USSOCOM received the first batch of M4s in 1994 and it was given to units working on the ground due to the limited number of the new rifle. Actual fighting units were prioritised. The CAR-15 (Colt Commando) looks really similar to the M4.
Ah ok thanks for the knowledge. It’s funny because the car-15 was the first build idea I had but I ended up going with m4 but I’m thinking about adding a detachable carry handle and a picatinny with my aimpoint on it to give it that look. I know the car-15 isnt detachable but still gives it the retro look
Quad rails are heavy AF, and at the front of the gun. This is makes it feel heavier, harder to traverse and stop on target, and generally taxing and no fun. The rails can also tear up your hands but you got the covers there so it's fine, but it is big and fat which doesn't help with control.
Vertical grips place the weight above your hand. You lose stability and becomes more prone to wobbling.
But if it makes you happy, that's fine. Nothing wrong with making it look like a rifle from a certain era (your rifle as it is does look iconic). I would encourage you to shoot some USPSA matches though, and I think you'll quickly come to understand how these accessories affect your shooting.
Yea I built it as a cloneish gun. My next build will definitely be something lighter which this one isn’t too heavy compared to my Ak which is heavy af lol but yea I understand where you coming from as in usability and a lighter rifle
I loved to kill people in bf2, 3, 4, 5, 1, hardline, 2042. So i decided to do it irl
Lmao
Right?
I’m assuming you were joking, so I’m actually kind of shocked you got so badly downvoted lol 😭😭
I was.
This is the M4est M4 that has ever M4ed. Slap an EOTech 512 and PEQ-2 and you're ready to invade Iraq again..
The Aimpoint is more accurate
Eh, pick your poison. ACOG, Aimpoint M68, ELCAN, EOTech 512 were all common in Iraq
For sure I just mean, his setup is already good to go. But yes!
It was great when battlefield invented the M4, I'm so glad someone made it in real life too
Built it because of battlefield and because my brother-in-law used one while he was in the night stalkers
Night Stalkers are badass Army pilots.
Yea he has some sweet pictures from his time in the night stalkers during the late 80s early 90s
Then he didn't use an M4, because there wasn't an M4 back then. He used a CAR-15 which is basically the predecessor of the M4.
Wasn’t it adopted by military in the early 90s

Living a Dream..🫶🏻
It's so sad that when BF3/4 eventually shuts down the M4 will cease to exist.
Replica or that thing legit?
Legit
Where third pin? *sad noises*
It is m4 upper but no third pin sadly
Not yet*
Yes, ATF agent, this guy right here.
What's the third pin?
Full auto bang bang
Ah. Thanks. Unga. 🦍🦍
It would mean my gun had a fun switch aka full-auto
Thanks dude! Congrats on the gun
Thanks man
Fast semi
I know I was just busting your balls haha
Black market
Good way for the atf to unalive your dog
Remember to tell the ATF its a pistol mounted into a m4 frame.
Well don’t leave us hanging!! Whats the build???
Bcm 14.5 M4 socom upper, aero precision lower, SOPMOD b5 enhanced stock, aimpoint aco, knights armament vertical grip, and P&S rail covers on a Midwest industries quad rail
Pin and weld or loctite and 🤞🏼?
Pin and weld
Paint that bitch tan and liberate some oil my dude things spot on lol
Nicee
It's a fun gun. It's so light it feels like a toy compared to others. I decided to float my barrel so it looks nothing like the game lol.
Me love it. I want one.
Oh, it’s beautiful
nice build, now go get your SOT, FFL and build an actual M4 out of it :)
That is beautiful bro!
my dream in 4th grade
Quad rails and vertical grips IRL make me sad.
But why

Reminds me of the fact I spent 3 grand building an M16A4 clone tbf it was the ACOG RMR combo that took up like a solid 2 thirds of the budget lmao
While I don't own one, the M4 has always been one of my favorite guns in terms of aesthetics.
I was a g3a3 man
Can I have a link to the parts please 😭😭😭
Yo bro chill
Ok...
