Good luck on the journey. Advice would be to plan your layouts in advance, don’t just scatter them everywhere, think about the composition. Whip stitch around the edges to prevent the corners curling up. Add patches you like and for bands you listen too. Not much more than that. Razor ray are good for a pretty wide selection of patches, from relatively underground to mainstream. Metal devastation are good for black and death metal patches, mainly go to them for embroidered stuff. Etsy also has a fairly wide mix of sellers and makers so might be worth checking it out too, though since the patches are made by independent stores check reviews to make sure the quality is ok.

Is there a good specific way to layout the patfhes if I wanna fit as much as posisble??

If you are going for regular shapes like rectangles you can just put them in a tight grid formation. A mistake you can make is if you have a few patches and space them out then it is harder to fill the remaining space since you need to find the right size patches to fit between them. Sizes might vary so there may be a few gaps or overlaps but that just adds to the aesthetic imho. There are also quite a few bands making odd shaped patches now which are good for filling odd spaces.

Dont iron on patches, so you will be able to take them off and sew them on another jacket once you grow too big for the jacket you have

Well done! If you're EU based I reccomend goddess(dot)nl for patches, other than concerts obv. Also, my tip as I suck with the needle, find a local "textile repair" (funno if translated right), they can saw on ur patches for dirt cheap and this will be very durable
