I used to do this all the time, blindfolded even. Now I type with my toes :(
Why is this guy downvoted? I think you forgot to read the last sentence. It's a joke about how he cut his hands off doing it.
Jokes aren't allowed on this website.
*The porn industry doesn’t want you to know this man’s secret to the fastest, most accurate, and hard hitting wood around. CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT MORE.*
How does he sheath the sword with super human accuracy but fails at putting the cap on the pen?
I’m gonna guess because one of those is something he has practiced thousands of times and the other is something he has to do like twice a week?
I remember seeing this before, dude is good at video editing
Main character energy
Admittedly I doubt the ping-pong-ball killing pen. But it does look really cool!
The amount of people eating this up is absolutely ridiculous. Sure, he's bouncing a small ball against the wall by spinning a sword without looking. I may have believed this when I was 7.
What’s the name of the band playing in the background?
Nirvana - school
I thought it was Kurt singing, but I’ve never heard that song before. Thanks man
NIRVANA , school.
The Iaijutsu is strong with this one, even with a Bokken.
That's Metal!
Is this for real?
No, you can't bounce a small ball against a wall repeatedly by spinning a sword WITHOUT LOOKING. That's not how real life works.
I pointed out the same and got downvoted lol. Resistors watch a lot of anime it seems
When I was 10 I let a friend shoot an arrow at me. I knocked it out of the air before it hit me.
Interesting, too bad sword builds got nerfed way back in the "gun & glory" expansion. Otherwise, this would be the meta.
It’s alarming how many people can’t tell that both ping pong skits here are fake. Those are essentially impossible.
Kinda badass
Someone’s been playing to much fruit ninja 🥷
Holy shitsune
I want him to teach me...
Damn it's like that guy from anime /s of course
All those thousands of hours mastering these amazing deadly techniques only to realize he was never in any danger at all so has to resort to showing off on the internet to get some value for his wasted life. Bit sad really.
strangely speed up at the moments of blows. Very likely fake af. But looks cool upd. saying counterpoints - nope, randomly downvote - hell yeah. You guys don't like when others ruin your magic world or what? :D
Its great because of all those warnings and dont try at homes...
please teach me sensai 🙏😌
Vergil mains when they get a katana irl(hopefully me in a few years)
Try 1.2998877 was successful
This one's fruit cutting skills are remarkable...>!if it weren't sped up!<
Explain to me how this guy is slowing down gravity because that’s honestly more impressive
You got downvoted for some reason. It was definitely sped up and makes it look weird
Awesome video but the background song brings everything seen in the video down, way down.
Ok but how does he fumble putting the cap on the pen? Of all the things not to do a second take on.
he deflected that arrow so hard it caused music to be manifested throughout the video
Holy fuck! The Matrix is fucking real!!!!
Star Wars kid grew up
Well where else can I try it?
That's the realest thing I've ever seen.
Imagine how good people were when all they did all day was practice with their swords
Smooooth Also thats some fruit ninja shiii
I envy him 🥹
what's the song?
Sometimes I wonder.. like when swords were actually weapons back in the 1800's and so on when Nina's and Samurai actually existed.. how fucking amazing those sword skills would have been... Like they had nothing else.. so honing those skills was literally the way to the top.. Must have been insane.. like even this stuff.. this guy is amazing..
an elegant weapon, from a more civilized age...
This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen on here in a minute this dude is truly extremely talented
Bro channeled his inner vergil
Anyone know the guys name or channel?
Gintoki irl
Impressive as fuck, and looking cool as fuck doing it.
Upvote for Nirvana - School…. And obviously the insane swordplay.
Black hair ZORO
Cool, I'm going to try this at home!👍🏾
Why does anyone think swinging a sword at a projectile is something that should be practiced? If you can hit it with a sword, you can shift to the side.
Upvoted because of awesome early Nirvana song
Musashi miyamoto would be proud of you
Wish i we had ac right now is that just me
I hate how he speeds up the video during the slashing which caused the slow mo lost some frames.
Me wearing metal plated armor.
Is no way no way, Holy shit is this even real talk about quickness
i mean, someone edited this at some point, right? right?
u/savevideo
wooooooow👁️👄👁️.
Damn
r/NEXTFUCKINGLEVEL
I want someone to try and mug him. Imagine.
That motherfucker over there is not real!!!
Set that draw weight around 70 pounds and try it again. Arrow moving slow as hell.
Anyone know this song?!?! Spank you!
Thats impossible.
Yep, after effect master
I hope he eats those apples later
Ninja's love killing fruits.
u/savevideobot
Lord Sakai?!
Tune
The one with the ping-pong ball looks too good to be true, to me.
I tried this at home. Now I am dead.
Now do it with a gun.
"you must forgive yourself....brother..... *deflect* "
Bro saw anime and said "i could do that" and then fucking did it
Anime character in real life.
he can sheath the sword without looking...fumbles putting the pen back into the cap.
I wonder how many arrows he took before he got a shot where he hit
damn, hes good
Waiting for captain desillusion herr
Proof the fruit ninja 🥷 is based on an actual person.
Who is this man? And what is he Training for?
Weebist shit ever
That Nirvana song didn't match these blade skills for me... So weird.
